Nawww Suns are done for, Dallas will get the last spot in the West. Anyone see that Lakers game last night? Andre Igudalia just burned the Lakers, and tell me why they had a foul to give and they didn't want to foul him?

LeBron got another triple double tonight and they showed the leaderboard for all time triple doubles made and Jason Kidd had 104 while the second next highest was 27. That shit is insane.

Yeah all they need to do is keep winning and maybe hope Dallas loses a few. I did notice that the Mavericks are getting a 4 day rest. No games all weekend or today/tomorrow.

In contrast, Phoenix has 5 games this week O_O They started the week well by defeating Denver, but we'll see if they have enough energy to win against Utah (twice), Portland and Sacramento (should win this last one...).

Just watched Rockets vs Jazz. The Jazz did good, although I thought for a minute they were gonna blow it with all the turnovers.

Yeah I am rooting for Charlotte to make it to the playoffs too. They won't win but it'd be good to see them there.

Edit: Next up for Phoenix is a back to back vs Utah then Portland. Tough couple of games for them. Let's see if they can pull it off.

Suns V Kings will probably be the first time I ever root against my Kings =(

Calling it, Suns vs Kings - both teams will go over 120.

Edit: Close, 126-118. I think we can safely say that the Sun's playoff hopes are dead, unless Dallas loses 8 straight.

I agree, I almost have no hope left of the Suns getting in the playoffs, unless Dallas fucks up real bad somewhere. Losing to the Kings just shows how much of a shadow of their former selves they've become...

I don't know about Dallas not screwing up anymore. We've blown so many games recently. We seem to just not be able to finish against good teams. I am of course referring to the games versus LA and Cleveland.

Orlando center Dwight Howard became the youngest player in NBA history to get 5,000 career rebounds Monday night, when he grabbed his 11th of the game against the Miami Heat.

Howard reached the mark at the age of 23 years, 112 days -- smashing the previous record held by Wilt Chamberlain, who was 25 years, 128 days old when he got his 5,000th rebound.

Wilt achieved 5000 in only like 136 games, where as Dwight took 399, which if u do the math wilt averaged about 26 or something rebounds over that stretch, whereas Dwight was just over 11. Not to take anything away from dwight but im more impressed with Wilts' stats. But dwight still has lots of years left in his career, to prove he should be mentioned along with Wilt Chamberlain.

Comparisons are...

Wilt was 23 years, 65 days old on the day of his very first NBA game...only 57 days younger than Dwight is right now. I'm just sayin'.

In regards to comparison across eras, anyone had a look at Neil Paine's article?
http://www.basketball-reference.com/blog/?p=1423

He basically dissects the 1961-62 season in which Oscar Robertson averaged 30.8 PPG, 12.5 RPG, 11.4 APG, and Wilt averaged 50.4 PPG and 26 RPG.

"In ‘62, the average team took 107.7 shots per game. By comparison, this year the average team takes 80.2 FGA/G.
If we use a regression to estimate turnovers & offensive rebounds, the league pace factor for 1962 was 125.5 possessions/48 minutes, whereas this year it’s 91.7. Oscar’s Royals averaged 124.7 poss/48, while Wilt’s Warriors put up a staggering 129.7 (the highest mark in the league).
On the other hand, the 2009 Cavs are averaging a mere 89.2 poss/48. It turns out that the simplest explanation for the crazy statistical feats of 1961-62 (and the early sixties in general) is just that the league was playing at a much faster tempo in those days, with more possessions affording players more opportunities to amass gaudy counting statistics."

Well trying not to repeat the entire article in this post, but basically if you swapped King Crab and Oscar, Oscar would average 22.0 PPG, 8.9 RPG, & 8.1 APG and Lebron 40.1 PPG, 10.3 RPG, & 10.0 APG.
Again I'm just sayin'.

Nash-25 17 and a win

Kevin Martin-First player to score 50 with only taking 22 shots

I just finished reading this article on which team is best for A.I. after this Detroit fiasco is over. Everybody should read it.

22 shots and 50 points? Damn these threes sure add up.

The Suns season is already essentially over. Hope is fine, but do not waste your emotion on it if you are actually a Suns fan, as you will only come out disappointed! (Go Mavericks yeah!!!)

That is, there are 7 games for Suns to play, and 7-8 left to play for the other teams within striking distance (though only the Mavs are really in distance, 5 in 7 is even worse to make up).

Yeah the Suns are done.

4 good games coming up tomorrow:
Miami at Charlotte
Atlanta at Boston
Houston at Lakers
Cleveland at Orlando

Come on Mavericks, fuck up and burn, you know you want to...

Eh, no point in watching any playoff games this year, likely gonna be a L.A. vs Cavaliers/Celtics final anyways.

So there is no point in watching because the good teams are probably going to win? If you want to make an argument for it not being worth watching, at least go with 'the Cavaliers and Lakers are teams that revolve all around one player' or something sensible!

When will Kobe or Lebron be in the next Dunk Competition.
I Have a feeling Kobe can make it but he's to old, so let's go Lebron.
