So Darrent Bent goes from being the main man at a team currently 6th and one that will end up comfortably in the top 10,goes and signs for a team that are struggling to get out of the relegation zone, yet then claims its not because of the money.

Spurs are building a ridiculous good team, especially in midfield Modric,Pienaar,VDV,Bale,Lennon and to a lesser extent Krancjar,Huddlestone and Palacios.

Where as Arsenal yet again refuse to stump up any cash for a decent defender then wonder why they can't win a proper title when one of their main defenders is a shit 2nd rate, stick thin French league 2 standard defender

I hear Gary Glitter is looking to take over at Aston Villa after hearing that the two front men are Young and Bent.

Edit: Inverness coach Terry Butcher commenting on the plans to reform the SPL into a 10 team league: 'People are calling it Armageddon but I think it's worse than that.'

Ajax - Feyenoord 2-0

39. 1-0 Toby Alderweireld (long range shot, more than 30 metres).
77. 2-0 Miralem Sulejmani (penalty)

Great game and deserved win. If that stupid strikers Miralem Sulejmani and Siem de Jong wasn't so Ronaldo-like egoistic, always trying to score if he can give an assist, and missing 100 percent chances, it would've been at least 10-0.

4-3-3

True. Barcelona is the most likely team to top the league spot this year.

As much as I hate to admit that, Real Madrid is hugely unpredictable. They win against formidable teams, and draw against lowly teams (Levante, Almeria, and to an extent. Mallorca..). The lack of "the number 9 [striker]" is what RM is holding on its shoulder at the moment. Sure, they have Karim Benzema, but he simply lacks the proper fitness to hold on any game.

Champions League is what Real Madrid needs to aim at right now. Presiding the La Liga charts this season just seems far-fetched for the 9-time CL winners.

The draws against Levante and Mallorca were at the start of the season though, pretty much around the same period where Barca lost at home to Hercules. Almeria was the first draw they've had in a while, and of course the other time they dropped points being the admittedly horrific loss to Barcelona. My point is, while Barcelona look by far the better team (which, as a Real Madrid fan, I hate to admit), Real Madrid are far from "hugely unpredictable". In fact, they've been in fact hugely consistent over the season, it's only that Barcelona have been that much better. You look at the Premier League, the Serie A, and you'll realize that 48 out of a possible 57 points is actually a very good record.

Based on Altaria's info, Suarez does sound like the kind of player Liverpool need to support Fernando Torres... given that Torres stays, Suarez would never play in the central striker role anyway because that's what Torres does best. Liverpool definitely need a lot of stuff before they can become a world-class team again though. They need an out-and-out winger, one that can run down the flanks and get crosses in (someone previously mentioned Downing coming in as a possibility, that would be good for them). They need a creative midfielder because when Gerrard isn't playing they have absolutely NOTHING in terms of midfield play. They need a total defensive revamp, starting with leftback, because Konchesky just isn't good enough. Really, I think the only defenders that should stay are Daniel Agger and Glen Johnson, the latter only if he improves on his defending, I mean sure you can be a top-line attacking fullback, but a defender's primary role is obviously to defend, which he hasn't really been doing very well. Alternatively, Liverpool could move Johnson onto the right wing, which I really think he would do much better, since it seems to be his thing anyway. If Martin Kelly keeps delivering good performances I think he would have a case as well. Carragher has always been good, but he's getting old. Skrtel and Kyrgiakos are just average for me.

I think this might help Liverpool. A total revamp. Expensive, but necessary.

Poulsen, Cole, Babel, NGog etc. are not good enough. Carraher is overrated.

Suárez is great to support a central striker (this season, people complain he doesn't score enough goals, but he provided a lot of assists and has another role than last season, so that's logical). And the striker should support Suárez too.

Down here a Liverpool team with some buyed players.

4-2-3-1

---------------------------Torres---------------------
--Suárez-------------------Kaká----------Dzsudzsák--
-------Gerrard (C)-------------------Mascherano------
--Maxwell------Vertonghen-------Agger------Johnson--
---------------------------Reina----------------------

Bench: Brad Jones, Martin Kelly, Jamie Carragher, Lucas, Raul Mereiles, Niko Kranjcar, Dirk Kuyt, Luis Fabiano.

