Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

I know this might sound a bit crazy, but would it be possible to get the Daytime Encounter Slot Pidgey (from Platinum) with a time of 19:00?

:EDIT:

Got help.

I have a question, Smogon!
While trying to figure out my SID , I got stuck.
After figuring out my 4th BIN number (which is 0111110101011000)
I try to enter it to the calculator. However, It wont let me enter a number starting with 0, It just moves on to the next number, Making it (111110101011000). When Decing it, My SID turned out to be 32088.
Could anyone pro confirm this is indeed the SID ? Or tell me what am I doing wrong (if even) ?

Hum... Maybe it's because the SID is usually written in hexadecimals?

THANK ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR HELP! i made it caps so it looks like i'm yelling thanks. I've been constantly reading these things, and it successfully helped me hatch shinys but i still had to reset for IVs! not anymore because of all your guys research I appreciate it! I can do shinys and IVs now. this is my first guy after about 45 mins of attempts and hitting delays I got his Stats directly from time finder (with the help of pikatimer)

I got this little guy Shiny Spoink with 31/15/31/31/31/31 timid yay!! Delay 624 Frame 5

I'm not sure. He's the guy who gives me nuggets and I don't really stand around to see how he moves, but I'll give it a try.

Haha oh I figured you were in that area near him...yeah just watch his movements. If there are none or they are in a set pattern, it won't advance your frame. If they're random movements, then a single turn will advance one frame. NPC movements can be hard to gauge though, because sometimes they will advance the frame twice without moving at all, and sometimes they turn and walk forward at the same time, causing different advancement.

Might as well throw it out here so that people can search for it when they want to figure out 5th Gen RNG.

It is possible to get out of the castle to prepare to capture Zekrom/Reshiram. There is this Plasma Grunt that offers to teleport you to the outside and another to teleport you in. And also, you can save after the cutscene to save loads of time.

Oh one more thing; If a Trainer has never fought you, but they don't move, do they still affect the frame?

The only thing that affects the frames is the movement. Doesn't matter if you battled it or not, it moves = it advances frames.

RNG Lugia Soul Silver lv 45

I'm kinda new to RNGing, but i'm a quick learner when it comes to things like these, and i have read up on heaps and heaps of things related to the basics of RNGing.
Before I go any further, is it possible to RNG Lugia for perfect IV/shiny b4 going to Kanto? my guess is no because i'm stuck there till i defeat it/catch it, and for me to calibrate i need elms calls (Kanto/PKRS/& Evolution) right? obviously i cant get kanto till i get to kanto..

This brings me to my final question for now, am i able to kill lugia at the first encounter so i can get to kanto, then after the elite four when lugia re-appears, will the nature/IVs be different to the first encounter? or will they be preset from the first encounter when i killed it?

thanks in advance :)

You "can" abuse Lugia before the Elite Four and Kanto iirc, but you can't verify your frames with Elm Calls, so it's unadvised and much harder to do. All in all, don't do it.

Lugia's IVs are not predetermined/set, so each time you reset the game and your delay/frame change, its IVs change. So kill it and it will respawn post elite four battle.

Keep in mind that to get a GOOD shiny spread, you need to have the necessary ID/SID combo (something that people RNG for). That said, you'll have to most likely settle for flawless IVs nonshiny unless you're just lucky.

EDIT: Beaten again, haha.

I wanted to announce a finding that I made: The bald guy on route 229 in DPPt advances the frame by 5 for one turn. Evidence: I did no turn, no journal flip, and I was aiming for a frame of 5 in which the guy landed right on it. Also, no other trainers were moving.

im trying to find a seed, but im confused about when the programs ask me for a time. do i pick a time arbitrarily? do i pick the current time? i was under the impression that the whole point of RNG abuse was to find a date/time to change your ds clock to and start the game so that the game's rng would give me my desired results. the "seed to time" function confounds me further, leading me to believe that i'm in a 'chicken or egg?' type of scenario.

any help would be greatly appreciated. i really want to get this down to gear up for gen 5.

First you use a program like Wichu's to find a SEED that will give you the IV's you want on your poke. Once you have selected a seed, take note of which frame on that seed your pike will appear on.

Next you use the SEED to TIME program to determine which times you can start up your ds to land on your seed. You do in fact arbitrarily select a time from the list that seed to time gave you.

JRT, are there other NPCs on that route? If there are, they can advance the frame without making any movements.

Actually you can RNG for Lugia before beating E4. Not sure why not as many people know about Irwin... You can call Juggler Irwin which works exactly the same way as Professor Elm and does not require Kanto/Pokerus. Only the messages you receive are different. The way I remember how Irwin calls correspond to Elm calls (that somebody else suggested) is:

Message with the word Pokemon in it -> Pokerus (P)
Message about calling you -> Kanto (K)
Message about Escapades -> Evolve (E).

Calling Irwin advances frame by 1 just like Elm also. It's not as convenient since RNG Reporter is designed for Elm, but it still works fine. I RNG'd for Raikou before it started roaming that way. Irwin just doesn't work when you're in the middle of doing the Team Rocket stuff, but since you're encountering Lugia, that's over with already so Irwin works.

I need someone to do me a favour,
I already cought a non-chained shiny but I need someone to find my SID. So if someone could do that for me, I would really really appriciate it!

i need help. so im rng'ing in HGSS for suicune and i verified my seed when i hit my target time (obviously) and then what do i do next on the rng window? im not sure if i should ask this question here but if anyone could just tell me the next step after verifying my seed in the game, that would be awesome :)

Where is a good location to RNG capture wild pokemon with Jolly, Calm, Careful, and Impish natures? This is in Pokemon Pearl btw.

Once you've verified you hit your seed, all you need to do is advance the frame of the game to the frame right before your target via phone calls or the radio. If you use Elm calls you can follow the responses all the way down the list of frames until you reach the one right before your target. Then you press A to encounter Suicune, and it should have the spread of the next frame in the list, your target.
