SPOILERS! Legends ZA Data Dumps - Adding Info to OP

No idea the proof of this, but this is what some Chinese dataminers say the new megas for Dimensions are. Yes Absol, Lucario, and Garchomp get a second Mega
Man, the dream of double mega Marshadow didn't even make it through the night. But there's still two blank slots between Magearna and Melmetal, so I guess I'll move on to "unfinished list", primal Marshadow, or Marshadow unbound copium. :P

If nothing else, hopefully Marshadow is at least still in the dlc.

I'm taking this with a massive grain of salt. While Lucario getting second Mega is very believable due to favoritism, I cannot see the same happening to Absol or Garchomp. Plus these unknown guys somehow seemingly have more info than dataminers who have been doing this for over a decade.
To be fair, the chinese dataminers found the national dex numbers in SV well before the usual trusted dataminers.

And someone in soulsilverary's discord seems to have run their analysis and came to more or less the same list. (It seems like they claim a mega eternatus still, not sure what that's about)

Edit: apparently the original Chinese post is the OG Chinese riddler (not Khu).

Here are the dex entries for the new Megas.

>Clefable: It flies by using the power of moonlight to control gravity within a radius of over 32 feet around it.
>Victreebel: The volume of this Pokémon’s acid has increased due to Mega Evolution, filling its mouth. If it’s not careful, the acid will overflow and spill out.
>Starmie: Its movements have become more humanlike. Whether it’s simply trying to communicate or wants to supplant humanity is unclear.
>Dragonite: Mega Evolution has excessively powered up this Pokémon’s feelings of kindness. It finishes off its opponents with mercy in its heart.
>Meganium: This Pokémon can fire a tremendously powerful Solar Beam from its four flowers. Another name for this is Mega Sol Cannon.
>Feraligatr: With its arms and hoodlike fin, this Pokémon forms a gigantic set of jaws with a bite 10 times as powerful as Mega Feraligatr’s actual jaws.
>Skarmory: It flies faster than the speed of sound. After whipping up shock waves to send enemies flying, it finishes them off with its talons.
>Froslass: This Pokémon can use eerie cold air imbued with ghost energy to freeze even insubstantial things, such as flames or the wind.
>Emboar: Brandishing a blazing flame shaped like a serpentine spear, it rushes in to rescue its imperiled allies.
>Excadrill: If this Pokémon brings its arms and head together to form a streamlined shape and spins at high speeds, it can destroy anything.
>Scolipede: Its deadly venom gives off a faint glow. The venom affects Scolipede’s mind, honing its viciousness.
>Scrafty: Mega Evolution has caused Scrafty’s shed skin to turn white, growing tough and supple. Of course, this Pokémon is still as feisty as ever.
>Eelektross: It now generates 10 times the electricity it did before Mega Evolving. It discharges this electricity from its false Eelektrik, which are made of mucus.
>Chandelure: One of its eyes is a window linking our world with the afterlife. This Pokémon draws in hatred and converts it into power.
>Chesnaught: It has fortified armor and a will to defend at all costs. Both are absurdly strong.
>Delphox: It wields flaming branches to dazzle its opponents before incinerating them with a huge fireball.
>Greninja: This Pokémon spins a giant shuriken at high speed to make it float, then clings to it upside down to catch opponents unawares.
>Floette: The Eternal Flower has absorbed all the energy from Mega Evolution. The flower now attacks enemies on its own.
>Pyroar: This Pokémon spews flames hotter than 18,000 degrees Fahrenheit. It swings around its grand, blazing mane as it protects its allies.
>Malamar: It uses its colorful lights to overwrite the personalities and memories of others—and to control them.
>Barbacle: It uses its many arms to toy with its opponents. This keeps the head extremely busy.
>Dragalge: It spits a liquid that causes the regenerative power of cells to run wild. The liquid is deadly poison to everything other than itself.
>Hawlucha: Mega Evolution has pumped up all its muscles. Hawlucha flexes to show off its strength.
>Zygarde: In response to people’s emotions during an unprecedented crisis, Zygarde Mega Evolves and calms the situation with its unmatched power.
>Drampa: Drampa’s cells have been invigorated, allowing it to regain its youth. It manipulates the atmosphere to summon storms.
>Falinks: Mega Falinks has taken on the ultimate battle formation, which can be achieved only if the troopers and brass have the strongest of bonds.

