I'll probably change some picks to reflect some upsets.

Sorry for the delay in getting the picks and standings up folks, been a bit busy at work and that's where my spreadsheet is, sooo...

Week Nine had some interesting developments. For the first time in the competition, every single participant scored over .500 in their predictions. Unfortunately for people like myself and Echo, this meant that an 8-5 score was actually crappy :(. Stallion remains atop the standings, clinging to a 1 game lead over Somebody. danmantincan and Zangetsu remain at third and fourth, sitting two and three games out of first place, respectively. The top four places all scored 10-3 this week so their placements remained unchanged. Shinryu recovered from last week's slip to within three games of the lead, joining Zangetsu and kd24. Speaking of kd24, WOW! This man posted the best result of the entire season, only suffering a single loss and putting out a whopping 12 wins! The rest of the field did not change much, with all participants posting similar records. One noteworthy event was that Slyguy46 finally snapped his streak of 8-win weeks, improving to 9 wins in week nine. Finally, week nine saw the loss of another participant, as YoshiX failed to post his predictions for the second week in a row and was eaten by rabid squirrels.

With Week Ten beginning on Thursday this time, there's a relatively short layoff and less time to ponder our predicaments. Will Week 10 finally see us break up the monotony? Will Slyguy46 continue to be the only contestant without a .500 or below week? Will BungalowBill learn how to count his wins and losses? Will kd24 maintain his momentum? Will I stop embarassing myself?? Stay tuned!

WEEK TEN MATCHUPS ARE POSTED!

Atlanta vs Baltimore - Ravens aren't that great, but this could go either way.
Indianapolis vs Cincinnati - Indy won't make the same mistakes Pittsburgh did.
Tampa Bay vs Carolina - Though Tampa is overrated, they can still beat Carolina.
Buffalo vs Detroit - Detroit will suffer enough without Stafford that Buffaro can nab its first win.
Jacksonville vs Houston - If Houston doesn't win this...iono...
Miami vs Tennessee - TEN wins, but not because of Randy Moss.
Chicago vs Minnesota - Chicago got out alive last week, but not this time.
Cleveland vs NY Jets - Upset pick. This will ensure that Cleveland shits the bed.
Denver vs Kansas City - Ehhh, Denver is risky but they're coming off a bye *shrug*
Arizona vs Seattle - Hasselbeck uncertain, and it's in Arizona so bleh
NY Giants vs Dallas - I wanted to pick Dallas here for shits and giggles, but...I need at least one free win.
San Fransisco vs St. Louis - Troy Smith :).
Pittsburgh vs New England - They always find a way to beat us :(
Washington vs Philadelphia - Vick won't get hurt this time so Philly wins.

Another 8-5 week, another complete lack of movement. Week 10:

Atlanta vs Baltimore - Tough, may change.
Indianapolis vs Cincinnati
Tampa Bay vs Carolina
Buffalo vs Detroit - They get their first win here if Hill doesn't play.
Jacksonville vs Houston
Miami vs Tennessee - I originally had Miami, but I can't for the life of me pick the team when Pennington has his first game back.
Chicago vs Minnesota
Cleveland vs NY Jets - I want to pick the Browns but don't have the balls.
Denver vs Kansas City
Arizona vs Seattle
NY Giants vs Dallas
San Fransisco vs St. Louis

Chicago vs Minnesota
Cleveland vs NY Jets
Denver vs Kansas City
Arizona vs Seattle
NY Giants vs Dallas
San Fransisco vs St. Louis
Pittsburgh vs New England - tough one to pick but i got faith in the steelers
Washington vs Philadelphia

Ravens at Falcons - The Georgia Dome is one of the best home field advantages in the NFL right now.

Lions at Bills - Poor Lions. Passing up Oher for Pettigrew is coming back to haunt them. This pick will determine on who starts in place for Stafford. If it's Hill, they have a shot. If it's Stanton however, the Lions will have to bear the embarrassment of being the first team the Bills have beaten.

Vikings at Bears - This game is going to be bowling shoe ugly.

Jets at Browns - The Jets are fourth against the run. Shutting down Peyton Hillis is the key to beating the Browns.

Bengals at Colts

Titans
at Dolphins - The Dolphins have yet to win a game at home. I also believe thy should bench Henne. Pennington has won just as many games as the starter in one season after inheriting a 1-15 team than Henne has since he became the starter.

Panthers at Buccaneers - Remember how shocked you were when Clausen fell like a rock in the draft? Now you're starting to realize why. Clausen is so bad that Pike might start instead.

Texans at Jaguars - The Texans can not afford to lose this game. They're the better team than the Jaguars, but their atrocious secondary could cost them.

Chiefs at Broncos - Josh McDaniels has ruined this team.

Cowboys at Giants - After destroying the Seahawks at one of the hardest places to play, the Giants now get to play a home game against a team that has essentially given up?

Seahawks at Cardinals - The Seahawks are horrible on the road.

Rams at 49ers

Patriots at Steelers - I wouldn't completely write off the Patriots. The Steelers' defense does have holes, mostly in their secondary. The Patriots are known to bounce back after having a bad week and have a good history at Heinz Field. Their defense has been spotty, but Bruce Arians is not a very good offensive coordinator.

