Mandibuzz

If only Mandibuzz had Ground / Flying typing... it'd be like a bulkier Gliscor that could phase with Whirlwind. o_O

Although the lack of offense would suck, but you could still do something like Taunt / Toxic / Roost / Whirlwind.

This guy is the perfect partner for offensive poison types because it's immune to both they're weaknesses and Mandinuzz is particularly defensive.

Even with her middling offenses, she can still dent with a Brave Bird. Mandibuzz is usually used as a bulky status-inflicter, and she has Taunt at her disposal as well. Even though she isn't the bulkiest Pokemon out there, she can still take a few good hits while tossing status and Taunts. The immunities to Ground and Psychic help too, since Ground is a very common attacking move. Psychic is as well, to a lesser extent. She should be viable in lesser tiers like RU and NU, when the suspect tests are all over and done with.

Its Brave Bird hits a little harder than Jirachi Iron Head so its not completely helpless. Its problem is besides Knock Off and sorta taking hits it doesn't do much. Yeah it takes hits decently.. but so does Skarmory.. replacing a SR weakness with Spikes!

I guess its in lower tiers but it still has Zapdos to compete with.

Her defense is stellar!
Typing aside, she takes physical hits marginally better than Skarmory and there's no competition on the special side.
(For example, Max Atk Machamp's DynamicPunch does about 2% less to Max/Max Mandibuzz).
But Skarmory's Steel typing gives it all those resists and who can pass up Spikes/Stealth Rock?
Hopefully Mandibuzz gets some decent support options with the next game's tutors.
