League of Legends: Let's Talk About uhhh??

More kills means less exp and opportunities for the opponents because they spend that time dead while they could be obtaining cs or kills. True his cs is terrible, but you got to remember the fact that if you aren't on the field (by being dead), you miss out on plenty of those moments.

creep score is a much more reliable source of income, to expect to get 10+ kills for your gold income every game means you will be very inconsistent

That's probably more applicable to DotA, since you lose gold when you die there as well. Apparently, our whole LoL server here has the same mentality because they WON'T. STOP. CLASHING. Early game I'm about 0/0/0 with around 50 CS while they have around 10 CS with around 3/5/4 or something.

if you have 12 kills there's no reason why you also shouldn't have the most CS in the game, unless you've been constantly roaming and somehow getting kills off the time

my kat games typically look like 14/4/5 or something but i'll have 250+ CS to back it up

beating your lane opponent means faster items means not missing a single CS and zoning the enemy completely out of their CS

it's not a matter of "pick one, lots of kills or lots of creeps"

it's a matter of "you're fed, good for you. now are you mechanically proficient enough to still farm every creep while maintaining your lead"

to be fair he was in a 2v1 lane vs darius and either sivir or yi idr which

and all of his kills came from roaming/teamfights

I love when the "best" player on the other team doesn't understand that you have to keep your cs up even if you are fed on kills. Then I stroll into team fights with like 3 kills but higher level and with better gear.

I do have games where I allow my teammates to throw me off my cs. I think allowing my team to negatively influence my play is my biggest weakness right now. Stuff like them making bad engages repeatedly forcing me to try and babysit them when I need to be farming.

user jittery bug had 12 kills which is better than that cs.

Minion value increases to an extent as time goes on in the game, so for simplicity's sake, let's just say a creep is worth 26g. A kill is worth 300g, and thus only 12 (rounded up) creeps. They are worth more creeps in the early game (and you'll snowball harder with them). Keep in mind that the more kills you get on a single person, unless their bounties are reset, the less they're worth. Almost everyone on the enemy team went negative (and I was there), so it's unlikely he got more than one shutdown, if any. 200 cs, which is about as much as Yeti (the person with the most kills, cs, and gold on the team), will yield you like 5.2k, whereas 12 kills at 300g (which is pretty generous due to the aforementioned caveat about shutdowns), gives you 3.6k.

Minions are more reliable income than kills, as has been stated previously. Kills are great, but you WILL make more money from having a high amount of cs, so it's important to get both. You'll notice 4/5 members of the enemy team had more farm than him despite their frequent deaths.

It's important to not let your farming fall off after laning phase, because otherwise you'll fall behind in gold amount significantly. And if you kill them several times in lane but they still outfarm you enough to have caught up even factoring in being zoned and the respawn timers (this is particularly important if they outscale you), did you really stomp your lane? Did you shut them down hard enough? Nopers. If you kill them, that's free farm time for you, unless you need to go back or are roaming. When they're back, zone them and increase the gold margin even more by getting more last hits than they can.

Shame that this has to happen, though apparently not caused by the aram at all.

D:

However, that aram match was a very enjoyable one to watch ^^

reddit blowing up. I agree with taking away circuit points. Taking money that was earned sucks, dont know how I feel about that.

Taking away the money is huge mistake. This is like complaining when teams don't take preseason seriously. If anyone has ever seen an NFL preseason before, it's a hell of a lot less competitive than any of the games we've seen today.

This was not a serious tournament and I don't see how anyone can blame these teams for not taking it seriously.

taking away the circuit points didnt really matter as they were both qualified to play in regionals it just changed who faced which team. curse probably didnt want to face Evo since salce is living with them, but evo is a lot weaker than TD anyway so its really not that bad. brackets

money isnt really an issue. both teams are already salaried and curse in particular are salaried extremely well. and both teams will probably be salaried by riot in season 3. considering how big of a deal collusion is in esports and especially with MLG, they are lucky it wasn't something much worse.

i guess the real concern here is how the asian scene will react to this. Im going to guess that dignitas will never be invited back to OGN st viscous' fan base is going to plummet... Hotshot #1 yankee now.

it wasnt about the aram, curse and dig colluded to let curse win so they could get more circuit points and would split the money

are you a serious human???

Yeah they obviously wouldn't punish them so harshly if all they did was play an aram in the finals... the teams agreed to a split that would benefit them both and got caught and punished. Not much else to say, it was just an understandable course of actions taken by everyone involved.

I don't think I ever mentioned ARAM, I was talking about noncompetitive games. Colluded games basically means noncompetitive, my points all stand.

I'm sure you realise that curse could not possibly have gotten any other position than 4th, nor any other opponent than TSM.evo. Dignitas could have played Legion or Dynamic depending on how their match went, and I see no problem in them deciding to lose (maybe? was there any proof that they threw?) to face their choice of opponent.

I'm very serious, and your arguing about Salce just shows that you don't understand the scenario in the slightest.

EDIT: My bad, I just realised that the reddit post you linked is inaccurate. Not entirely your fault.

Just had an incredible game as Ashe. Went 12/3/16 and had an amazing Soraka and Lee Sin. I had the most kills on our team but it was really Soraka who carried me in lane and Lee's ganks really helped seal mid and he secured objectives flawlessly. I did have one moment that left both teams with their jaws on the floor though. (I'm blue team) I was farming bot while the rest of my team got into a 4v5 mid. They played it smart and held the enemy team off from turret so they all tried to come gank me. I over extended a bit past river so everyone just assumed I was going to be ganked and would be dead. I began to head back to my turret and shot my E into the river. I see Ryze and Riven coming for me and at the same time Ezreal and Janna are coming for me through the lane. I shoot my R at Ryze and Riven hitting them both and head for turret. Diana comes at me from tribush and shoots her Q. I time my flash perfectly to dodge it and even shoot her with my W as I run to make it under turret. So mad I'm an average to below average player and so don't record my matches.

I was due for some good teammates too. I feel like if you win too many games in a row they just throw shitty players and leavers on your team until your win percentage is back at 50.

AP rengar is ridiculously fun

he gets shit on by people who can punish him with short, bursty harass when he gets close - notably, ryze - but he's amazing vs morgana and a lot of other AP mids that don't have targeted nukes

W has a 1.0 AP scaling so you go in with 3 or 4 ferocity, E them, then W-W and Q+auto if you can get them off. adds up to quite a bit of damage and a 15% heal, and it's spammable. starting at level 5 you can insta-clear ranged creeps with double W and at level 7 you can do the same to melee

at level 9 and a small amount of AP you can kill ranged creeps with one W

in top lane he has exceptional harass by jumping out of brush and using W+W then E to disengage

in mid he can burst down APs with E into W+W and he farms extremely well considering that you can take wraiths and wolves very quickly in between waves

if you want to kill you can do a standard harass combo then ult when you're at 0 ferocity, wait about three seconds to hit full stacks again, jump on them and W+ignite and that should be a kill

build usually involves boots-lucky pick-deathcap-deathfire

abyssal is very good, as is lich bane
