This is only what i can remember:Sorry for being naive, but what are the general rules for this? Not that I can attend, but I have been trying to figure this out.
this has been posted several times here, as well on the showdown website here:Sorry for being naive, but what are the general rules for this? Not that I can attend, but I have been trying to figure this out.
Im guessing heatproof.
@Ultimatedra, didnt the final contestants get a brand new DS as well?
The backpack is a neat idea! I'm also thinking the finalists could get like, a nifty baseball cap/visor. Maybe even like Ash's!!
Heh. :P
Maybe the VGS could get a more streamlined logo too?
Don't forget those German TCG packs that random lady gave us, lol. I managed to pull a "smogon" in my pack, which Zerowing was very jealous of.Yeah, the logo changes each year with location for Worlds, so possibly the same thing will happen with Showdown.
Yes, when I went as a contestant for Showdown I got a hat, a shirt, a DS backpack thing, a beach towel, a notebook with one page of foreign trading cards inside(each one was a different language), and a wristband or something that I had already gotten at LA qualifier. If they did add a backpack, I would wear it to class all the time. :P
i hope i pull something i can brag about on smogon as well.Don't forget those German TCG packs that random lady gave us, lol. I managed to pull a "smogon" in my pack, which Zerowing was very jealous of.
Well, the thing is that since that exact concept (or Smeargle + Dark Void with Sash) is so feared, many people will run Lum and Chesto on their starters (or at the least one of them) just to ensure that the above scenario doesn't happen, lol.So...the idea of a scarf-Smeargle + Dark Void lead is frowned upon? I just want to ask; why?
I would think that Smeargle could put the other side to sleep (essentially removing half their team unless they have a Chesto/Lum berry) while a Simple Bibarel DTs up to +2. If they switch, that's up to +4. Give it Brightpowder for reassurance. Get to +6 evasion and then start to Curse. Finish the set with Return/Waterfall and you're golden. Have a Hippowdon to stop rain if the opponent wants to try a no-miss Thunder.
Perhaps this is all just theory (I don't play doubles sadly =X) and would be shot down in no time flat.
