Actually Arizona holds the tiebreaker over Detroit and Detroit holds the one over Minnesota.

Hopefully Arizona loses this week and Dallas just sits their starters (They have a playoff berth anyways... and they hold the tiebreaker over NY)

While I don't disagree with you in any way, you really do have to give credit where it's due. The Bills came into your house knowing full well how fired up your team would be, and we played a hell of a game. Your defense played awesome, not allowing us into the end zone at all. Our incredible kicker (in my opinion, the best in the NFL right now) is the only reason we won the game. That, and our defense stuffed the run all day. I think if you guys had passed more, the game would've definitely been yours.

About Lindell - I said "top 10" just to be safe, because I didn't really try to think about it; but that 15 straight kicks stat is incredible.

I do give you guys credit, you DID play a great game, and you're a team that is highly underrated (really should have the inside track for a WC spot). However, 25 carries for 50 yards is inexcusable. Especially by a back who considers himself Tomlinson/Peterson/Johnson/ quality. The thing is that Peterson was there at the 6th pick (though Landry is going to be a star)

(you guys need to start Losman; this quarterback carousel thing is going to ruin both of them; of course, I'm sure you know that;)

The thing is, this is the same crap that has been going on all season. Last game against Tampa Bay, we outgained them about 430-190 - and lost. Why? 6 turnovers. Our so called "playmakers" were making plays for the other team. Santana Moss cost us the GB game. Clinton Portis cost us the TB and NYG game.

As for passing more, if we pass on 3rd and 6 with 1:07 to go, we have a good chance to win the game; out of all the "young QBs" Campbell is by far the best, and he's doing it without a good o-line (Fabini and Wade suck, and Kendall is average) good WRs (Moss is inconsistent, and we don't use him right anyway, Lloyd is crap, McCardell is seriously our second best wideout) a consistent running game (see the bad oline, and Portis isn't a good RB; just another Denver system back)

btw you can have gregg williams back; he's not a good DC at all, at least when he's playing this retarded bend but don't break cover two bullshit and only getting away with it because you have a FS who was going to be one of the top 5 DBs of all time (seriously, who the fuck plays tampa 2 without a legitimate pass rush)

Also, we need to end this "defense wins championships" myth

the Browns have the worst defense in football yet they have 6 (should be 7) wins. In the playoffs defense is more important, but without a good offense, you won't even get in.

The Ravens still have a pretty high-ranked defense, but they suck because they can't score.

C'mon, Ravens! =D

The 4th quarter of the Patriots/Ravens game just started, and Ravens are winning 24-17! I would love to see them win, lol

Man, I would have loved to have seen how the Cowboys-Packers game would have turned out had Favre not been injured. (But hey, Cowboys got the win =P)

That football game was Epic.

But you simply don't mess with the best.

Great game Ravens. Look forward to seeing you soon.

GO PATS!

I'd love for a Cowboys-Patriots rematch, lol

and the ravens go against who, the Colts next? With they way they played tonight, can they possibly win?

The Pats didn't win the game, the Ravens lost it. 2 more yards Boller, 2 more yards =[

While I agree with the obviousness of this statement, most of the blame can be placed on Brian Billick.
<shortrant>

DUMB. ASS

You don't fucking call a time out when Brady sneaks. You had the little shit. Fucking retarted.
</shortrant>

If he hadn't done that, the Patriots would have lost 24-20.

And in addition...

How cool would it be to get an official's flag as a souvenir? I mean, screw footballs, 'I went to see the Patriots get 0wn3d and all I got was this lousy beanbag'.

Posting to point out the fact that Derrick Mason was grabbing around the neck of a pats defender pretty heavily while the ball was in the air, and it looked like he had no intention of going for it. If Clayton had gotten into the end zone, I think that a flag would have been thrown.

DC Rex Ryan called the timeout, not Billick.

Lucky for them, Pats survive again. They're looking more and more beatable each passing week, though. Dallas leads them late into the third, they pull one out of their ass and the Colts choke, then they get lucky pulling it out against two decidedly "inferior" teams. Steelers are coming up next, is it time for the Pats to fall?

See, it was fun to watch Patriots rape teams cause thats more scoring = more fun, but to watch the get ot of close games to win, fuck that, I want a high scoring game, or a Pats loss. Entertainmen please!

I like the Steelers chances now. Steelers are just like a better Ravens, they are both pretty similar, except we've got a much better qb and the #1 defense.

That "Steelers lost to the Jets and Broncos" bull doesn't matter now that the Eagles and the 4-7 Ravens gave the Pats a hella run for their money. It's not as if we got blown out by those guys. x)

Can you imagine if the Ravens had won that game? It would've been one for history, to fall like that.

