Not to mention one of those incompletions was all on Welker.

I don't care how many points a team puts up against the Pats...the Pats will get more.

yea that could have sealed the game earlier.

Though hey, it's the MVP. BRADY all game long. That ball fake TD was AWESOME! Brady just looks unstoppable...every game. Though Randy was shut down, but everyone ELSE made the plays.

The Patriots have always been a great team because they have loads of options. If you shut down Brady -> Moss, They can go with Brady -> Welker. If you shut down Brady -> Moss AND Brady -> Welker, they always have a rushing game in Maroney.

Not to mention Brady's O-line gives him so much protection and time that he can make big plays with his offensive options.

On Defense, Asante Samuel is great at interceptions and Vrabel seems to be on a fumble recovery kick.

The Patriots combination of many options, strong offense, and capable defense is a testament to their toughness. Every Patriots game is going to be tough on the other team.

btw.

17-0, 2 to go!

YOU'RE NEXT!

It was over when...
Jaguars WR Dennis Northcutt dropped a potential third-down touchdown pass in the third quarter, preventing Jacksonville from matching the Patriots point-for-point. The Jaguars settled for a 39-yard Josh Scobee field goal that made the score 21-17, until New England drove down the field for a nine-yard Ben Watson touchdown (his second of the day) for a two score lead with just over a quarter remaining. Patriots safety Rodney Harrison sealed it with a late interception.
L_Maroney_080112_inside.jpg
David Butler II / US PRESSWIREPatriots RB Laurence Maroney recorded 122 yards and a touchdown vs. the Jaguars Saturday.
Game ball
Tom Brady was nearly perfect, going 26-of-28 for 262 yards and three touchdowns, improving his playoff record to 13-2. His 92.9 completion percentage was an NFL record in the playoffs and regular season.
Key stat
Laurence Maroney single-handedly outgained the Jaguars' vaunted ground attack, recording 122 yards and one touchdown on 22 carries. For all the talk of Jacksonville's running back tandem of Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew, the pair totaled just 66 yards on the ground.
Noteworthy
Brady went the entire first half without an incompletion, going 12-of-12 for 120 yards. His first incompletion didn't come until his 17th pass. Garrard wasn't much worse, going 12-of-14 for 149 yards in the first half. ... Harrison has recorded an interception in four straight postseason games. ... Randy Moss recorded a season-low 14 yards on just one reception. ... The Patriots' home win was their tenth straight in the postseason, the second longest streak in NFL history.

Perfectly put: The Pats are ready for everyone, including the team that began this tear...INDY! Everyone was just...JAGS duo to shread NE, 66 yards! heck, i'll take that EVERY TIME!

17-0, 2 to go, and one trophy to hold. GO PATS

hey zerowing maybe next time you should not be quite as adamant, since you know, no one is clairvoyant!

GB Packers FTW, are you joking? "As for barber he has dreadlocks, and i like the way he runs downhill and uses that stiff arm." The first part of that is definitely not a valid reason for why someone is the fifth best runner in the entire NFL! Ryan Grant is not above Adrian Peterson this season. Adrian Peterson rode roughshod over everyone with NO quarterback assistance, while Ryan Grant performed admirably but not amazingly along with a top five QB.

Tom Brady led Patriots have no weak.

7-0 Colts, picked off Rivers, going back the other way. Harrison is still without a catch.

I'm beginning to believe that Harrison won't even be a factor, and that he's just going through the motions on a bum knee to take coverage off of Clark and Wayne. It's working so far.

Harrison was a factor.

He dropped it to prevent a 14-0 lead. =]

Also, don't be such a douche about Pats winning BeachBoy. We all saw the game. We've all read the recaps. We've all looked at the box score, read the articles, glance at the horrible pun headlines.

Not to mention, they shut down the running game but let DAVID GARRARD shred them for the most part. He was wrong. Jaguars lost. WE GET THE POINT.

Also, saying that AP is below Grant because he got shut out in a few games is stupid logic from a stupid person. Grant didn't even play like the first 5 damn games.

SUPER CHARGERS indeed.

Gotta feel good for Volek considering he played like 10 minutes all season and was just randomly thrown into a tight playoff game and started that first drive with a three and out. I really wanted a Colts/Pats offensive death match but with the way the Chargers are rolling right now maybe they'll be the ones to knock off New England.

i dont know man. the patriots cleaned the chargers up pretty well in the regular season and the game is going to be at the patriots stadium.

The Chargers won that game solely because of turnovers, which are mostly luck, so keep that in mind when you all talk yourselves into them being able to beat the Patriots!

I really hope Chargers can pull through and beat the Patriots. I agree, the game was on Colt's unluckiness based on Turnoevers, but Chargers did have some good drives.

To be fair, Chargers are good at creating pressure and LT has a good history against the Patriots. Much like the Jags, a lot of people will be taking the Chargers anyway because hey, they're sick of hearing it. ;/

I was adamant because I felt the Jags had a chance, unlike the Pats fanboys preaching greatest team ever and shit. I was mearly defending my point of view. I still don't know BeachBoy continues to call me out, its called a prediction for a reason, I made a wrong prediction move on Jesus Christ. The only team I care about are the Giants, I could care less what happens in the AFC right now, because the Giants have a date with Green Bay, Week 1 revenge was exacted, time for Week 2.

I am also adamant the Chargers can beat the Pats, not because I know it will happen, but because they have a chance, which is why I picked the Jags, I felt they had a chance and that they could pull off the upset. I feel the same with the Chargers, they have the best RB in the league and a great defense that can pressure the QB not to mention some good DBs. They have the blueprint its a matter of execution, if they execute I feel they can win, the Jags failed in this respect.