Clefable: It flies by using the power of moonlight to control gravity within a radius of over 32 feet around it.
The description about controlling Gravity makes me hopeful of an ability that sets Gravity on switch-in, but it would be very counterproductive to Mega Clefable's Fairy/Flying typing.
Meganium: This Pokémon can fire a tremendously powerful Solar Beam from its four flowers. Another name for this is Mega Sol Cannon.
This description screams some kind of sun based ability. Is Solar Power too obvious of a choice?
Feraligatr: With its arms and hoodlike fin, this Pokémon forms a gigantic set of jaws with a bite 10 times as powerful as Mega Feraligatr’s actual jaws.
Strong Jaw feels like the only real choice here.
Skarmory: It flies faster than the speed of sound. After whipping up shock waves to send enemies flying, it finishes them off with its talons.
I saw someone suggest Tough Claws and honestly, with those talons, it fits quite well.
Emboar: Brandishing a blazing flame shaped like a serpentine spear, it rushes in to rescue its imperiled allies.
Chesnaught: It has fortified armor and a will to defend at all costs. Both are absurdly strong.
I could see either of these getting Friend Guard with descriptions like these. Though, Filter would also be a fun choice for Chesnaught.
Scrafty: Mega Evolution has caused Scrafty’s shed skin to turn white, growing tough and supple. Of course, this Pokémon is still as feisty as ever.
The explicit mention of Shed Skin seems quite clear. And it would combo nicely with Intimidate pre-mega.
Floette: The Eternal Flower has absorbed all the energy from Mega Evolution. The flower now attacks enemies on its own.
Parental Bond except now it's Floral Bond.
Dragalge: It spits a liquid that causes the regenerative power of cells to run wild. The liquid is deadly poison to everything other than itself.
Getting Regenerator would actually be an interesting twist for Mega Dragalge.
Drampa: Drampa’s cells have been invigorated, allowing it to regain its youth. It manipulates the atmosphere to summon storms.
Summoning storms sounds like it could match Drizzle. Drampa does learn Hurricane, Thunder and Hydro Pump so it could work quite well as a non-STAB wielding weather abuser.

if it keeps contrary it has to hope for insane stuff like psycho boost, or that they give it power trip

if it gets a new unique ability hopefully its something like topsy turvy your opponents or everyone lol

Relatively old post but man I really just realized it doesn't have Power Trip. Malamar is already a weird mon in that its main gimmick has no STAB, Power Trip would completely solve that. But nope nvm here's Close Combat lmao

No idea the proof of this, but this is what some Chinese dataminers say the new megas for Dimensions are. Yes Absol, Lucario, and Garchomp get a second Mega
Once again, Gamefreak is picking favorites and saying F U to its most loyal fans.

Mons like Lucario, Raichu, and Garchomp get 2 Megas in this expansion pack no problem, while the REAL Pokemon mascot (Charizard) that has kept GF's business afloat the last 30 years gets nothing as usual.

How much more must Charizard fans suffer? After years of nothing, you'd think gamefreak would throw us a bone. But nope. Slim pickings, while the rich get richer as usual.

Combined with the removal of Slowbro-Galar Mega and no remedy in the Mega Dimensions DLC and it is clear that quality is no longer of a concern to GF.

I'm taking this with a massive grain of salt. While Lucario getting second Mega is very believable due to favoritism, I cannot see the same happening to Absol or Garchomp. Plus these unknown guys somehow seemingly have more info than dataminers who have been doing this for over a decade.
I can believe it. Absol has always been fairly popular and has gotten a fair bit of spotlight (one of the first Pokemon to have a Mega revealed, had a major story role in PMD1) and Garchomp's status as Cynthia's ace makes it probably the second most popular pseudo legendary after Dragonite (and tbh it probably would be the most popular pseudo legendary if Dragonite didn't have the original 151 nostalgia boost bias - that's how iconic Cynthia is). They make perfect sense to get second Megas IMO.

Anyways though I'm a little miffed that Falinks will seemingly be the only Gen 8 Mega (like just imagine a Mega Toxtricity or Mega Corviknight...) I am super hyped for Mega Staraptor, Mega Golisopod, and Mega Baxcalibur!

:Delphox:
Delphox also has potential to be the best one of the Kalos starters with how similar its stats are to Flutter Mane.
Problem is that Flutter Mane also exists, is faster, gets Protosynthesis, and isn't a Mega either. Crazy how even Mega Delphox was powercrept by Flutter Mane.
While I get the comparison with Flutter Mane and it likely will be generally less splashable. In VGC I can at least see it carving a niche on Sun Psyspam teams like it's regular form did in Reg H. It could be one of the defacto Megas for the archetype. It's main competition being Gardevoir which it outspeeds handily and Mega Alakazam which is more high risk, high reward given it's higher power and speed but far worse defenses.

FWIW, remember that Chimecho, after the stat boost in SM, has the same stat total as Banette and Dusclops.

