I have a question, Smogon!
While trying to figure out my SID , I got stuck.
After figuring out my 4th BIN number (which is 0111110101011000)
I try to enter it to the calculator. However, It wont let me enter a number starting with 0, It just moves on to the next number, Making it (111110101011000). When Decing it, My SID turned out to be 32088.
Could anyone pro confirm this is indeed the SID ? Or tell me what am I doing wrong (if even) ?
About the bald guy on route 229, if he turns just once, that will count towards my frame correct?
Yeah, assuming he's an NPC without a set movement pattern, a single turn should advance 1 frame.
Congrats DogBunny!
I'm not sure. He's the guy who gives me nuggets and I don't really stand around to see how he moves, but I'll give it a try.
Oh one more thing; If a Trainer has never fought you, but they don't move, do they still affect the frame?
Method 1 is the one ^^ (I made a funny :P)
im trying to find a seed, but im confused about when the programs ask me for a time. do i pick a time arbitrarily? do i pick the current time? i was under the impression that the whole point of RNG abuse was to find a date/time to change your ds clock to and start the game so that the game's rng would give me my desired results. the "seed to time" function confounds me further, leading me to believe that i'm in a 'chicken or egg?' type of scenario.
any help would be greatly appreciated. i really want to get this down to gear up for gen 5.
I wanted to announce a finding that I made: The bald guy on route 229 in DPPt advances the frame by 5 for one turn. Evidence: I did no turn, no journal flip, and I was aiming for a frame of 5 in which the guy landed right on it. Also, no other trainers were moving.
Actually you can RNG for Lugia before beating E4. Not sure why not as many people know about Irwin... You can call Juggler Irwin which works exactly the same way as Professor Elm and does not require Kanto/Pokerus. Only the messages you receive are different. The way I remember how Irwin calls correspond to Elm calls (that somebody else suggested) is:I'm kinda new to RNGing, but i'm a quick learner when it comes to things like these, and i have read up on heaps and heaps of things related to the basics of RNGing.
Before I go any further, is it possible to RNG Lugia for perfect IV/shiny b4 going to Kanto? my guess is no because i'm stuck there till i defeat it/catch it, and for me to calibrate i need elms calls (Kanto/PKRS/& Evolution) right? obviously i cant get kanto till i get to kanto..
This brings me to my final question for now, am i able to kill lugia at the first encounter so i can get to kanto, then after the elite four when lugia re-appears, will the nature/IVs be different to the first encounter? or will they be preset from the first encounter when i killed it?
thanks in advance :)
i need help. so im rng'ing in HGSS for suicune and i verified my seed when i hit my target time (obviously) and then what do i do next on the rng window? im not sure if i should ask this question here but if anyone could just tell me the next step after verifying my seed in the game, that would be awesome :)