Hey your right, i feel as if every team that is left can beat the Patriots. Had the boys won i wouldn't feel this way. Dallas was really exposed as a fraudulent team today. Yeah, i just flat out said they suck. Thats right, they were never for real. Never. Maybe for a second, but then Romo went to Mexico. Im all for it, give the man some time off right? I didn't actually see the Jags game, but i never felt that they matched up well anyways. I think Green Bay has a good shot at NE, and as we have seen so does New York. Props to the G men and Packers. The Class of the NFC emerges this week. Green Bay vs. the GEEEE-MEN. This will be a great game. As for match-ups im worried about the Rushing offense of the g-men vs the Packers rushing defense. It hasn't been great but we only did allow 20 yards to Seattle. But they suck at that and they really didn't try. GB's offense should be fine agaisnt the G-men secondary and Grant an orgasmic top Three back. Top 3 back. As for Afc no one really cares lol. But i tihnk Pats pull it out.

As for Colts\Bolts, Turnovers are not "luck". Good teams take advantage of those situations. The only thing that pops out ot me as luck, are refs. (cough GB\dal game cough) Anyways, i just hope that the better team won this game. Tbh, who wouldn't love to see GB\NE. anyways, it doesn't matter because all im thinking about now is the GMEN, and dallas lol.

Wow Pats win, how surprising. I wouldn't go as far as saying they have no weak, not only does that make no sense lmao, but its not true. Certainly, their rushing game all around is a small, but still legit weakness. Sure they can shut people down when they bring down a safety, but what happens when they actually play a team that can run AND pass. Im talking about the Green Bay Packers. Now certainly, NE over matches them but GB is the most Balanced team in the NFL. The predictions for this week were classic- "seattle spreads it out and runs it well, the Packers suck at nickle, and GB can't run the ball well. Wait sound familiar? Doesnt GB spread it out, and actually have FIVE wideouts that are good? And didn't the Packers have 217 rushing yards agaisnt the lions? Name one team that has a good nickle back, and an orgasmic outside duo? Some bold predictions, for the first mintue and nine seconds of the ball game anyways. Coming into this game i felt the Packers weaknesses were safety and Guard. Wow, did that get cleared up. 201 rushing yards by Grant, pretty sure our line is just fine. Atari bigby, 7 tackles including some key break ups and a FF. Hot damn. And he has dreadlocks! Sure we still have a few weaknesses, but at the same time who looked better than the Pack this week? 42 points agaisnt that fast defense of the seattle hawks? In the snow? And the cold? Now by no means am i saying that the Packers have no weaknesses, but they sure as hell come just as close as the Pats. The Packers biggest weakness is the referees and their FS Nick Collins. It's to late to pull him now but he hasn't been productive at all. I look for Aaron rouse to get playing time next year at FS. The Packers losses have all been by some uncontrolling factor with the exception of the first Bears game.

How old are you? The Dallas Cowboys were the NFC East #1 and very convincingly beat the Green Bay Packers. Romo did NOT choke in this game. The only thing he could have done better is make a better decision on when to throw it away and when to take the sack. The Dallas Cowboys beat themselves with all the False starts and dropped passes. The Dallas Defense showed up when necessary and the rest of the team just couldn't pull it together. I'll be rooting for New York in the championship game, but if you REALLY think that the Dallas cowboys are a fraudulent team I seriously question your maturity and knowledge of the NFL.

In other news, I thought we banned gb_packers_ftw and he's just butthurt Dallas stomped his team into the ground. Guess I better root for the Chargers, since I obviously can't root for the NFC now and lol at cheering on the Pats.

Ha, actually i've had enough of these age questions lol, after showing im 15 i think im just gonna not touch that for now.

Well, good teams just win ball games and overcome mistakes. Why are the Packers better than the Cowboys? well if you can tell me who the boys play next week I would gladly award the boys the "top dog" in the NFC award. The Packers, who are one of the most penalized teams in the entire NFL, obviously overcame their mistakes...with the exception of about 1 game. Also-very convincingly beat teh Green Bay Packers? I think not. That game was close. There were some horrible calls. None of these were particularly GB's Fault. Im talking basicly about Al Harris's stripped ball. It basicly came back at you when they called it on Witten i think and you had to burn your last timeout. Why are the Packers better? They won lol. They have a better QB by far, better RB, better wideouts, and a better Defense. You beat us on Safety, guards, maybe LB because you have 4 but its almost a tie, and prolly TE. BUT, GB is 14-3, unlike the dallas cowboys. If the Packers lose next week, they are still better than the Cowboys, and so are 3 other teams that happen to be playing next week. We've been playing this game all season, but it ends tonight. The Green Bay Packers, are better than the dallas cowboys. Yeah i just said that. I'll tell ya what, you boys keep on talking and the GB Packers will keep on walking.

http://www.nfl.com/videos?videoId=09000d5d805f77ba tbh i feel bad for him..

if i had to torture someone, i'd make them read all of gbpack's posts

both the cowboys and colts should have won those games, dumb mistakes gave the chargers and giants the opportunity. and let's give them some credit, they took advantage.

pats/pack '96 rematch

ayup

man i want to see favre win one to (finally) go out on top

and beat the pats in the process

Yeah man, Respect. Also- anyone remeber the last time Favre was in the superbowl? I have the tape, and i watch everytime the last few plays if i need to motivate myself. The Packers were big dogs (like 8 or 9) in that game agaisnt denver, and then got beat. Im sure Favre remebers it and wants some revenge on a team that im sure would be big dogs. Hey, I'm all for it.
