Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Frame
A listing of frames is the sequence of Pokémon who can be captured or of IVs that may be passed to an egg, given a particular initial seed. A frame number, or target frame, is what you want to land on to get the desired result. There are different methods for targeting a particular frame, depending on what you are doing or where you are in game. For instance, when collecting an egg, the frame will advance based on the amount of time that you spend before taking an egg. When in a quiet cave, the frame does not advance at all on its own, but can be advanced by in-game actions, such as walking or viewing your journal.
I can give you an example if needed. Most questions can be answered on the front page so check there first.

When abusing the RNG for the roamers, when do I step forward and battle Lance? Do I stop advancing the RNG with the radio on the frame I want, then step forward, or is it similar to Method K where you stop advancing it a frame before your target? Any help would be nice

If two are roaming and one is ko
Then it's
Targetframe-(advancement from two roamers)-1 for the wanted roamer

I will assume you input the roamer location before you start to rng and Ill also assume you know how much tour frame advanced.

So let sat you want to rng lati frame 11 and you have raikou and entei roaming and the rng reporter said they advance the frame by 3

then is 11-3-1=7
so I would advance the Frame by 7 and then take a step to fight lance because before you fight lance you will be on frame 10 because the frame advance three and when you fight the lance and then it will advance one for the battle is over and you won

So does this mean that if I want to have my Latios spawned at frame 42 and Raikou and Entei advance the frame by 2.. 42-2-1 = 39? Doesn't monster frame affect this?

That right
Since the other two is roaming lati frame goes to one.
You would do 39 advancement then fight lance.

The only problem you may have is that the roaming method can give you the wrong delay but if you can hit your seconds you reality don't have to worry about it

Now I get it, thanks for that. I decided to kill them all again and just stick to breeding/catching coz I was having such a hard time figuring it out. >.<

How come the emloop timer only starts the first timer but the second timer doesn't show up after the first timer ends?

Why I can't make the pattern of Elm/Irwin calls? I've set the hour and minutes according to my seed on my DS's clock, soft reset at the right time (I've even used a stopwatch just for this), but why the pattern calls doesn't match to those on the RNG Reporter? Anyways, I'm RNGing for Egg IVs on my SoulSilver. My Min frame is 1 (I have no roamers); Max frame is 50; Min delay is 490; Max delay is 499; my seed is F11601FD; I'm using Irwin calls by the way since I want to RNG pre-Elite 4. Can someone help me regarding this?

Thanks!! :)

Quick question, does RNG'ing in the wild bring up the same pokemon? Or just different pokemon with the same IV's?

It depends on the frame you're on when you Sweet Scent, and the encounter slots for that frame. It's all on the first page.

How do you check the encounter slots for a given frame?

Right click the frame, and look for "Calculate Encounter Slots" click that, it'll give you a bunch of numbers, there will be 5 links at the bottom of that window, telling you which game. Go to the game you're looking for, the route you're going to be RNG'ing on, and see what that encounter slot number will be.

K, the frame I am on is using encounter slot 4. How do I use the same frame, but use encounter slot 6 instead of encounter slot 4?

Well, I tried to find it using the "Search Elm Response" from the Adjacent Finder, but I didn't got a result, meaning that the seed I hit is not on the list of seeds on the Seed to Time/Adjacent Finder.

Yes, you probably missed it by more than 20 frames or by seconds.

Do not soft reset, start the game from the DS Menu / DSi Menu whichever you have. Try using a Pikatimer (Pikachu25's) OR Zomg Timer (ToastPlusOne's). I use both which really depends on my mood on which beep I want. :P

Since ZomgTimer may take a bit more practice to get used to, I suggest Pikatimer with these settings.

Calibrated Delay : 480 for a Regular DS or DS Lite. 444 for a DSi / DSi LL / DSi XL
Wanted Delay : The delay that RNG Reporter gives you
Calibrated second : 14
Wanted second : The one you input in RNG Reporter's seconds. If you placed 50 there, use 50 here on Pikatimer too. I strongly suggest 50.

When to load the game from the DS / DSi Menu : When the first timer turns 0.
When to Continue from the Pokemon Menu : When the second timer turns 0.

For breeding in Soul Silver, do not breed for the Egg's IV's yet. I suggest go for shininess because IT IS easier to clarify that you have done your RNG abuse correctly. Instead of going to the Battle Tower (if you do not have AR) to check for IV's, you can just see the Pokemon as Shiny when hatched. If you were to hit your seed, verified Elm / Irwin responses, have placed parents in the Day Care, BEFORE taking the Shiny Egg, save in front of the Day Care Man. Get your egg, if it's shiny, restart WITHOUT saving and go for the Egg's IV's. DO NOT use a frame as low as 1 and as high as 50 for Egg's IV's. Min frame of 4 and a max frame of 9 should be enough.

Why do I use 444 for a DSi?
Because there is a 0.6 seconds delay in loading up your game, unlike a normal DS (Phat / Lite) which just loads up the game without or very unnoticeable delay.

Well, I tried to find it using the "Search Elm Response" from the Adjacent Finder, but I didn't got a result, meaning that the seed I hit is not on the list of seeds on the Seed to Time/Adjacent Finder.
Also make absolutely sure that you're hitting the right set of delays. Remember, each year you can only hit even or odd delays, and it alternates every year. So if you consistently hit even delays, but you need an odd one, either change your year or the easier way (if you have a DS Phat or DS Lite) is to insert a 3rd gen game into the GBA slot (Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRead, or LeafGreen). Good luck!

Too bad for the DSi users (like me), we really don't have an option if our game generates odd (even) delays if the wanted delay is like 502 (501). We just have to choose another even delay which is higher, like 600+ (601+) to have time to scroll down 5 times and scroll back up 5 times or just choose a higher delay which is odd (even).
