Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

The first ten is to find out the seed. Then you need to do whatever else it says. So if it says 10 coin flips, you need to verify with 10 flips, then do 10 more. And yes, you can do them all together before switching. I do it all the time.

i got the wrong nature and no shiny but i hit my delay, this is the second time this has happened, did i get my SID wrong or did i screw up the taps? also i'm using two different region parents if that makes a difference. Also when they say taps, they mean double tapping the happy screen right?

Okay, see if you can find what frame you DID hit. Make sure that the method is "DPPt Egg PID (International)", and put in the nature and ability (if possible) to narrow down your results. I've found that sometimes when I use the Shiny egg finder that I need to do one less happiness tap than it says to get it to work. Try again and see if that helps some.

why does the frame matter, when i looked at the directions for DPP RNG Manipulation Guide Part 6 - Using the DPPt Shiny Egg Finder it doesn't say anything about the frame or the initial screen of the rng reporter. Also does taps mean double tapping the screen of the happiness checker?

EDIT: changed underlined word

I want to abuse this spread on Emerald for some Countersash stuff:

9141S 2.32.35 31 / A / 0 / X / B / A

The thing is, it is a Split spread.
Nexus helped me a little bit with it but I'm still not quite sure.

So the question is: If I hit this spread, do I have a 50% chance to hit the Split version of this spread, or is there something I'm forgetting right now?

I realy don't understand shit when it comes to Split spreads.

Pretty much, there is no way to control whether you hit it or not it happens or it doesn't you just have to keep going for it its pretty much trial and error just like the article says

something wierd. i caught a wild lvl 50 roselia gentle and rng says my stats are invalid ive checked it twice already all stats are correct whats wrong?
new to RNG sorry ):

you probably need to check the time correctly... i have troble remimbering what time i entered so i check for that by fooling with the min. thing

im still needing to know if you can RNG in sapphire and in fire red versions... is just like emerald?

Not without savestates. The RNG for those two reseeds itself every time you restart the game, meaning the starting frame is different every time. You'd have no way of knowing it and if you do figure it out, the minute you reset the game, it'll be another one.

well i use the RNG reporter now(whole lot better) and im wondering how to RNG on my sapphire to get modest kyogre... is there any way i can?

do i use the same thing on the reporter that is emeralds', for my sapphire?

well it has been mentioned that once a sapphire games battery has died its RNG functions like emeralds, except that it starts at a specific seed not 0 like emerald so you would have to catch a pokemon in sapphire, find its IVs input those into rng reporter and check what seed its on.

If I wanted to breed a magic guard Clefable in Emerald, is there any way I can tell what its ability will be in 4th gen while I abuse for it (I know if its ability 1, it'll be magic guard in my Platinum)? It would be infuriating to find out I RNG'ed a flawless Clefable only for it to have the wrong ability.

Speaking from experience, it's best not to aim for a split spread. When I breed Emerald stuff, I can safely say splits appear far less than 50% of the time. Therefore it's best not to aim for them.

Edit: I'd say they've appeared for me roughly once every six or seven eggs. This is by no means a guide, it's just what I've experienced on my game.

I am breeding for perfect IVs in Platinum, and I have saved, and locked into an egg that I want. Can I go off and do other stuff like trade between games without changing the locked-in egg?

Yes, the egg wont change at all. Its PID is set in stone once the Egg is generated =)
