yeah that's about the only way to get it to move over the move tutor moves and have it get the new ability
The PID will determine if Cute Charm will change to Magic Guard
The PID will determine if Cute Charm will change to Magic Guard
I'm pretty sure it will have the same ability every time, no matter how many times you clone it.I actually have a variance on this question. Since the reason I am asking is that I would like to teach Double-Edge to a Clefable and you can only do that once per game. Can I clone the hatched egg, Pal-Park it, evolve it, and then if it gets Magic Guard teach the original Clefairy Double-Edge in Gen 3, then Pal-Park that one because the Clefairy has a set PID, or is the Ability in 3rd Gen not linked to the PID?
Is the new ability based on some hidden number like the PID, or is it just random? If it happens to be random could you just clone it in the 3rd gen game and send over several copies and take the one that turns out right?

oops^Answered! XD
Also, is there an Emerald RNG guide like this awesome 4th gen one?
After doing the Happyness Checker Taps, it says to do the Coin Flip Taps 6 Times does it matter what it lands on? And then after the Coin Flip i go and Put my pokes in the daycare for a shiny egg correct?
At the bottom of the RNG reporter it says Coin Flip for Seed H-T-H-T-H-T-H-T-H-T do you have to do them when breeding a shiny egg?
RNG Reporter has a lot of features. This one, is not covered in the shiny egg hatching because it is not needed for shiny egg hatching. Please READ the directions. They literally have *everything* you need to do. If the guide does not say to do it, then you do NOT have to do it.
Ok?
I would have to...45573 12:39.55 30 31 A A 30 B Mixed HP Bug 70
With Emerald RNG, you don't have to hit a seed, but the frame just advances at about 60 frames per second, so to hit this spread...I would have to...
1)SR with the proper egg in front of the daycare man and immidiately hit my timer
2)advance to the line where he says "Take good care of it,"
3)hang out right there until exactly 12:39.55
4)Immidiately mash A and collect and verify/see how far off I was and adjust
Is this "basically" right?
Thank you all so much for your consideration. :)
You need to start the timer when you start the SR (not when you press "continue"). If that's what you meant, then that's all good. Even if you don't hit your time as exactly as you imply on the first try, it still makes sense to check your frame and adjust anyway.
Also, you might want to use 15117 31/B/A/21/31/A for your Snorlax if you don't care about its SpA (+1 HP and SpD and less wait), and 34417 30/A/31/B/A/0 for your Wailord (+1 SpD and less wait).
Exelent! :D
And I really appreciate the easier spreads! Where did you find them? I just found some easy ones in the ones listed in that link.
Oh, and how many seconds is that 2nd one you listed? the 34417 one?
RNG Reporter has an Emerald Breeding mode. Just make sure you leave the seed blank when you want to work with Emerald.
The 34417 one has a wait time of approximately 9:33.61.
yes, sorry but i have read the directions twice and did it twice and neither times was my egg shiny, so i just figured i either skipped something or counted wrong each time
Sokay -- make sure you are following all of the steps exactly, especially with regards to how many pokemon are in your party, when you switch to what application etc. Also check your parents. Are they international? If so, did you select that option?
If international, an incorrect SID/ID entry also causes you to get a different nature than expected.
All of that sounds correct.
If those are not international parents it really sounds like you are not doing the flips and jumps incorrectly.
You could always uncheck shiny only and then collect/hatch about 5 eggs to match the sequence of natures, though, and find out for sure what happened.