...

So yeah, all 3 of those should have evolved regularly, into something better than Dusknoir. Golbat and Primeape also have that stat total and look at their evos, even 23 years apart.

So it turns out we didn't even need to do any of the work ourselves: zkn_form.txt already has all the alt forms listed by name (presumably it's the part of the pokedex that tells you what form you're looking at)

Everything you said for the earlier gens matches it pretty perfectly, with some of the stuff being extra unnamed forms like totem pokemon or partner pikachu/eevee. For the later gens, they use index numbers and not pokedex numbers, so you get a few things like lando moving ahead of zekrom/reshiram and the gen IX gang being in their original datamined order. I'm looking over it right now to see what it might mean for megas.

Edit: Here's what I've found. As a disclaimer, it's entirely possible that some or all of these are not actually mega evolutions, and are some other sort of new form, like a regional or something. It's also possible that the order isn't what I think it is and all of these form IDs belong to other pokemon, whether new or old. And most importantly, it's very much possible that this is all meaningless junk data and the only new megas in the DLC are the Mega Raichus. But probably not.

Raichu X (confirmed)
Raichu Y (confirmed)
Mega Chimecho or Mega Tropius
Mega Wynaut? (Could be a second Mega Absol, actually)
Mega Something Sinnoh (After Deoxys, so it is a Sinnoh pokemon, but one before Burmy. Staraptor? Luxray? Roserade?)
Mega Munchlax? Second Mega Garchomp?
Mega (Lucario 2/Hippowdon/Drapion/Toxicroak/Carnivine/Finneon)
Mega Heatran
Mega Darkrai
Mega Mienshao/Golurk (I know someone on r/stunfisk who'd be happy about that)/Bouffalant
Mega Meowstic (unless it's mimi evolving into a secret third meowstic or something)
Mega Vikavolt (pleasepleaseplease) or Mega Crabominable (its gonna be the crab goddammit)
Mega Something Between Salazzle and Silvally
THE WEIRD PART: There are 5(!) scrubs in between Original Color Magearna and GMax Melmetal. If one of these is Mega Zeraora, then the others might be the other gen VII mythicals (including Magearna) + Naganadel. I feel like it'd be weird to have something for Stakataka or Blace but not both of them (or any of the other regular ultra beasts), but if there's one thing game freak's good at, it's not following a pattern.
THE WEIRD PART 2: Right after Crowned Zamazenta, there's an entry that's scrubbed like the rest of these, but it has a tag, unlike everything else in the document. Notably, GMaxes (including Eternamax Eternatus) are considered the 999th form of their respective pokemon, so it might be something funky related to that. I never played Sword or Shield myself, so I don't really know if there was like a cutscene exclusive Eternatus form or something.
Mega (Arboliva/Scovillain/Bellibolt/Revavroom/Orthworm)
Mega (Maushold/Cetitan/BIG BAX)
THE WEIRD PART 3: There are another 6 mystery entries between Tatsugiri and Squawkabilly, going by the SV internal order. The part about this that's weird, though, is that there only 5 fully evolved pokemon possible for that even if you count Tatsugiri. If these really are all mega evolutions, then we would be getting another set of X/Y megas (possibly even two!) with Tatsugiri, Cyclizar (one based on Koraidon, one based on Miraidon?) Pawmot, Kilowattrel, and Bombirdier as candidates.
Lastly, there's one more scrubbed entry between White Squawkabilly and Roaming Gimmighoul. This could be a lot of things: Flamigo, Klawf, Garganacl, Glimmora, Grafaiai, Dachsbun, Mabosstiff, Brambleghast, or of course something for Squawkabilly itself.
Also, all of the SV DLC pokemon are listed after all of the alternate forms, with their own alts (plus bluna) listed after that.

I do think I'm on to something here, though. Other leak stuff indicates that Z-A was intended to release a lot earlier, so it makes sense that there'd be fragments of what they developed for the DLC in its code since it can be hard to fully scrub everything. To give a comparison, Monster Hunter Wilds had a similar thing happen with it just under a year ago, where its open beta test (made from a development build with scrubbed data) ended up not only having data on all of the monsters and areas in the final game, but major story beats as well. And Pokemon is of course no stranger to this, either, what with the Sun & Moon demo fiasco and all. Also, excluding the different WEIRD PARTS (aside from part of the first one), the total list seems to come up to 15 megas, which matches perfectly with the DLC teaser.

and you know its important when i bust out the proper grammar
So there's a few oddities between the zkn_form list and the zukan_comment lists!
1. zkn_form normal Pokemon listing actually goes up through 1010 (Iron leaves). The zukan_comment list as I mentioned earlier, only went up through 1005
2. Hisuian Growlithe & Arcanine just are not in the comment list?