Free kicks left-footed player: Vertonghen.
Corners left-footed player: Dzsudzsák.
Free kicks right-footed player: Suárez.
Corners right-footed player: Suárez.
Penalties: Suárez.

A 4-2-3-1-system. Backs come foreward, but defending is their main job. One defensive midfielder purely defending, one footballing defensive midfielder. The wingers can come to the middle with ball and action, but should try to stay on the wing when necessary. For example: Suárez gets ball, goes forward and either gives a pass or goes to the middle and shoots with his good right leg. The right winger does the opposite. They go through the middle when useful, otherwise they should stay on the wings.

New players in this team (the first two leaving Ajax would be a nightmare for me).

- Luis Suárez (Ajax), 30.000.000 Euro.
- Jan Vertonghen (Ajax), 20.000.000 Euro.
- Javier Mascherano (Barcelona), 25.000.000 Euro.
- Maxwell (Barcelona), 15.000.000 Euro
- Balazs Dzsudzsák (PSV), 10.000.000 Euro.
- Luis Fabiano (Sevilla), 10.000.000 Euro.
- Niko Kranjcar (Tottenham Hotspur), 10.000.000 Euro.
- Kaká (Real Madrid), 40.000.000 Euro.
------------------------------------------------------------------+
160.000.000 Euro.

This will cost 130.000.000 Euro, but then you have a team of stars and better players on the bench.

Suárez is already explained, great winger, great second striker, but I doubt he's suit for the Premier League. If he fits there, he'll be the big star player of Liverpool. Also someone who you can make team captain when Gerrard doesn't play.

Vertonghen is a centrtal defender and a good left back too. Dribbles into midfield with ball often, almost never makes mistakes, scores a lot of goals with headers out of corners and has a great long distance shot in his left foot, and often scores with awesome free kicks. Did well in the Champions League, and is followed by almost all European topclubs, especially Arsenal is interested.

Mascherano is an ex-Liverpudlian, bench-sitter in Spain, so he might want to come back.

Maxwell is a great left back, did well for Ajax and Internazionale. Good enough for Liverpool.

Dzsudzsák is a Hungarian winger with an awesome left leg, good long distance shot, good passing and he's fast (but not faster than Ninjask). Has 10 goals and 11 assists in a half season in the Netherlands. Did well in the Europa League last two seasons, he is good enough for the European top (I admit he is, even though I hate PSV).

Fabiano wants to leave Sevilla and will be a good substitute for Torres when needed.

Kranjcar wants to leave Tottenham and is good enough for Liverpools bench.

Kaká won't be in the Real starting lineup if Higuain is fit again.

This would be a world class team with a good bench, so Liverpool can win the Premier League.

Altaria, I would imagine that in that formation, right footed corners, right footed free kicks and penalties would still be taken by Gerrard. I hugely doubt that Liverpool would splash out 120,000,000 Euros in the first place, plus not to mention that you included Kaka in your formation but didn't include him when calculating the total expenditure, and I'm thinking he'll be quite expensive. Furthermore, there's the question of whether Brazilian and Dutch internationals (Fabiano and Kuyt) would be content just sitting on bench as subs.

Also, if I recall correctly, Ajax were asking for a price in the region of 20 million Euros, not 30 million for Suarez. I know you're an Ajax fan, but don't you think your valuation of Suarez costing 20 million Euros more than Luis Fabiano a little... much?

OK, I changed my post and include Kaká in the calculation, a good extra attacking midfielder is needed, and Kaká won't be in the Real starting lineup if Higuain is fit again.

Sorry, but Suárez' free kicks are so awesome. And his penalties are too. And his corners too.

Ajax' asking price is not 20 million Euro, that is a lie in the gossip, lies and bullshit newspaper De Telegraaf.

Suárez is worth more than Fabiano, Fabiano is older than Suárez (Suárez turns 24 in two days), has problems with Sevilla so 10 million seems like a good price for Fabiano. Suárez is worth at least 30 million Euro, and Ajax will definitely ask that. And Liverpool hasn't made a bid except dor 15 million Euro+Ryan Babel for Suárez, Ajax rejected that deal.

