Media Minecraft Discussion Thread

when smogcraft comes back online, myself and some of the other aussies shall build a city.

Dang it Optimusje! I was thinking about building one of those! Now I'm gonna look like a copycat when the smogcraft server comes...........
 
The only problem is, if you turn off building generation, wouldn't that also kill off strongholds? Kinda need that to explore the new area...not to mention the nice little scattered NPC villages (with people in 1.9 right?).

That and I enjoy mineshafts, assuming the lag won't be as bad as the last server, at least you can kill whatever comes your way at least. Just make sure to keep everything well lit and it won't be a problem.
 
ok i have come to a new love for the things:) and i think that we should have a team chat type thing where the people online the server can speak with steam,skype or something else. oh yea and a sneak peek of my big ranch village for me and whoever else wants to join me

I finally gave into getting a pre release, because I wanted to play the official release, so yeah Im having a blast with all this stuff in pre-5. I might be a bit delayed but I love the villagers, except the fact that some of the have 2x3 floors made of dirt, with some GRASS on it, while I was fixing it for him and replacing dirt with stone bricks, he wandered off and I have never seen him again.
So what Im doing right now is improving a big NPC village, Ive nearly finished the farming sector, and Ive already finished levelling out the paths, and fixed everything in general. In the end I want to give the village a boundary with huge castle walls that look elegant. Ill replace cobble with stone bricks (good idea or not?), and make the town look awesome. Ill see if I can get spc, to spawn some villagers and put them in respective houses

And Im also having fun with the Snow Golems, I incase them in a 3x3x3 glass cube, I break the middle of it and make a snow golem inside, the snow golem then protect me while I work. And I am planning to have security snow golems around outside the castle walls AND get some of the snow golems in minecarts and patrol them around the village

Oh and I hope to incorporate this on our new server too!
 
I can't wait for the release of minecraft, and the release of our server! I have my house all planned out now. A huge tree with walkways leading to different parts of my home, and of course, outdoor patio!

But somehow I'll have to juggle 2 servers with smogcraft and my friends server. Expect me to only be on during weekend hours.
