buddy nix resigns from bills GM job, i assume DM is busy celebrating by drinking himself into a stupor

I never had the hatred for Buddy that I had for Chan. Buddy did a good job evaluating low-level talent; he took a bunch of castoffs and undrafted FAs and turned them into an offense that put up points (until injuries/Chan/Fitz ruined everything).

Buddy is old, I wasn't expecting him to be around much longer anyway. Doug Whaley played a large part in this year's draft, and he's set to step into the role full time now. Check this shit out (last year v. this year):

Major overseer: Ralph Wilson --> Russ Brandon
GM: Buddy Nix --> Doug Whaley (I'm supposing here)
Coach: Chan Gailey --> Doug Marrone
OC: Curtis Modkins --> Nathaniel Hackett
DC: Dave Wannstedt --> Mike Pettine
QB: Ryan Fitzpatrick --> EJ Manuel (supposing again)

On paper alone, is there a more improved team than the Bills? Rams maybe? Dolphins?

The only player there is the QB... We never know what kind of an impact non-player changes will have. So i see the Bills as just worse since now they are going to start a rookie QB.

No Romo but EJ Manuel has to be the most attractive QB in the league. That is one handsome dude. If he can play he will be a super star.

replace it with no romo, its way more insulting

and san francisco gets bad news in the same week it gets the super bowl, Mikey Crabtree possibly done for the season wth an Achilles tear.

SUPER BOWL L - SAN FRANCISCO BABY

On the one hand its back in the greatest state. On the other its the 49ers... I hate them so much. So yeah i'm struggling with this. It doesn't help that its in Northern California, which should be its own state. Doesn't feel like California to me when i go up there. Struggling here.

Should have been in LA dammit. Anyway, Patriots-Giants for superbowl 50!!

Northern California is a wonderful place to be! That being said, the Raiders picked up Woodson which is pretty awesome. I'll be content with a 6 win season, rebuilding is a process. I'm happy Hu Jackson's Palmer experiment is done with.

Damn i was completely fooled. Thought it was going to be like where they played and expectations going into next season.

Romo is clearly the leagues most pressured QB at this point. Huge contract, plays for the Boys and just came off of a season where he couldn't get his team to the playoffs... Again. After him i'd go with.... Uh Mark Sanchez i guess? He is playing for his job i guess.

Define awesome in here please. Woodson isn't that good anymore you know... However, you did say six wins was enough. So yeah depending on your standards it could be awesome. But seriously i think Palmer is pretty good. It was just the Raiders offense was so bad. Mostly because McFadden didn't play in stupid mode. Just about the only thing that would compensate for the receivers on the team(the best one was an UDFA rookie). Everyone here will be pleasantly surprised with Palmer this year.

Obligatory link to any big stat dump article from PFF:

THIS TIME WITH QB'S AND THE TYPE OF PRESSURE THEY FACE.

No surprise Matt Ryan's at the bottom when facing pressure from the LT. Baker had yet to turn in a healthy season for four years until last season, and the backups didn't play much better than a hurt Baker to begin with.

Gronk needs another back surgery, which will sideline him until camp at the very least. I hope these injuries, especially the back ones, don't end his career prematurely and leave us all wondering what could have been, because through three seasons already is what could be the greatest TE play ever.

Awesome in the sense that Woodson didn't sign for another team in order for more money or more wins, he came back to the team that first drafted him. He'll also be able to provide some valuable coaching to DJ Hayden (hopefully) and help him make an impact in the passing defense.
As for Palmer, yeah he wasn't terrible, but he didn't perform nearly well enough to be worth the trade. McFadden needs to stop getting hurt, I think the Raiders' plan of building the offense around him is way too risky...

Belichik will make him look better than he is resulting in a massive circlejerk from the media and his fans arguing to no end saying that he is good failing to see it's a system thing.
