I had a rather odd experience using the roamers method to check my seed today. I don't know if this is addressed in rommstar's version of the programme, as I was using the Japanese one...
Anyway, I input my seed. I have one roamer out, Entei. According to the programme, for my seed he'd appear on route 30. So I tried to hit my seed, and what do you know, Entei's on route 30. I caught my Pokémon and... no, that's wrong. Turned out I'd missed my seed by 2, and also my frame was off by one. But according to the programme, Entei shoud have been on a different route for that seed...
So, I tried saying I had Raikou and Entei out. Aha! Now, it's showing Entei as being on route 30 for the seed I actually hit; and this also accounts for my additional frame. So, what, the game thinks I have a phantom Raikou running around?
Now I tried again and again got Entei on route 30. And the same thing happened.
And a third time... Entei on route 30... and woah, I've hit my seed. And hit the right frame. So, the phantom Raikou vanished...
Any explanations?