Kuyt and Fabiano can play in the Carling Cup, FA Cup and easier clubs in the Premier League and EL/CL. And if they earn a crapload of money they want to stay.

But that won't happen, Di Maria plays very well, so no reason to take him out of the lineup.

---------Higuain---------
--Di Maria-Ozil--Ronaldo--

Did very well before the injury of Higuain, so expect this to be the front 4 of Real Madrid for next season and maybe longer.

Kaká is too good for the bench, so he'll probably want to leave if he finds out there is no place for him.

That trade was win-win then, because sunderland are playing fine without him and aston villa finally has a forward who can score consistently.

piquionnes sending off is the most ridiculous sending off i have ever seen. the celebration law needs to be abolished.

I agree with Altaria that Liverpool need to get some new players to improve the current squad, although I disagree with a lot of rather average players. Kaka is a horrible choice really, he just came back from injury and had already lost his good form when he was at AC Milan, not to mention how pricey he will be... There are some kind of players that Liverpool need:
  • Left Back: Paul Konchesky proved to be a failure to be honest, pretty bad defensively and not doing much offensively. Someone that I've always been impressed with is Fabio Coentrao. I've seen him play for Benfica and in the world cup for Portugal and I have to say that it was quite impressive. This guy proved that he is one of the best left back in the world, he likes to get forward a lot and he has that pace that Liverpool desperately needs. He's also still 22, another added bonus.
  • Striker: He wants to leave Ajax, he will come at a very high price, but Liverpool will definitely improve if we do get Luis Suarez. Torres will need that support up-front because Ngog will not cut it most of the time. Suarez has proven how good he actually is at the WCup and with Ajax. Altaria keeps praising him saying he is the best striker in the world, hopefully he is right if we get him. Still 23 as well, I have a feeling this dude will work well.
Of course there are other options, Steven Warnock (Aston Villa) is a pretty good player and he graduated from the Liverpool academy. For a pacey winger, Blackpool's Charlie Adam, Aston Villa's Downing and Ashley Young should be considered too. Good strikers include ummm... idk maybe Carlton Cole or even Diego Forlan if he plans to come back to the PL. For some defensive players, a defensive midfielder like Lassana Diarra (it would be a dream come true) or Shawcross from Stoke to add some physical presence.

Fernando Torres

Suarez
(his favourite position is secondary striker IIRC)

Maxi | Gerrard | Raul Meireles | Kuyt

Coentrao | Agger | Carragher | Johnson

Reina

BENCH: Aurelio / Poulsen / Martin Kelly / Cole / Ngog / Kyrgiakos / Skrtel

this should probably work (i think)

I never said Suárez is the best striker in the world. Sure, I praise him, but don't say I did say things I didn't say. But a great striker/winger. By the way, he's 24 tomorrow. Could be ONE OF THE BEST in the world, and he proved at the World Cup.

Coentrao is a great choice.

Diarra would be good too.

Maxi is not good enough: buy a second striker and put Suárez and Adam (Blackpool) on the wings, Kuyt on the bench.

You have too few new players, Maxi, Carragher and Johnson should be repalced. And the bench is not good enough.

You are right about Kaká.

How about this?

4-2-3-1

-------------------Torres--------------
--Suárez----------Gerrard------Adam--
--------Mascherano-----Mereiles-------
--Maxwell--Vertonghen---Agger--Kelly--
--------------------Reina--------------

Bench: Jones, Johnson, Skrtel, Poulsen, Cole, Jovanovic, Kuyt.

This is less expensive, but still good enough.

Jan Vertonghen>20M>Ajax.
Luis Suárez>30M>Ajax.
Javier Mascherano>20M>Barcelona.
Maxwell>15M>Barcelona.
Charlie Adam>5M>Blackpool.
-------------------+
90 million Euro.

I know Fábio Coentrão played very well last season and had a great World Cup.

But Benfica is now worse than it was last year and Coentrão and David Luiz are two of the main reasons. They are in bad shape this year because they want to be transferred soon so maybe the transfer is what they both need to get better.

