Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

RNG Reporter has the correct frames. Make sure you are generating under the correct method for the poke you want also. I'd highly recommend using emloop to hit a higher delay for much lower frames/flips, but it takes a while to learn.

Thanks, I know how to use emloop for Emerald abuse, but I haven't heard it can also be used for D/P/Pt. Is it used in a similar fashion? I mean you put the frame into the emloop, which then converts it into time and so on?

Yeah I would think it is mostly the same thing. I don't know too much about the emerald RNG, but I would suggest reading Syberia's and/or Sephirona's posts in the first page of this thread. To get that spread with lower frames, simply search wichu's program by using higher delays. I usually search 595-3000. Then you can use emloop to hit that higher delay without too much difficulty.

So doing things this way, it really doesn't matter what pokemon center you're at right?

From the directions:

"Keep in mind that odd spreads are going to be much easier to hit. The directions that follow require the Journal to pop up on game start and have you immediately collecting your gift after the Journal is canceled. This is done because the NPCs that wander inside of the PokéMart advance the RNG. Some PokéMarts have two wandering NPCs, making the task more difficult. PokéMarts in Sangem Town, Jubilife City, Floaroma Town, Hearthome City, Pastoria City, Sunyshore City, the Fight Area, and the Survival Area have only a single wandering NPC and are recommended for use in receiving Wondercards."

Thanks again, I'll definetely try it.

I have another question, does talking to NPC in such a way that makes it turn into a different direction still advances the RNG by 1?

Yes I read that, but it still doesn't matter if I'm going to talk to the delivery man right away after I do my flips. People in the pokemart can't move as long as I hit A right away.

But only if the first page has a "Caught" or "Defeated" entry on it.

The wandering NPCs advance the RNG by one frame every turn, step, or "do nothing" event.

So I'm guessing what you mean by the "do nothing" event is if the wandering NPC's are standing still they will still advance the RNG even if I already battled them to stop them from wandering?

No, the ones who you've battled do not advance the RNG at all. The "do nothing" refers to ones who you cannot battle...sometimes the frame is advanced even though the NPC neither turns nor takes any steps.

Is the documentation for how method J and method K work? I'm in the middle of translating Wichu's program (which is going very well, by the way) and I would like to add those options into the system. Thanks!

I need some clarification please, I want to RNG abuse some of the event pokemon that I got from the official wifi releases (as detailed on pokemonplatinum.com). I'm hoping to get perfect IVs and make them shiney.

I have the mystery event for Darkrai already stored on my game cart, I just have to accept it from the guy at the PokeMart. It's a Member Card Event.

I'd like to accept the event and then go back to my Mystery Gift menu and download the Shaymin event (which ends Nov 8th). This event gives me Oak's Letter.

What I need to know is if these events can both be RNGed or not, I believe distributables have set IVs and are set to be (or not be) shiney already. Clarification, please?

Oh, and while I'm asking- is it known whether Arceus will be RNG-able or not yet, as I would like to do the same for him/her/it?

Any Wondercard poke is RNGable. I've done many.

Also, you ought to be able to download the Shaymin WC without having to pick up your Darkrai (if it's the one I'm thinking of, you just get your Member's Card anyway, not Darkrai himself). You can have like 3 WCs on one cartridge.

In the first post of this thread for method J and in the research thread (linked in my sig) for method K.

oke ppl im trying to rng hatch abuse i already have the shiny ability and all of that. what i dont have is that i cant get the frame right! My target frame is 12 and i imput the time of what it asked me in my ds which is 16:06:14 (i actually put 16:15:00 which is 1 less of a minute and all the seconds then i calibrate it to my pc one) then when it turns to the next minute in my phone i press oke in the pc and the ds then turn off the ds and go in normally then when the time goes 16:06:00 I SR and tap like crazy and get my 14 seconds right at the moment (now my actual frame is 8 and minus my target frame is 12 and divided by 2 = to 2) so now the journal popouts and the captured/defeated pokemon is the first page that popouts so I then flip twice from the page before the captured/defeated pokemon and press start so the journal would exit and tap before the NPC move collect my egg and do the coin flips and compare it to the adjacent list in my time finder.

My question is am i doing this right?
I did the flips and all and not one coin flip matches the adjacent list.. why is this?
I tried 2 flips, 5 flips and i tried 1 flip and nothing not even one match in the adjacent list... why is this?
One more thing does the method matter ? what i mean is i put DPPT Breeding and then choose time seed finder does it matter?

So the difference between method J and method K is that method J uses the high bit as the synch trigger, and method K uses the low bit?

And the math for determining the nature is different. Both methods are explained in their respective locations.

Member's Card and Oak's Letter allow you to encounter the event Pokémon in the wild, so they're treated as any other legendary Pokémon (variable IVs, nature, shininess). Therefore, they are abusable for IVs and shininess. However, without the correct trainer ID/secret ID combo, you can't get both shiny and perfect IVs. You'll have to settle for one or the other; you'll still be able to get pretty good IVs if you decide to go for a shiny one, depending on your trainer ID combo. For example, I couldn't get a flawless shiny Darkrai, so I settled for 29/x/29/28/29/31.
The only event announced for Arceus is a straight wondercard distribution. That is not abusable for shininess, but it will be possible to abuse its IVs. If the Azure Flute comes out, then the Arceus from that will be abusable just like any other legendary ;)

Is there something special when abusing fossils(method 1)?
Im trying to abuse one(frames 113),i hit my seed regularly but i keep getting different spreads each time.Or am i messing my frames...

I've never done fossils but maybe it's possible that there's an NPC in the building affecting the frames? I'm sure someone who has done them before could verify that...otherwise you're just messing up your journal flips each time.

How many of you are going to bother RNGing for Arceus, even though he can't be properly EV'd, rather than waiting/hoping for the eventual Azure Flute?

Quick Q. Can I use the Method 1 spreads from that Excell sheet for Method 1 pokes in HG? I assume yes...

Also, I'm a Nazi when it comes to 0spd in TR, but all the "Special" TR spreads have 2s or 3s so you can get good HPs. However, I don't care much about HPs most of the time and just want a flat 0spd. How can I a list of good easy 0spd quiet spreads (or at least the seeds) for a Kyogre?

Oh, and what Methods are the legendaries in HG? Can't seem to find a list...
