if I had to pick

Eh I'd like to bolster my post count on there so my vote counts but I'd do something like:

Phoenix Wright is only because I don't have any better pick. I've never played Ace Attorney so meh. I'd want Nightcrawler but after what happened in the comics I'd like to leave him be. Kind of hard (for me anyhow) to find good Marvel picks without using X-Men XP

Game should be arriving in the mail today, so all I can do is wait :(

doctor strange would have been cool (dormammu and shuma gorath but no strange?) but i have too many favorites to have included him

Phoenix Wright is awesome. I can just picture his combo attack starting, "OBJECTION!!!!" followed by a verbal assault.

Doctor Strange would be sweet, and I'm surprised he wasn't included.

Picked it up. Pretty cool. Did the first few missions with Chris. Got to the one where you have to do the Gun attack in the air for a ground bounce. Raged. That attack comes out sooooooooo slow. Did even fewer missions with Spidey. Can't get the 623H -> H -> Maximum Spider HC to work AT ALL.
 
Been playing the game all day. (I'm using Dante - Spidey - Phoenix). X-factor + Dark Phoenix is basically an instant GG against most players but they can't get around it. Like seriously, I could lose with both Spidey + Dante and come back with Phoenix alone just like in this video.

The problem with Phoenix is when you start facing high-leveled players. I can't keep up with opposing teams because i'm saving my Hyper bars for Phoenix, and often times good players keep their X-factor for DP alone. Still, I see potential in this character. Definitely not beginner friendly.

Haunt is fantastic Phoenix player. He's effective with her, but he doesn't rely on her DP form.

Edit: MvC3 is damn awesome.
 
finally started playing it tonight after work. mission mode is really really frustrating for me right now. i don't know all that much about linking and combos and stuff that looks like it should combo supposedly doesn't and yeah.

when i was going for the Weapon X achievement I realized Wolverine is actually really, really fun to play as. my team I've been messing with so far is Wolverine, Hsein-Ko (also super fun), and Akuma/Super Skrull.

Super Skrull's just damn awesome. i love comboing things into Skrull Torch and Inferno.

This. Only I think I would replace Mr.F with Nightcrawler or something.

I'm loving Dante so much right now. Mission mode is kind of frustrating (I swear to god I'm pressing diagonally!!!111) it seems hard to register certain movements. It's great for teaching you some basic moves though.

I played it for many hours today, my team seemed to be Amaterasu, Phoenix, and Wesker--Wesker's crazy DBZ shit came naturally to me and Ammy's silly ground combos seemed really strong. Phoenix didn't seem the best but i have a combo from an AA projectile into her Super Phoenix down, and i yell BIRRDDDDDMANNNNN while i do it
 
i got the game today and im loving it so far... although i have to admit im having more trouble than i expected in getting used to the control scheme!
 
Played for a couple of hours yesterday, I managed to learn the Dante combo that everybody is tired of lol. Right now my team is Dante/Morrigan/Doctor Doom, I need to learn to combo with Doom though (I always drop shit when I'm in the air).

His ground combos are tricky, but I usually use the Air H (space beam) into standing H, launcher, Air M, Air M, Photon Array hyper. You catch the opponent in mostly all of the lasers so it does nice damage.
 
Gonna be seeing a few buddies this weekend and playing it... probably all weekend. I've been looking forward to this game, but cash is tight I'm visiting a Pokemon forum, so you can guess where my game budget is being directed at the moment :x

So depressed to hear that Viewtiful Joe kinda sucks, I adore his games and was excited about him the most (on the Capcom side). I'll probably still use him because I don't intend to play super competitively, but it's still a drag. As for future DLC... I just wanna see Venom. He was my favorite in MvC2. ):
