SPOILERS! Legends ZA Data Dumps - Adding Info to OP

oh my god is natdex finally going to be a somewhat real tier now? instead of the most stupid application of mechanics alive?

It’s always been real. I really don’t understand this bizarre hate boner attitude some of you have over such trivial things that are minor mechanics that don’t impact games on average, or at all.

Zygarde has a new Dragon Type signature move that hits even Fairy Types called Nihil Light.
Could be a story related boss battle only move though

I was gonna say Mega-ZygardeC wasn’t gonna be super busted…. But…

Tbh I'm not sure this matters THAT much given it already learns Sludge Wave, useful for switch-ins ofc but still

Regarding Nihil Light (big story spoilers):
Lysandre straight up says that "the move that Zygarde used when it Mega Evolved reminds of the Z-Moves used in the Alola Region". This is pretty big, since it's literally a Mega using a Z-Move-like, particularly for Champions lol although there's also a theory being thrown around that maybe Core Enforcer turns into Nihil Light when Zygarde Mega Evolves, as Core Enforcer has no secondary effect in this game. I can't confirm that, though.
Regarding the returning character (VERY BIG story spoilers):
After AZ dies, he leaves a Poké Ball with Lucario to you, saying a trainer, explicity said to be female, left to him so that he could defend himself, so it's most likely her. Also, in that same letter that he left, he says he also remembers "when that dark day fell over Galar", which is another fun reference since he indeed should be alive for the original Darkest Day.

Better look at some of these megas

Clearly the biggest, most glaring and obvious problem with this game is that there aren't more Alola Megas. Here's to the DLC remedying this!
they left out my gwagwa turtonator while giving drampa a sick mega. SAD!

i think the entire premise of natdex is flawed (reverting the move dexit already made it not real to me) but i like making fun of this more because its objectively stupid and funny to point out

The main thing is that it no longer has to predict switches when attacking, just spam stabs as wanting to.

??? The tier exists for those who want to play a format without Dexit screwing stuff around. Why is that "flawed"?

Especially since I think that the internal list of moves that has them numbered specifically for this game strangely had Agility numbered last or otherwise very far at the end of the LZ-A specific list. This suggests that Agility was originally left out for this game and then it was added back in late in development.

EDIT: I found the list I mentioned, it’s the one Kaphotics released a few days ago:

https://pastebin.com/K6xyBaQ5

And indeed, Agility is listed even after the new Nihil Light for LZ-A’s own list of moves. I’m convinced Agility was cut for a long while during development.

Exactlyyyyyyyy

Ever since the Zygarde cores were used to teach it signature moves, but also 2 common level up moves, I've been pondering if they were intending to give it Geomancy and Oblivion Wing as well.

Because eesh that'd be... scary.

ngl these story spoilers have done more to make me interested in the game than any of the marketing.

Literally the first thing the NatDex did this gen was quickban Shedinja because that thing was clearly never meant to be allowed to use Tera. Extrapolate from there.

holy shit this mega went from potential insane to potential ass. i will never assume because i remember how people were thinking spectrier was going to be awful in ou and then it got banned lol but this seems like such a complicated mega to pull off now
Use Substitute like people did back in Gen 7. Zygarde only needs STABs when one of its moves ignores an immunity.

I’m VERY curious what Agility is going to do in this game.

Every other speed boost (other than Geomancy) getting cut, speed influencing cool-downs and Agility being listed AFTER the brand new mystery move, really has me intrigued.

Do we have move descriptions yet??

Here's to hoping it gets a great ability (hopefully something to offset the fact that it has to be in 100% form to Mega Evolve AND only gets a 70 bst increase

Edit: Nihil Light also ignores stat changes. That's really cool.

It's kinda hard to tell how good mega feraligatr will be but it reminds me a lot of mega Gyarados where it really becomes a demon once set up, but even moreso

Though water/dragon is an ever so slightly better typing than water/dark even if both dual typings are cracked

Other than having less special bulk and more physical bulky it seems like just a better mega Gyarados in most ways since it gets more coverage and priority in aqua jet that mega Gyarados really wished it had