Eagles at Redskins - The Redskins were a mediocre team before Benchgate, but now they are on verge of an epic collapse after that.

Atlanta vs Baltimore This one could go either way. I literally tossed a coin on this one. It came up tails.
Indianapolis vs Cincinnati This one? Not so much.
Tampa Bay vs Carolina <facepalm>
Buffalo vs Detroit Because they actually have won a game this season.
Jacksonville vs Houston Garrard vs. the (expletive)est D in the league (besides Carolina's)? Sign me up!
Miami vs Tennessee As I type this, I am being held at gunpoint by the Titans' mascot, T-Rac.
Chicago vs Minnesota Only because Adrian Peterson is a Viking.
Cleveland vs NY Jets I don't buy the "new-look" Browns. If they ARE for real, I'll take this one back.
Denver vs Kansas City Thank you Denver! But our princess is in another Cassel...wait, he's injured, isn't he? Crap. Umm...anybody got a good pun for Croyle?
Arizona vs Seattle Bleh.
NY Giants vs Dallas Dallas is worse than (expletive). Enough said.
San Fransisco vs St. Louis Quit screwing with us, Goodell.
Pittsburgh vs New England New England is on the fall. Big Ben FTW.
Washington vs Philadelphia Two words: Mike Vick.

Pittsburgh vs New England
Washington vs Philadelphia

Ok, lets get this started. Though Atlanta is looking good, Baltimore is looking unstoppable right now. Indianapolis can recover against a falling Cincy. Tampa Bay is still a good team, Carolina is still a bad team. While a week ago I would've said that Detroit is a much better team than their record says, without Stafford (again), they can't be as dynamic, and will give Buffalo their first win. I kinda want to pick Jacksonville off the bye, but have my reservations about picking against Houston. Tennessee, with the double threat of Moss and Johnson, is going to destroy a Pennington led Miami. Meanwhile, Chicago continues to prove me right again and again. Keep it up Bears! In the battle of Ryan vs. Mangini (w/ Ryan), I pick ... oh wait, when do I ever pick against my Jets ^_^? KC looks good even with the loss to Oakland. Arizona vs. Seattle is the toughest pick - I almost wanna go with Seattle, but I have to pick Arizona right now. Giants are now my favorite team in the NFC, going against the worst team in the League. St. Louis is looking good, SF is looking bad. Pittsburgh continues to look great, New England is coming off a loss - not a good combo for NE. Finally, Philly continues to soar, with Michael Vick looking like the best QB in the league.

Atlanta vs Baltimore - Both teams are on a roll, but I think the Ravens defense will be the deciding factor here...hopefully
Indianapolis vs Cincinnati - Indy recovers well, and the Bengals have reverted back to joke mode apparently
Tampa Bay vs Carolina - Lol Panthers
Buffalo vs Detroit - Why not for the upset pick? I think this is where Buffalo can get its only win of the year, it has a far more explosive offense and the Lions' defense isn't that super tough. All the Bills have to do is hope their defense can hold off the Lions enough for them to outscore them, which (despite the fact I am a Shaun Hill fan) shouldn't be too hard with Hill at the reins.
Jacksonville vs Houston - Ok, I'm done with picking Houston, plus they have a crap pass defense which should let even a mediocre QB like Garrard have a decent enough day to win
Miami vs Tennessee - I've always liked Pennington, but he is injury prone, and the Titans defense is still pretty tough. Not to mention he hasn't been at the helm since Week 3 of last year
Chicago vs Minnesota - I can see them edging them out again, mainly because the Vikings are on the verge of being in shambles, whereas the Bears are a step above in desperation mode. It largely depends I guess on which Favre decides to show up; Mr. Miracle or Mr. "I should have retired"
Cleveland vs NY Jets - If Browns win here, they deserve an automatic spot in the playoffs. The scary part is they probably can win if the Jets' offense doesn't get going...that being said though, the Browns defense is a joke compared to what the Jets bring, and McCoy will be pressed to have any decent passes against the league's best CB duo in Revis and Cromartie
Denver vs Kansas City - Even the Chiefs aren't in as bad of a position as the Broncos are
Arizona vs Seattle - Lol Cardinals...this largely depends on them getting Hasselback back...if not, this'll be an ugly game for both sides, but Lynch is a far better runner than Wells/Hightower in theory and should be able to compensate for Whitehurst if he starts
NY Giants vs Dallas - Fuck Cowboys, say hi to 1-15 for me
San Fransisco vs St. Louis - Hopefully with a full week of practicing with the starters, T. Smith will be able to lead the Niners back into winning the NFC West...if they lose though, then it'll be a really nasty push for them to win at 9-7. These conference games are now what matter the most with regards to winning, as any tie at 9-7 with an inferior conference record will get them the boot
Pittsburgh vs New England - I think Steelers on paper are much more solid, though the Patriots have to be feeling embarrassed about getting their asses handed to them by the Browns
Washington vs Philadelphia - I'm thinking Vick will be able to win here, last game was a close one but Philly is more sound and doesn't bench their starters for crap backups like Grossman during a 2 minute drill of a winnable game >.>

Overall great, just what I need another rather icky week >.>

shit I forgot the thursday games started today. I pick Blatamore though I hope its not too late. Its like 10:00 left in the first quarter and no one has scored yet so yeah. I'll get to the rest after school
