Taken out cause too long

I agree with you on many of your points. However, I would like to see a location in Canada, maybe in Toronto, Calgary, Montreal or Vancouver (Biggest cities in Canada) I personally would love a tourney there, as I live in Vancouver, and even then, having some tournament in the upper parts of USA (Seattle, Detroit, Buffalo) would be totally fine with Canadians because most of us live down south of Canada and would be a 1-2 hour drive to America.

Real Pokemon trainers don't sit and throw their Pokeballs. They stand tall and toss them out with all their might!

Joke for all the top 16 players heh.
Lmfao yea, that one was my doing. xD I pointed at my foot after that and said "Guess I'm not a real Trainer" and he got a sad look on his face and looked away. :(

@general...: This is turning into a whine topic, atm. Anybody feel like posting a big ass picture of cheese? *looks at the french* :D

Aren't the French more known for getting their asses handed to them in every single important battle known to history? In around couple of hours?

Well if "you're not supposed to hack," then level 100 with no auto-leveling would be just a bit unreasonable.

Unreasonable? Really? These tournaments require dedication, and the amount of time spent leveling a Pokemon to level 100 is nothing compared to that of creating an idea for a team, breeding the Pokemon, and EV training them. Laziness is not an excuse when considerable prizes are involved. Again, I'm just trying to even the playing field as much as possible.

Dude, are you going to be an english major or something because every single post I've caught of yours has been extreeeeeemely well written?

No, I'm not planning to be an English major, but perhaps you should read Jumpman16's posts. He actually was an English major (IIRC), and attended a far better university than I could hope to get into. You should never dismiss posts as "wrong" or "right" when a debate is being held. A debate is a forum in which two or more parties present their opinion, and explain the reasoning behind said opinion. Both FiveKRunner and Jumpman do this very well, and bring very respectable opinions to the table regarding this discussion.

Eh, usually they just surrender when the going gets tough. :/

Other than the Elite Four, which in my memory, goes up to around lvl 85 in Plat (?), is there another way one can level to one hundred? Seems kind of difficult.

There's always forming a Pickup team and the attempt at garnering as much Rare Candies as you can. Even then, that'll take a good amount of weeks and months to get a large chunk of candy...

No, but to be honest if you trade your pokemon to Platinum or have a Lucky Egg, it does not take very long to train a pokemon to level 100 in Platinum. It didn't even take me very long to train a few ubers (whom grow at the slowest rate of all pokemon) to level 100 in Emerald when I made a mock JAA team.

I tried this with 6 L 91 Pachirisus all with Pickup. Even at 60% pickup rate it takes forever that way. Sometimes you'll get 3 rare candys in a row. Sometimes you'll get crap.

Daycare, and walking in the Fuego Iron works all night only took like 3 days to get 2 of them up to 91, and I didn't have to do anything. That could be an option.

And then you will just have people who justify Emerald's cloning glitch for Rare Candies for use either on Emerald or in DPPT via Pal Park.

a bunch of stuff about rby i already know

Did you forget that Chansey was allowed to use Minimize in Official Nintendo tournaments? Or did you just forget that my actual point is: "There were many 50-turn battles in RBY, they weren't short by any stretch." The point and the only point is that tournament battles weren't much shorter in RBY than they can be now, but the people who loved pokemon back then didn't care so there's no reason to believe that 6v6 battles would actually be a dealbreaker in competitive tourneys. Assuming most of the players are actually capable of pulling off stall, let alone willing, since fast offense in DP is incredibly viable, especially with Latios, Latias and Garchomp in play.

The fundamental difference between PBS/NetBattle/Shoddy and real life tournaments is that the former require no other investment on the part of the player except for time, while the latter requires time, money, transportation, and on the part of the younger players, parental involvement. If they started holding large-scale 6v6 tournaments and budgeted, say, an hour for each battle, it would easily last 2 or more days. That's twice the money for a hotel stay, twice the time off work (either for the participant or their parents), and twice the shittiness of it all if you didn't get in, because you'd be out the money for the hotel and other expenses anyways.
Again, I referenced ET and TeeJay for a reason, as they are old school battlers who played live tournaments in 2000. I agree with the rest of what you're saying though because it's common sense, which is why things like fixing the entries and considering 3v3 or 6v6 with Dodrio Mode are of greater importance.

I realize that. Please notice I simply stated that it weakens stall teams somewhat, not that it was anyone's goal to do so by implementing said bans.
It was really not worth mentioning because Nintendo holds 2v2 tourneys where stall is impossible, not 6v6 tourneys with those legendaries are banned. That is theorymon. Please stay on topic if you are going to respond to my thoughts about the tourneys.

HUGE thanks to mysteryman for having recorded video of the finals matches. I've uploaded the first one here, the second one will be posted tomorrow morning.

lol, in the begining you can see huy to the left, and at the end too, thanks for the upload omegadonut! P.S. that was a really good match, i thought IPL had you for a bit.

NP at all Omega! Look forward to that warstory. Batpig told me he had to face you in top 4 (I think). That should be epic.

Great video, thanks for putting up.

It turns out I won't be in San Diego in time for Worlds this year after all as different change in personal plans came up instead.

If Zerowing reads this or if anyone has contacted Zerowing and he is fine with his team being released i am very interested to know what his team was.

Curious as to why you are interested in my team.

Just because I have always been a huge fan of your teams and strategies.
Expert belt slowking and choice scarf abomasnow are some of the best strategies i have ever seen.

I'll say this much: His initial team of 4 was beastly. Caught me off-guard, too, and not many teams have been able to do that.

Awesome battles IPL/OmegaDonut. The first one was especially close. I'd be interested in seeing more videos from St. Louis, but I dunno if anyone has any.

Ha! I've somehow got the 3rd battle between me and IPL XD

It's the one where my weak Aero takes an explosion to the face and somehow lives. 0_0 And IPL was like "Oh, congratulations on living" XD I don't know why, but that's just so funny to hear!
