Red Sox now have the lead 6-5 thanks to 2 homers. With a man like Youkilis on the team, that's intimidating enough.
 
It's 6-6 now, at the bottom of the 8th. It's a very tight game imo.

Timlin just pitched for the Sox.

Indians just won, 13-6. Way to blow the game, Gagne.

but yeah last night was just pathetic, gagne sucked but if they hadn't used all their good pitchers so damn early and put like papelbon in at that point no jam, but still try scoring some fucking runs so you dont need gagne

Anyways It'll be interesting to see whether Kevin Youkilis or Todd Helton makes the cover of the Wheaties box after the World Series is over.

I was at game 2 of the Red Sox vs. Angels, the one where Manny hit the walk-off homer. IT WAS SO AWESOME!
 
I predict Red Sox in 5 even after the Rockies got destroyed. I'm sure the Rockies can win at least one game.

I witnessed Game 3 of the World Series. I wish I had sold my tickets for the astronomical price I was offered (Payed $100/ticket for 4, got offered $1000.00 for the set). My poor Rockies. Oh well, what can you do?

edit: I hate that bastard Youkilis. He seems to always manage a base hit.
 
Boston is almost getting to be Yankees-level asshattery, I'm appalled they won.But thank god baseball season is officially over now.
 
Beckett would of sealed Game 4 and won MVP if he had pitched but to be honest I am happy that Lowell got it this time around, as last time he was up for it he got beaten by Beckett anyway

I have been a Rockies fan since their first year, but I can admit that Boston is the better team, and I am still proud of the Rockies for making it as far as they did. To me, the Pennant is fantastic alone.

Congrats Boston, and Great Job Rockies.
 
Sorry to bump a thread if no one else responds but I just had to say - Tigers add Willis and Cabrera?! They are going to be everyone's #1 pick for 2008 (barring Verlander or someone breaking a leg)!

Idk, i still like what the Sox are doing (not that i like them) but for obvious reasons i don't think they will end up as top dogs. Also don't look at my name and me like, pssh brewcrew. Im a dieheart Cards fan. All the people they are trading and shuffling is ridiculus. We need more pitchers, and not to trade our star outfielders away for something other than a pitcher. Hopefully Carpenter comes back strong this year, or i'd say he's done.
 
by Sox do you mean Red Sox or White Sox? (I am a Twins fan so I always have to say mean things about the White Sox!!) The Red Sox obviously have to be considered, but the Tigers look to have the best rotation AND best lineup next year...as a Twins fan, I am very unhappy about our playoff chances now :(

I wonder how long Pujols will be happy as a Cardinal if this keeps up?
 
the jays were pretty close to trading rios for lincecum, that would have put our rotation up there with boston. For the jays to have a chance at competing for a playoff spot, every piece has to fall into place. Last year pretty much everything that could go wrong did, and we still finished above .500. Vernon Wells cannot be that bad two years in a row.

I just cant get a beat on this team, in 2006 they had a top 3 offense in the AL, and in 2007 they had a top 3 pitching staff...all without changing any pieces pretty much. If everyone plays to their full potential, we do have a shot, but how likely is this to happen lol?
