League of Legends: Let's Talk About uhhh??

<Thorns> banshees is good on singed

<LonelyNess> singed is plenty fast with just MS quints and his ultimate thorns
<LonelyNess> fon is overkill

Banshees is great on Singed.

After he gets his FoN.

It always baffles me how people undervalue movement speed on the one champion that should never be standing still for more than the fraction of a second it takes to cast Fling.

I think I'll make a speed tiers list for LoL, cause Singed is out sped by so many top threats without FoN.

I called AD carry but once the enemy team took Varus I decided to be support since no one else wanted to do it. Through poor communication we end up with three tanks, two people who wanted solo top and no ranged carry. Because of our teams insane CC at level 1 we decide to invade and end up getting the Ace with me getting a triple kill. Two or three of us die, however.

So bot lane ends up being Cho and I against Varus and Ashe (who both have Promote for some reason.) It starts off pretty poorly despite the Ace because most of the kills went to me and I still built support so it wasn't like I turned the gold into insane damage. Their range advantage was really annoying at first (also cho couldn't really land q) and we had to keep going b. Eventually we got a gank from Amumu and got the kill on both. We started getting the advantage when Cho's CS started to really pick up. Then we just started feeding on them. Cho had RDC at 15 minutes. They surrendered after our second ace.

I want to bring up a theoretical AD caster item that builds from Brutalizer.

How would you balance it so AD carries wouldn't automatically buy it because it would be fantastic on them?

(thorns you're not allowed to answer this question)

Big boost in CDR, small boost in AD, unique passive that grants AD stacks when abilities are used. Maybe combine with a Sapphire Crystal. I'd say Sheen but for the AP.

What vonFiedler said.

Really, the key is the CDR boost, since AD carries don't need that, but AD Casters do. The rest was interesting frills, although I disagree with the mana bit, since quite a few AD Casters don't use mana.

Iunno I have an idea

+55 AD
UNIQUE Passive: +30 Armor Penetration
UNIQUE Passive: +15% Spell Vamp
UNIQUE Passive: +25% Cooldown Reduction
UNIQUE Passive: On cast, your next basic attack deals bonus damage equal to 100% of your bonus attack damage. (10 second duration)

Key point here is Spell Vamp to encourage more spellcasting, so now your Pantheon can spam spears to heal!. I added the last passive because some casters get autoattack modifiers, such as Renekton (W), Talon (Q), and Riven (Passive). This is especially notable on Riven and Renekton as they have a lot of aoe and can't make a whole lot of use of the spellvamp in duels. Urgot also enjoys the spellvamp with his spammable Qs :D

Though, Sivir does seem to enjoy something like this, but eh. Most AD Carries would probably go with the regular build anyways.

A really cheap way out is to have a passive that decreases the holder's attack speed but honestly Riot would never do something like that.

I don't see how AD casters would ever make ranged AD carries useless. Do current APs make AD carries useless? No, and AD casters are the same, but in AD form. The advantage AD carries have over every other role is their ability to output ridiculous lategame DPS, and not even the feddest AD caster can compare to that, cause they have burst damage, and yeah some sustained damage, but nowhere near the DPS an AD carry has.

Here is the difference: Most AD Melee Casters have some form of distance closer and CC move, or in Panth's case a CC and distance closer wrapped into one. They also have a considerable amount of more HP/natural bulk then AD ranged do. A ranged AD carry usually has a distance closer but lacks a CC and bulk, or has a CC but lacks a distance closer and bulk.with the exception of maybe a Bulky ass Urgot.Giving these AD melee casters an item that gives them more sustain/durability/cdr would increase there overall utility way beyond that of a Ranged AD carriesTheyre Q's would do more DMG and give thim fucktons of sustain due to the SpellVamp and there CC's and Distance Closers would be a lot more spammable due to the CDR..And yes it would put there DPS somewhere near and probably beyond that of a ranged carries.Because they would be using there CC's/Distance closers on the Ranged AD carries rpevent them from wreaking Havoc. Sure Its possible for a very good team to stop a jungle bruiser and an AD caster but if you throw in a 3rd one of these meat shields on the Ad range they are deffinitely gonna fall. The truth is it is already easy to counter the current Meta of ad/support bot with a bruiser and lets say Blitz as a partner if you gimp the AD carry early on in the game.Tghat item jsut makes it ten tiems easier.

um no but your will have an extra caster making it that much easier to zone out some squishy ad ranged. preventing those crits from happening in the first place.

As I see it,

AD Casters dominate Early to Early-Mid Game.
-Why? Opponent has lower defenses and thier skill-set leans towards later in the game.
-Items can only enhance AD casters burst by so much.
-Squishiness isn't a factor until Mid game and so on.
-Mid-Late is when team fights begin and its almost impossible to get in close to your burst target and getting away

AP dominate Mid to Late Game
-AP are reliant primarily levels and semi-dependent on items. High base damages skills with CC.

Ranged AD dominate Mid-Mid to Late Game
-100% dependent on items AND team support. An untouched AD Range will carry

Bruisers remain relevant all game
Support remain relevant all game

aaand I lost interest. But this is generally how I look at champs.

Eh Im okay with your list/chart thing except team fights do not start mid-late. a team fight is a team fight you can have early game team fights at dragon or invades that can set the pace of the entire game leave the match dramatically one sided.it all is dependent on how coorddinated the etam is and when to make the right plays.

This weeks free week is actually up on mobafire already, featuring

Amumu
Anivia
Caitlyn
Katarina
Kog'Maw
Nasus
Pantheon
Sejuani
Soraka
Veigar

Basically two champions I want to play that I've played before and three I want to try, so it's pretty good

edit: also apparently sejuani's korean name means "not three weeks" according to google translate haha

I've tried Anivia, Veigar, and Nasus. I have Amumu, Caitlin, Soraka (lol 450), and Sejuani. Could try Kat, Kog, and Panth I guess? None of them interest me.

I've played Sejuani before and liked her, but not enough to spend 6300 IP on her. So this'll be fun.

While I'm here, I'm going to theorycraft a bit. I was thinking of going Sejuani solo top instead of jungle or support because she gets tanky and packs a ton of CC. It's kind of like running Nautilus top. She'll get more farm, and therefore be bulkier and deal more damage then if you jungled her.

What do you think?

Gonna try Anivia and Katarina, as well as practise Caitlyn. I'm really excited about the Katarina free week, because last week I began to hope very much she would be free soon -- Katarina just looks really stylish and fun to play when you know what you're doing, so I think it's natural I'd want to play her and do horribly :D!

Veigar :3 Maybe Veigar too. So glad I don't play blind pick regularly anymore... Veigar vs. Veigar.........