Steelers have the number one overall defense AND pass defense in the league. If anyone can shut down the passing game (which the Ravens did so last night), it's the Steelers. Obviously, our offense has to come out running on all cylinders or else the defense won't hold and we'll get blown out. But when I started watching the game, I started in the 3rd quarter when McGahee was tearing the Pats up for 10 yard gains...I could see Parker doing that to the Pats as well. And Roethlisberger HOPEFULLY won't make the retarded mistake(s) that Boller made.

Hmm by your logic, the Eagle and Ravens game should be overlooked as Pats won since the Steelers losing to Jets and Broncos have no matter...

I'm cheering for the pats (because i want to see history, not because im a pats fan), and I think that last night was their last shot of losing in the regular season. Philly completely surprised them and playing in Baltimore is never an easy task, especially with an emotionally charged Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, and Willis McGahee. The Steelers/Pats game is in New England, so I honestly don't think the steelers have a chance. The pats have seen that they are vulnerable over the last two weeks, and they will do everything to prevent that from happening next week. If the game was in Pitt, I would give Pitt a chance, but the fact that it's in NE and the fact that Pittsburgh in my opinion is the 5th best team in the league (NE, DAL, IND, GB), I'm not expecting much out of the steelers.

That was a response to the poster that stated something to the effect of "I will shit my pants if the Steelers beat the Pats since they lost to the Jets and Broncos," as the Pats were in the same position the Steelers were in those two games, except they, of course, won.

What I'm trying to say is that if you are going to look at those two losses and say the Steelers have no chance, then you can look at the Pats last two games and say they are slumping/their passing game can be stopped/etc etc etc.

It's just two games where they played sloppily and got unlucky breaks at the end.

5 of 14 for 56 yards, no touchdowns and 2 picks and a qb rating of 8.9

pretty sure he got shut down

The irony of this is that when i was talking about shutting down AP a few weeks back, everyone was like- well duh he is gonna run for 260 yards but instead got hurt; when the score was 34-0 So obviously, you didnt shut down AP. About 40 yards over 45 minutes, definately not shutting him down according to select people that are Anti-Packers.

Brett Favre plays the first quarter. I'm not denying it was a horrible quarter, but if you (aerblacktyl) are going to say we DIDNT shut down AP you certainly can not claim that the cowboys shutdown Favre, by NO means can you claim that. By your logic, i can claim that Favre would have passed for a ton more, especially considering that the defense would have been tired, Favre would have settled down, and we were behind 10-27. Pretty sure we would be airing it out. Heh, and I thought i was a hypocrite (ha actually no i didn't) and a fanboy. However, being a fanboy is much better than trying to pose as a football expert that knows everything about football and is just to good to read my post. Im a proud fanboy.

God's team sort of orginated from the owner of ACNE packing company, who was a devout Christian. As the cowboys are refered to as america's team because of the star on their helmets, the Packers have a "G" on our helmets, for God as some wish to believe. This term especially came into play during the superbowl run in 1996. EVERY single player in post-game thanked God for the victory he had bestowed upon them. Now you're going to say blah you were 5 years old, which is true...but I have the superbowl on tape. Reggie White, the best defensive player of all time, was also a priest and lead the Packers in prayer before every play, and at other random times. I realize that this is not "special" to the Packers, which is a good thing. It does not mean that everyone that is a fan or a player is a christian. It's just a nickname that isn't real wide spread. You could argue there are teams that are more regligous than the Pack, props to them. But the fact of the matter is, america's team doesn't have the majority of America's fans either..so who really cares? Just roll with it like i TRY to.

Actually the REAL IRONY here is that we all said that to show much of a hypocritical idiot of a fan you were. We don't really give a shit how much Favre sucked, we just knew that you would resort to attempt the reasons we gave previously, therefore you are now admitting that Favre did get shut down as well as AP, or AP didn't get shut down and nor did Favre. Either way, you're a hypocrit and regardless of what you say, anyone with half a brain here knows that no one gives a shit how poorly Favre played.

Exactly what MoP said, I could not agree more.

god damn I really wanted the patriots to get owned by baltimore but the fucking refs had to ruin the game with the bullshit holding call, the TD juggle, etc. I really hope someone beats them, because as showcased by this thread 95% of all Patriot fans are idiots and/or bandwagoners.

I've been thinking about something someone posted quite a few pages back...if the Patriots do go undefeated, NFL pundits will talk about it for the rest of our lives and many will view it as the greatest season and greatest team...ever.

I guess before, I'd never really realized the history we COULD see unfolding before our eyes. I mean, we may never see this again man.

Of course it's not going to happen because someone's going to beat them but...;P

Oh at the end, the hold on Ben Watson was definitely a legit call, the defender was on him for a good two/three seconds.

The timeout was retarded though.

Great ending to a great game...the controversy only made it better!