So it's no wonder I was going crazy. Indeed it seems all the Hisuian bosses are removed from the list. This is also why I couldn't find Origin Dialga & Palkia. Exept Avalugg, I guess because it is in the game; but its boss listing is removed (assuming it even had it, it was so different).
3. One of Hisuian Sneasel or Galarian Corsola isn't present in the zukan comment list.
4. One of the Zen Modes didnt make it the comment list. Not sure which one, guess it doesn't really matter
5. The Female Unfezant, Frillish, Jellicent all get entries in the form list but not the comment list.
6. One of the Kyurems is just arbitrarily left off the zukan comment list. Odd.
7. Totem Vikavolt isn't in the comment list. All the others are?
8. One of the scrubbed entries is moved around in the Gen 7 section
Comment List you can see there's one between what I believe now to be Totem Togedemaru & the Mimikyus, which would point to a potential Mega Mimikyu. Meanwhile there's four between What appears to be OC Magearna and GMax Melmetal

And some spot-checks on my earlier gen list:
-Forgot the alolan rats lol. Including the totems, as you mentioned earlier.
-Cosplay Pikachus aren't in this, I just stumbled into the perfect filler for that section. Forgot about Partner LG Pika and GMax.
-I forgot GMax Gengar
-Going off the observation of the Hisuian Growlithes not being here, I deduced that the Alolan Marowak mixup was because Hisuian Electrode isn't here. When you remove looking for that and add back in GMax Gengar & Totem Marowak, it aligns perfectly.
-The 2 tagged ones I couldn't ID around the wormadams and shellos were the Mothims. I forgot that interally, even though there are no differences, Mothim has different IDs because of it evolving from different Burmys
-The Silvally & Miniors were prettys pot on. Original Color Magearna does NOT appear to be scrubbed, which is interesting. Per others thoughts it does seem like at least one of Magearna, Marshadow or Melmetal would recieve an "X / Y" treatment. Probably not Zeraora.

And some spot-checks against your comments:
-Chimecho is scrubbed, Tropius isn't. So its likely mega chimecho, assuming we're even on the right path
-It's almost certainly Staraptor. It's in the scrub list but Luxray and company arent.
-Golurk in scrub list, Mienshao & Bouffalant aren't
-Crabominable is the scrub list, Vikavolt isn't
-Between Salazzle & Silvally, even with my revisions, it would still point towards either Golisopod or Palossand since they're in the scrub list.

So Gen 8 & 9 in the form list is pretty well documented, but the comment list is real bad.

That's the entirety of it, with 14 scrubbed entries. There's also no help from the scrubbed list I outlined earlier; after Falinks the only gen 8 pokemon are 2 from L:A and those can't be the scrubbed entries just after Eiscue.

But the form list is much more robust

Also I refuse to believe that list simply because Absol gets a second Mega. This is complete nonsense, I'd rather bet on some stupid boss-only form or something like that.

are they seriously going to ignore Flygon again jfc

I'm probably alone here but I'm much more annoyed by the lack of a Slowking Mega than lack of Flygon. I get everyone loves it but it felt like the guy got done dirty more because of what happened with Gardevoir and Gallade and is now happening with Glalie and Froslass. Hell you could even do something silly to make it fair with the variants. Make a Galarian Slowking Mega so only one half of each of the Slowtwins can Mega evolve.

I assume there'll be some kind of plot reason in the DLC for why it makes sense that we're getting dupe megas. "This mega evolution is/works different compared to the mega evolution you know and love, look what it did to Absol!" stuff.

Probably will bring back zard and Mewtwo and explain what "Y" mega evolution really is, that kinda thing.

Because otherwise it's legit just bad business sense to have dupe megas for mons that no one was really asking for and aren't already massive cash cows (Absol is tbf but chomper's day's long gone) and this would tie into the several mons who we think are getting multiple megas in the DLC (one of them confirmed with Raichu).

Half of the game's identity seems to be providing more lore to mega evolution anyway and I'd say this is one of the most obvious routes to take with a DLC to continue developing it further

Honestly, I kinda see Absol getting a second Mega.

It was unusually prevalent in the marketing material for this game, with it even being the first (iirc) Mega boss we see, and was the example at various demo events. Plus, it’s not like GF hasn’t given two forms to non-normie Pokemon before; look at Donphan and Volcarona. Both got two Paradox forms.

It’d actually be pretty funny if Mega Absol X/Y is the first boss for the DLC like the original Mega is for the base game lol
