I am trying to RNG abuse Riley´s Riolu egg. My target frame is 5. I used a repel, and I saved four steps from Riley. I tried to get my target delay and frame. I did not get the spread that I wanted, but I wanted to calculate its IVs and check the delay. I found the spread from time finder but it´s target frame was 6. Can anybody explain that?

I would really recommend reading over the guide again before continuing with this as you don't seem to understand the basic premise of this whole process. The goal is to manipulate all these factors that go into the RNG to turn up a specific IV spread. It doesn't just "make" good spreads. The IVs will be whatever seed you hit. If you don't hit the target you set, odds are the Pokemon won't be flawless.
I think breeding is easiest. It's what you should start with at least.
Is there a guide anywhere on how to catch flawless legends without having absurd catch dates? I read something about using emloop? I'm doing this for the first time, trying to catch a Heatran, and I am having trouble at the step where you use your seed to get a target time. My seed is af12027f. Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
What is the seed and spread you are targeting?
You should use the coin flip application to verify your seed.. Much quicker than checking the egg's IVs.
To get sensible catch dates, you need to hit long delays. That means you need to time your presses of A, instead of just mashing that. Emlopp is supposed to help you do that, but you could use any timer you like in principle, though it would need a bit of calibration.
For those who were discussing it, catching flawless pokemon is so easy it's not even funny. 10-15 minutes tops once you know what you're doing. I don't even bother doing it anymore because there is really no challenge in it. At least with breeding you have to get egg moves and stuff, and you have to hit a frame in addition to your delay whereas with capturing you're only worried about the delay.

It doesn't matter. Switching to the coin flip app doesn't advance the frame.
However, if you ever get 0 for the taps, you do need to switch to that app, but not interact with it. If you get -1 for the taps, you don't even swith to the app.
The one that runs back and forth constantly doesn't, while the one that steps around occasionally does.
You mean NPC? It doesn't have a constant movement so I would assume that yes, he does effect your frame.
Mercury: Yeah it's international, so you need to put the search at DPPt Egg PID International.
It might just be a miscalculation, or you did something wrong during the process. Remember five Pokemon in party, App 5 when starting the game...Or you might have incidently switched you SID and IV in your box..I do that when alternating between files. =X
The IV's are generated when you talk to the pokemon. In the case of the bird trio, it's when you talk to Prof. Oak.
So if I have Mesprit (and only Mesprit) roaming around Sinnoh and I require an odd number of frame advances (for a completely different Pokémon), I can find it and faint it, so I will no longer have any roaming Pokémon to affect my frames? Also, I can beat the Elite Four again and visit the cave to release Mesprit again later on if I wish, correct?

today I've encountered something strange.
i went to the trophy garden to get me another ditto, as I wanted to breed for a HP and needed some 30 IVs for that. everything went perfectly right until I checked the IVs of the ditto. it had the nature and IVs of one frame above! I cant explain that. the slot encounter was for my frame (56), which was slot 6, correct for current trophy garden pokemon but the nature and IVs differed. the slot encounter for frame 57 wouldnt have got me a ditto.
took another spread and delay to get the same strange result.
the ditto I'm currently using for breeding purpose was caught the same way, although its been a little while and there were no problems at all.
I also didnt miscount the journal flips 27 for frame 56 and 10 flips for frame 22.
2 frames for the pokemon and sweet scent so all should be correct.
never had that happen before so Im a little confused....
if anybody can help me Im glad ^.^

You sure there isn't a roamer that was added since last time?
Also, what was the slot for frame 57? (And the seed, while you're at it?)
slot for frame 55 and 57 is 0, which means a pichu.

But another matter arises, when looking for my Timid spread in Method J, it cannot find it's spread, is there a reason for this, does this mean I can't get it as method J 0_o?
EDIT: I put in a syncher, and the frame appeared, does that mean I have to bring a Pokemon with the ability Synchronise and Timid nature to get the Pokemon generated in method J with a syncher?
