Okay, now I've had time to get over the bullshit starters (why Mijumaru, why? I've been waiting for an awesome otter Pokemon for four generations and you go and evolve into a sea lion :C ).
After that travesty, I've gotta say that every other Pokemon makes this look like it's shaping up to be the best generation yet in terms of designs. I mean I honestly like pretty much every single revealed Pokemon other than Miju3 (and the fire pig's typing, of course). Kudos, Gamefreak, kudos.

Is this confirmed?
Not 100% but we haven't seen any sort of confirmation for it actually being related to Luvdisc. At this point, absence of evidence is becoming evidence of absence.

Oh dear god,I'm not sure if you guys have seen Serebii (which you probably have),but Ononokusu is a pure Dragon. There goes my Grass expectation.

I can see everything of what the last evo of Gear would look like EXCEPT the platform.

The Grass/Steel I've been hoping for since third-gen would be more like a steel-plated Tropius, but I'll take what I can get. Just as long as that thing learns at least three of the following, we'll be cool: Leech Seed, Rapid Spin, Spikes, Stealth Rock, Toxic Spikes, Selfdestruct, Explosion, Reflect, Light Screen.
Yeah, that's pretty much Forretress plus Leech Seed and a tradeoff of neutrality to Close Combat/Focus Blast and a resistance to Ice Beam/ U-Turn/X-Scissor/Bug Bite/Bug Buzz/Megahorn for a resistance to Surf/Hydro Pump/Waterfall/Thunderbolt/Stone Edge, but there's nothing wrong with that. Not a thing. Just needs the stats to back it up.
Edit: Having Synthesis on there too would be pretty awesome if good defenses are in place.

So is it true that a Bug Type Pokemon is going to take Arceus's place as last Pokemon of the Pokedex? If it is, that Bug must be REALLY special not to be some godforsaken legendary type like Psychic or Dark or Fire. Plus the fact that it just surpassed the God of all Pokemon. I'm trying to think hard of what this kind of Bug may be...

I'm pretty sure it's confirmed that there are no evolutions of previous gen Pokemon in Gen 5. So yeah, Luvdisc doesn't evolve this Gen. Neither will Skarmory, Heracross, or Tauros *sadface*
I doubt this gen's psuedo legend gets voted for uber unless it gets an ability to help it defend itself(Intimidate/Evasion/Immunity to an Att/etc). Despite it not getting a 4x weakness to Ice. It has the 2nd highest number of weaknesses of all psuedo legends(Tyranitar taking #1). Even if it uses a berry, it still has 3 other weaknesses it has to worry about(unlike Garchomp that would only have to worry about 1, or Salamence that would has to worry about 2).
Well, bugs are special to the creator of Pokemon. He created the idea of Pokemon based off of the bug collecting he did as a child. He put them in his pocket, thus we get Pocket Monsters. There's no telling if that means this will be the end, or if it's just a coincidence the Bug type ended up being last. Technically I would say that Victini is supposed to have that position as the last pokemon, akin to Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Manaphy and Shaymin, but its listing in the dex is before Tsutaja.
So Melkor hates Gear 3 but thinks a third Fire/Fighting in a row is ok?
Victini wouldn't be the last Pokemon, it would 4th to last (aka, first event legend) like Shaymin. They just decided to put it first this time around. Good catch with that whole collecting bugs thing. I actually forgot that's how the idea for Pokemon started.
There will most likely be guides and another people playing who can help walk you through it. You'll probably miss out on majority of the story and some extra fluff though (NPCs, etc etc). Someone will probably have a skeletal walkthrough a day or two after release most likely.
I wish when they did the international pokedex, they didn't just do it based on the regional dexes. I'd like to see Slowking after Slowbro in the Pokedex, Mamoswine after Piloswine, etc. >_> And Arceus as absolute final.
The problem I see with this is that it would be even harder to find Pokemon when they're ordered by Pokedex number. Right now, you atleast know what generation they're from and that narrows it down quite a bit.
Well he hates gear's appearance where fire fighting typing is only really affects competitiveness which doesn't matter in game. Also I don't see where he sad he likes fire fighting typying I could be wrong.

Of course we are. We decide what pokemon are uber based on their flavor. Yes sir, all legendaries are uber cause the game says they're too good!
Not like we test things on a case-by-case basis to try to see if they're too good or not.
I know they're not including old pokemon in the beginning of the game, but I still find it hard to believe Mamanbou isn't a Luvdisc evolution. Maybe you can only catch Mamanbou in the wild and only obtain Luvdisc through breeding?
