TEAM BACON!!!!
Hi I’ve been lurking on Smogon for half-a-year now and I’ve finally registered and created an RMT. Oh BTW I really want to change my name so no commenting, I need to post a bit before THE MAN lets me change it.
This team has a moderate theme of Uncommon movestes, Hence Blaziken and SpecsMence.
Jirachi
Jirachi @Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spe
Jolly Nature
-Iron Head
-Trick
-Stealth Rock
-U-Turn
Unfortunately I had to replace Blaziken. )-8
The most common suicide leads, Azelf and Aerodactyl, are both cleanly 2HKOed by Iron Head, and with Jirachi's Serene Grace booting Iron Head's flinch rate, this means that 60% of the time these leads won't have the chance to lay down their Stealth Rock.
WashCycle
Rotom-W @Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP / 168 Def / 88 Spd
Timid Nature
-Thunderbolt
-Hydro Pump
-Shadow Ball
-Will-O-wisp
As suggested by Katherine.
Rapid Spinners like Forretress, Starmie, and Donphan can't get pass me. Will-o-wisp serves to lower the amount of damage that physical sweepers can do to you.
Katherine recommended him but I'm not sure if he will work on WI-Fi.
Ruki
Lucario (M) @Life Orb
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk / 6 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
-Close Combat
-Extreemespeed
-Swords Dance
-Crunch
Lucario works great with a Life Orb attached. Extreme speed doesn't gain STAB, but will do more damage to enemies that aren't weak to Steel. Close Combat, on the other hand, provides great Fighting STAB and, with Crunch, should kill a lot of things.
Kimmy
Blissey (F) @Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 148 HP / 108 SpA / 252 Def
Bold Nature
-Thunderbolt
-Ice Beam
-Thunder Wave
-Soft-boiled
The standard set for one of the most overused Pokémon of all time and the bane of any special sweeper. Her Sp. Attack isn't too shabby and can hurt some things with Ice Beam. But her support moves are what makes Blissey really shine. Soft-boiled keeps her alive and Thunder Wave paralyzes tough opponents and make them easier to finish off[/FONT]
Private
Empoleon (M) @Petaya Berry
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 12 HP / 252 SpA / 244 Spe
Modest Nature
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Substitute
-Agility
Empoleon makes a good special wall, support Pokemon, and special attacker all in one. The ability to learn Grass Knot lets it take down enemy Water types like Milotic and Swampert. I needed a PHazer so it knows Roar.
Im going to change to SubPetaya set
I realized that with Blissey I had two Special Walls, so I changed this to a more offensive set.
Barla
Salamence(F) @Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 80 Atk / 252 SpA / 176 Spe
Naive Nature
-Draco Meteor
-Fire Blast
-Earthquake
-Outrage
If people aren't using DDMence, then they are probably using a MixMence. MixMence can be EVed many different ways, but the goal is the same - break as many walls as you can. Draco Meteor is a surprise for physically defensive Pokemon who are expecting a Dragon Dance set. Earthquake is for Steels. Fire Blast hits Skarmory, Forretress, and Celebi. I didn't realize how much better MixMence was than SpecsMence.
