I lol'd. Hard. I was at the game, and I must say, Gus Frerotte tried his best to give the game to the Packers, but AP carried the Vikings to victory. All 3 of his interceptions were right to the defender, and he had several other terrible passes. Also, the special teams continued to play like a bunch of chickens running around with their heads cut off. The defense, especially the pass rush, helped the Vikings out a lot, and of course AP went nuts as well. I'm still not confident in their ability to win enough games to make it to the playoffs, though.

I don't know what to think anymore. From 4-0 to 5-4, the Bills - and Trent Edwards in particular - are trying very hard to earn the label of "frauds" in what has quickly become the toughest division on the NFL.

Assholes.

Come on DM; you cannot possibly argue the AFC East over the NFC East or South. The Falcons, Panthers, and Bucaneers and and all the NFC East teams look better than any AFC East team except, crazily enough, the Dolphins.

Hahahhahaaha Madden is still going strong.

"This is a fight. This..This is like a battle." I guess that was one of the 'had to be there' types of situations, but that was the most Madden made me laugh in a while.

Yeah, I didn't really say what I meant. What I was trying to say is that there is no clear favorite in the division anymore, with first and last place seperated by a mere game. It looked early on like Buffalo would run away with it and the Dolphins weren't ready to contend, but all that has been thoroughly disproven.

Yeah. Football hates me this year. >.<

And me. If somehow Nick Collins, who has emerged as one of the top safeties this year, gets hurt for the year, the Packers will be no better than the Broncos' defense!

I got the Cardinals to win tonight BIG!

Warner's been getting his stats while driving down field to win games. He doesn't go around getting stats in garbage time like Brees.

lol I do not get this at all - yesterday during the 49ers-Cardinals game, they said that it was a must win situation for the Cardinals around ten times in the fourth quarter (which was all I watched). They would be 5-4 with the 49ers as their nearest contender at 3-6! That is the exact definition of a game that it is okay to lose. The Cardinals can play with any team due to their ridiculous receiving and are already by far seemingly the only team that can make the playoffs in their division %__%

Agreed! I did not realize that the rest of that divison was 2-7! They just kept on saying that, because every game against a divisional opponent is always a must win.

That game was great, but I'm dissapointed of the performance of Tim Hightower. Huge hype over him this week solidifying the starting job, and he gets 1.7 YPC.

Keep in mind who you're talking about: the ESPN MNF team is easily the most reviled group in the entire NFL.

Why is everyone ignoring how awesome Philip Rivers is doing? =(

Because his team is doing nothing to help him out at 3-6. Usually MVPs are awarded for helping their team WIN, his defense has let him down week in and week out.

That's just because Drew Brees is also on pace to break Dan Marino's passing yard record.

Also keep in mind for Warner that the team he's leading the division with hasn't had a postseason game at home since 1947.

Well, the main reason I can think of why it would be a "must" win is because it would look awfully embarrassing to lose to a team that's 2-6 for starters; even though the Cardinals are all but guaranteed a spot with the horrid playing of every other team in their division, they'd still be the joke "champions amongst losers." Playing in probably one of the weakest divisions certainly isn't winning them brownie points either, and letting the 49ers come as close to winning as they did really does show some flaws in the Cardinals.

The only other reason I'd think it'd be a "must" win is because of the rest of their schedule: Giants and Patriots are almost guaranteed auto-losses, and Eagles and Vikings could potentially stop them as well. So with potentially 4 more losses heading their way (it's unlikely they'll lose to the Rams or Seahawks at this point), you never know...

Also Evil Bob, they've been to the playoffs what, at least 2 times I think since 1947, after coming here.
