Originally I wasn't planning on playing this in Japanese but now with all this weird shit coming about it makes me want to play and see for myself.

Well considering I see a toaster, Fridge, TV(?), and a tractor/camera (seriously...wtf) I have to say that you're right about the kitchen theme. I'm also having a strong feeling your statement about a toilet Pokemon is going to come true within the next few months.

Dex entry:

Toiletmon (w/e) Originated from caverns by nearby septic tanks. Soon they grew to rely on the sludge for nourishment. They began to migrate to toilets through various tanks.

I am horrible at this lol.

I just want a confirmation of tutor moves (if any)

The Rotom theories are very persuasive... I don't think it's too weird either, I mean, it was strange enough that you got the Pokemon out of a television set for crying out loud.

I always thought Rotom seemed unfinished in design. I mean, it looks like it's based on Gamefreak's own Pulseman, and they gave it that eerie legendary music and cool typing, but strangely mediocre stats for a Pokemon they seemed to pay good attention to. Ghost Rotom being the "default" Rotom would be pretty cool. Or do you guys think it will be considered a TV Rotom?

Anyways, who else wants in on the bet that the Old Chateau will now have "subtle" electronic appliances lying in different rooms that will work akin to the Deoxys meteorites in Veilstone City?

They could use the same appliances that already exist in the Chateau (I think most of them do) and from which they could possibly be obtained. If they could make it interesting, like a bit of a sidequest, or with a small story-related bit that the player could figure out, it might be interesting. If it's just "Oh yeah, we added a bunch of random forms, sorry," I'd be disappointed. At least they can address Electric's lack of diverse type duality.

Come to think of it... according to pokedex...

It[Rotom] is known to infiltrate electronic devices and wreak havoc.

So it is quite possible that we will get fridgemon

Yeah, that would be interesting, like having the Eterna Gym leader mention it somehow and having you do something instead of pointlessly telling you that she's scared of it...

Either way, I hadn't really thought about the Electric type thing. Yeah seriously, only paired with Flying, Steel, Water, and Ghost so far?

Ghost isn't paired with much either (poison, electric, dark)...

Maybe triple typing?!

I don't understand how all this information won't be available shortly after September 14th when the Japanese version is released, am I missing something here, cuz I keep hearing people say more info will be known in November...

tbh, I've been wordering this too. Either these will be fifth gen Pokémon, or Game Freak still doesn't know how quickly this kind of info spreads on the internet.

EDIT: Hey, what da ya know. My 108th post.

Wouldn't someone be able to hack the game's code when it comes out on the 13th and confirm what these Pokemon are, or that they're even from this gen?

Does Game Freak still consider Arceus a topic about which more will be revealed in months to come? Officially people outside of Japan are waiting to see Shaymin, right?

They probably realize that a combination of hacking and the Internet will reveal all their secrets within hours of the game arriving on store shelves. The target audience for these teasers are the players that aren't aware of that process.

The thing that hasn't been mentioned but can be totally possible is that they could also be entirely new pokemon native to the Torn World in Platinum.

i guess we will know what they are by Nov 4 they will start revealing more info about them on sept 28 (two year aniv. of D/P release)

They also seem to be stretching this gens pokemon count with new forms.

There may be something to this torn world theory. There have to be pokemon in the torn world, right? They would probably look odd, right?

Does anyone think the Regional Pokédex will change? I mean, you have Giratina, who's not in the current Dex, and when you consider the weather changes, there are obviously going to be more Ice-types or Water-types. Is anyone else thinking along the same lines?

Found on Filb.de :
In dem blauen Kreis wird auch darauf hingewiesen, dass diese Pokémon nicht im normalen Spielverlauf anzutreffen sind.
Which is translated(approx): It also noted in the blue field that these Pokémon will not be obtainable through normal gameplay.

Not all that important...

(EDIT: Is this known already? I didn't see anyone mention it)

EDIT2: Just saw it was noted on Pokébeach, my bad.

It might mean that as ap said, these might be 5th generation, but more likely they are event pokemon OR you have to finish the game to obtain them.

That could work too, but if they were new Pokémon, how would it fit into D/P coding?

Why would they have to fit into D/P coding? Sky Form Shaymin isn't in D/P coding.
Isn't it more likely that these are just alternate forms of one or several pokemon and not new pokemon entirely?
Not being available through normal gameplay doesn't in any way prove that they're 5th gen pokemon. Mew wasn't obtainable in normal gameplay. Nor Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys, Shaymin, Darkrai or Arceus.

That's what I said earlier. I think they're new forms. If it's a different form, all you that happens when playing Wi-Fi against someone with D/P is:
On the D/P game, the new form is not shown, but the original form's sprite is used instead.

Rotom's primary type is Electric. So, if they decide to do a Fridgetom, it's gonna be Ice/Ghost; Toastom would be Fire/Ghost; Toiletom would be Poison/Ghost; and so on.

Now I'm kinda liking this idea.

Actually, Electric will most likely be the type staying, and Ghost will be changing. The dex entry says they are electric appliances that Rotom infiltrates, so when it does, it makes sense that it will possess them and lose its transparency while in that particular form. Ghost will be the normal Rotom's type as a specter that hasn't possessed anything yet.

Also, when a dual type Pokemon changes typing when it evolves or changes form, the first typing on the list never leaves.

Oh. I never payed much attention to that.

Well, it's even better, as this way, we could get a Electric/Ice, Electric/Fire or Electric/Poison pokémon. With Levitate, possibly.

maybe you wont confront Cirus until after the elite four. That would be kind've of cool, you beat the game and feel all good and then you see that Cut scene of Cirus confronting Palkia + Dialga. Then suddenly Giratina appears out of no where and maybe drags him into the torn world.
