It was actually "super effective" and then "critical hit". And it didn't show the "Tsutarja fainted" message.

EDIT -- Jesus Christ you have 91 posts only on this thread, that's more than even Lucalibur (41), how the hell did you manage to do that

That seems odd considering it usually goes critical hit then SE, iirc. Also, he got all those posts partly due to double posting.

Yay, new Pokemon tomorrow. Hopefully they're not going to just reveal the Luvdisc evo or another Pokemon that we've already seen.

Yeah, I should really start editing, sorry guys :/
And I REALLY hope they just don't confirm it as a Luvdisc evo or something like that, I want more info and more pokemon!
EDIT: I DO NOT want those rumors to be true.. I mean, last evo base stats were a let down to me, and Grass/Ground? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Plus, it only has a base stat of 75 in Sp. Atk and 80 in Atk, sigh... well, at least ire pig and water snowman got their typings...

I don't like the latest rumors. I guess Grass/Ground makes sense but it's not only a repeat but totally unexpected. The stats are odd, too, though I guess if it got the support moves so typical of Grass types then it could be a good tank.

Mijumaru's stats are alright, nothing to write home about though. Seems to me like a Water/Fighting Swampert, with much lower defense in exchange for a specially defensive focus.

Pokabu's final evo is not cool. Fire/Ground > Fire/Dark, which would have allow it to at least come in and fire off CB Earthquakes and such, but I'm not sure that it'll be able to do this if it is indeed Fire/Dark. If these are true, Gen III starters remain my favorite.

Speaking of rumors, I was just thinking about the new natures rumor posted a while back. Though some people might disagree, I think that HP natures would be a genuinely welcome addition. Think about it, a 10% boost to overall defensiveness is exactly what we need. Gen IV gave offense cool new toys in the form of Expert Belt, Choice Specs, Life Orb, and, most importantly, Stealth Rock. Defense got nothing in return except the typical leftovers. Buffing both defenses would help against most attackers, especially mixed sweepers. For example:

240+ MixMence Draco Meteor vs. 252/0 Neutral Swampert: 69.31% - 81.93%
240+ MixMence Draco Meteor vs. 252/0 +HP Swampert: 63.06% - 74.55%

The difference is huge - pokemon like MixMence/Ape wouldn't be such an issue with things like +HP Milotic or Suicune.

And of course there are those pokemon that often carry a single attack to bypass certain threats - Fire Blast Flygon for Skarm, Ice Beam Tyranitar, etc. Such a nature would help bring things into more of a balance, IMO.

I really don´t care about Pokabu, but Mijimaru is alright. Tsutaja got the best stats in my opinion, but the HUGE letdown for me was it´s attack and Sp. Atk stats.. oh well, I really hope it gets Swords Dance, then it would whoop as with Leaf Blade, Earthquake, and some other move (hopefully Rock Slide, and predicting it gets Leaf Blade

90 Speed is nothing to write home about, especially with those STABs (flying types will walk all over you), and it is even weaker than Sceptile's attack if it has base 80 speed. If anything, I could see it supporting with moves like Leech Seed or Sleep Powder...let's hope that it actually gets those.

+HP Natures
They'd probably do something like all reduce all stats by 5% to give a 10% boost to HP, or the inverse. Not really sure if want.

As for the legendary to be revealed, I bet it's going to be that V guy that appeared at the movie, and that that thing is going to be the cute 600 BST legendary (or one of them) this time.

That's why I really hope it gets Rock Slide.. and it said it had 90 base stat in speed.. and now I'm confused,a re you seeing Scpetile is better? lol

What are the base stats/types for the starter poke's final evos?
From http://pokejungle.net/
First off, I’ll be up front about this: I don’t believe it. But Snowy actually found it on 2ch and someone else asked for it to be translated ‘n stuff, so I’ll do it. Plus the type combinations are worth sparking some discussion!

Tsutaya (grass) -> Noukazura (grass/ground) ['nouka' farmer + 'kazura' part of a flower name in the Mucuna genus] -> Kazuratori (grass/ground) ['kazura' again + 'tori'] Last Evo’s base stats:

* HP: 90
* Atk: 89
* Def: 105
* SpAtk: 75
* SpDef: 90
* Speed: 90
* Total: 539

Pokabu (fire) -> Tateishishi (fire/dark) ['tate' shield + ino'shishi' boar] -> Mimonoshishi (fire/dark) [no clue + ino'shishi' boar] Last Evo’s base stats:

* HP: 120
* Atk: 110
* Def: 80
* SpAtk: 80
* SpDef: 100
* Speed: 40
* Total: 530

Mijumaru (water) -> Mijutto (water) [no clue] -> Kawamizun (water/fighting) ['kawa' river + 'mizu' water] Last Evo’s base stats:

* HP: 85
* Atk: 100
* Def: 70
* SpAtk: 90
* SpDef: 130
* Speed: 55
* Total: 530

I’m going to assume that Tsutaja’s evo was supposed to have 80 atk, not 89. Otherwise this rumor is complete bs just based on that. Basically end of the rumor said “That’s it bye bye!” lol.

Why are you guys disussing these rumors anyway?

they have 760 BST Legends

i just can see this being real. i wouldnt say this about any other rumor posted before this, but i just cant understand why someone would think that its real.

I guess they have to top Arceus somehow, right? That saying, I'm honestly kinda skeptical here, too. Not believing until a second confirmation.

Meanwhile the HP stats don't really seem to match up with what we can gather from screenshots.

After scouring through trying to find level 50 battle shots of the starts, Pokabu has 126, Tsutarja 112 & Mijumaru 116
Since Neutral natures/0 EVs are generally used, Miju's HP should be lower then Tsutarja if the rumors were true, right?

Also I doubt they'd call one of their pokemon meat shield

Just speculating on how it would be, I mean Tsutaja would be kind of a letdown with 80 Atk, I mean damn jus tthat and 105 defense?

Ahh Mimonoshishi's Base stats are ok i spose. Low speed is terrible and defence could be better.

I love dark types so id really like to see a Fire/dark starter.

Yeah, we already knew about these rumors before Pokejungle did... and they're absolutely absurd. So, can we stop talking about them now please? Even Pokejungle himself says he doesn't believe them.

If there are new +/-HP natures, they would need to be less than 10% to maintain balance, because HP tends to have more influence than either Defense stat - especially since it affects both spectrums of attack. Probably +/-5% HP would be more reasonable. I used to think HP natures would be a good idea, but I'm not as sure now.

I ran calculations when this was originally discussed. A Relaxed Swampert is less defensive (from both spectrums) than a HP boosting-natured Swampert (even if that boost is only 5%). I doubt we'd get it, anyways.

5% seems reasonable enough

I was wondering if that was you, but couldn't remember who ran the calcs (why was the first thread deleted... so much info lost). Actually, your calcs are the reason I don't like the idea anymore. I'd like to see some sort of boost for defensive pokes this gen, but HP+ natures doesn't sound like the right way to go.

One thing I haven't seen discussed here is the music from the videos we've seen. What do you all think of the trainer and wild battle themes? I think they sound quite nice, and also very true to the series. They have that "Pokemon battle" feel to them, if you know what I mean.:naughty:

So what defensive options could they really add?

Someone mentioned items that reduce the damage you take by 20% from a certain type similar to how the plates work. Choice Items that raise a certain defensive stat wouldn't really work because defensive Pokemon like to switch moves but something that works like Muscle Band/Wise Glasses (possibly for both defenses at the same time) could work. I think I did some calculations for an item like that a while ago and found that it would only be better than Leftovers if you want to prevent a 1, 2, or 3HKO.