I You have too few new players, Maxi, Carragher and Johnson should be repalced. And the bench is not good enough.

Well I doubt the Liverpool owners are going to spend more than 40 million on new transfers. The main issue with Liverpool is the left back and striker positions and the lack of players pace in midfield. Coentroae and Suarez can fill in these gaps and both can play as left wingers iirc. Coentroae likes to go up front as well anyway, so everything should be solved. They should cost between 35 to 40 million total, a bit too much, but well worth it.

I'd like to defend some of the players you are getting rid of. Although Maxi hasn't been great since he came to Anfield, his recent form has improved. Carragher is also a solid and reliable defender, why should we get rid of him? Considering this and his leadership skills, he should stay imo. Johnson is great offensively, people question his defensive skills, but he's still the England #1 RB. He hasn't been doing that well these days, but idkk... Kelly looks like a promising player. I wish we can sell him to Tottenham to finance other transfers.

How about this?

4-2-3-1

-------------------Torres--------------
--Suárez----------Gerrard------Adam--
--------Mascherano-----Mereiles-------
--Maxwell--Vertonghen---Agger--Kelly--
--------------------Reina--------------

Looks good, except for that Vertonghen guy. If he is worth 20 million, it's a waste to get him when Carragher, Skrtel and Kyrgiakos are almost always here. Not to mention that we're not sure if he's gonna be able to settle in, EPL is a lot tougher than the league he's playing in atm. Mascherano fucking traitor, keep warming that barca bench....

Charlie :adam: is an excellent and relatively cheap player, good choice for midfield

Kelly should be kept and he could become a very good defender.

Mascherano should come back, important for Liverpool and on the Barca bench.

Vertonghen proved himself in the CL and EL, and against the Dutch top clubs (PSV and FC Twente, those are better than the mid-table clubs and relegation candidates in England, comparable to clubs around #7 in England). He's worth 20 million, Barca, AC Milan, Arsenal, Juventus and HSV want him. Liverpool is one of his dream clubs.

Johnson is not good enough defensively, that's the most important thing for a DEFENDER. Skrtel and Kyriagos are not good enough, some more quality in the defense is really needed. Carragher is not a very good defender in my opinion, sorry if you disagree, but freedom of speech. Carragher can sit on the bench, be ready to play when there is an injury or suspension, playing an important role in the team, with his experience.

FC Utrecht - Ajax 3-0.

1-0 Duplan
2-0 Duplan
3-0 Vorstemans

Because Maarten Stekelenburg is such a good goalie, Ajax didn't lose with 20-0. One chance for Ajax: Eriksen hit the crossbar with a free kick.

Those money addicted, effortless assholes should work for their money.

AJAX PLAYERS: FUCK YOU, LAZY ASSHOLES! WORK FOR YOUR MONEY! AND START RESPECTING YOUR SUPPORTERS! IF YOU MOTHERFUCKING ASSHOLES STARTED WORKING, YOU WOULD BE CHAMPIONS! FUCK YOU, ALMOST ALL!

Afwul. Nothing else to say.

Jan Vertonghen 7
The only good defender.

Daley Blind 4
Direct opponent of Edouard Duplan, who scored twice, one of the goals was one of his many mistakes.

Emanuelson will go to Milan this month. He'll get money for sitting on the bench, and finally that horribly lazy son of a bitch is gone. Sorry for you, Milan-fans, but Emanuelson sucks.

FINALLY RID OF HIM! I DREAMED OF THIS DAY!

Australia vs Japan Asian Cup Final

Australia demolished Uzbekistan 6-0 whilst Japan played South Korea 2-2, winning 3-0 on penalties. Some history between the two sides with Australia winning 2-1 and drawing 0-0 in World Cup Qualifiers, Japan winning on penalties last Asian Cup and Australia winning 3-1 in 2006 World Cup. Should be a good match and I hope we can win!

Altaria, it is not your language that is a problem; rather, it is your psychotic desire to kill a professional athlete with whom you have no personal affiliation that is concerning and general rage at athletes not being perfect.
