Hi everyone,

I was looking for a bit of advice on how to start a fakedex. Is there a guide to scratch spriting anywhere?

Thanks :)

There's one on dragonflycave or whatever that place is. I don't remember the exact link.
Also, if anything BUY A TABLET. It will make scratching so much easier.
And always think of concepts. No matter how ridiculous, they could be useful. Remember 1st gen? Everyone was saying What... The... Fu-... to most pokes, and that's what made them cool. So think of something ridiculous, and sometimes just doodling with the tablet will help.

Meow. (it's a pixel-over)

I'm proud of this as it's my first pixel over, but I know that the shading needs a few tweaks, I'm just not sure where. Those tentacles are a bitch.

Yeah, in the Sugomori art, the beak has the indent which is not shown in any of its sprites. I'm also not a fan of complicated outlines (a think that simple outlines look better), but I'll work on it.

Okay, hopefully someone can help me here.

I usually make my own avatars, like my current breloom one (do you like it?) but now I want to make an animated one.

I have a video clip that I want to convert into an animation. Gif I think, but I'll take whatever smogons parameters will allow. I found a couple of programs, but one kept crashing, and the other added a WATERMARK!!

If I upload/link you to the vid, could one of you please help me out?

The hand thing is perfectly fine. Look on Kyogre. It has a brghter patch there. That was simply replaced with a bright groudon colour. Also, he did say a recolour

I am in the process of writing up a RMT for my first 5th Gen team. I noticed most of my images are just Standard sprites, and I was wondering if any artist wants to work with me to spruce up my images and make my RMT look very presentable. Post here or PM me if you are interested. Thanks!
Usually you can just find standard art on any site. Having artists making your pokemon pictures won't get your team nominated for anything any faster.

Thanks for all the feedback guys ^_^

I did use the eraser trick, but on the original Kyogre sprite has a brighter patch there.

I think the problem is that the black lines are the same colour on both wings which makes it look a little strange. It turned out like that because there were different amounts of shades for the lines on the Pokemon. Any tips for how to deal with that or find an approximate shade?

@khz: Do what I do; colour pick the problem colour on the right arm, click "Edit colours", make it a few shades darker, and then Fill tool the new colour in. Doesn't look good? Just go back and make it lighter/darker. Simple. Hope I helped :>.
