That was the most upsetting Cowboys game in a long while (even worse than last season's ending).

The Cowboys are fradulent? Yeah, it is not like they had already faced this team two times this year, or like Marion Barber was ridiculously unstoppable or anything.

Good. Now that the Cowgirls have lost, I won't feel dirty should the Pats go to the Super Bowl. I can root for either the Giants or Packers with a clear conscience. But, first things first! I'm a Chargers fan now! Let us hope aliens abducted Norv Turner fifteen weeks ago and replaced him with an engineered life-form that is like him in every way except that it is also a supremely competent head coach!

Oh, and I'm sorry, but you have to ask some hard questions about the Cowboys after last night. They committed a ton of mental errors(including Golden Boy Romo himself!) and, were, dare I say, out-coached. How shocking, that Wade was out-coached and his teams commit untimely mental errors under pressure! Sounds familiar...

Must suck to be a Dallas sports fan..

Dallas goes up 2-0 on Miami in NBA playoffs...then lost.
Dallas in game winning situation against Seattle...then lost.
Dallas being 1st seed in NBA against 8th seed...then lost.
Dallas being 1st seed in NFC against divisonal rival...then lost.

I'd be depressed. At least with my home teams, they aren't good enough to disappoint me!

P.S. Just because a team is playing next week and one that just lost this week doesn't mean the one playing this week is better. They didn't play each other to get in that situation, cause any idiot can make an argument that one team got the easier match up etc.

Dallas beat the Heat; referee bias was the only champion of that series.

Way to ignore the NHL MoP (where we rallied back in the series then lost game 7 in the most debilitating way possible!)

zerowing, you cannot back off with the way you acted - you did not say 'I think the Jaguars are better, and this is why,' rather adamantly declared yourself correct. That is presumption and not prediction.

What the fuck are you talking about? I said the Jags have a chance, explained why in my original post, then BeachBoy comes out stating incorrect facts, so I defended my pick by stating the real stats and facts. I never once said I was the know it all and I abosultely knew the Jags were going to win. I mearly defended my pick. Jesus Christ get off my back, its a fucking prediction. Maybe this is some anger from a Cowboys fan coming out against a Giants fan?

Here is something I have not heard ANYONE mention - Brett Favre is making deep throws again, is there really no possibility he is on steroids? I never make allegations against players like this (because unfounded accusations are an awful thing to foist upon anyone), but I do find it funny that the people who are so eager to always label any mysterious resurgence as steroid fueled have not touched upon this with Brett Favre at all!

zerowing, I do not care about you using or not using stats. You asserted something would happen - you did not say maybe, you asserted things as if you had some special clairvoyance gave you some insight the rest of us were lacking! I am all for people making predictions, but not to assert them as if they are factually going to happen. People typically get most riled up when they are trying to save face, and your immature and wild allegation against me proves it. You are a Suns and a Giants fan, and since I know that you are not a fan by locale loyalty, I could not care less what teams you root for. Once again, you did not even refute what I accurately stated, that you made presumption and not prediction.

Someone obviously didn't get the joke! Asserting something will happen is a part of predicting something with happen, if the Jags were to win I had to assert that the Jags would run for 200 yards and they would control the ball. Its a prediction, and for me to predict something I would have to run an imaginary game in my head and hope that translates to the real game. Of course it didn't happen. Just like with my prediciton of the Seahawks passing game ruining the Packers, the passing game got no where. No one has mentioned that, and I wonder why. Its a reason its called a prediction, I used facts and predictions to back up my game prediction. I was obviously incorrect in my prediction.

And don't bring up my fanhood because you don't know my history or the story behind being a fan of any team.

If you do not want me to bring up your fanhood, then do not make a wild allegation with the purpose of being insulting that relates to your and, in this case my, fanhood. There is no reason to do something like that in this thread (except when it involves Fight Two Demons or GB Packers FTW)

Hey hey lets back off here son, just because his G-men rolled your boys doesn't mean you have to get all up tight with the man.

Brett Favre on steroids is the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard. He never lost it! i dont see why the hell everyone is like yeah Favre sure has come back this year... No, the Packers came back this year. I highly doubt you watched every single game that Favre was in since 1994 and i have yet to see him not be able to make a throw in the field. He is not on steroids, we shouldn't even be talking about this is the dumbest thing i've ever heard. If anyone is on roids its TO because he is evidently getting faster. Now i doubt that this is true, and i would assume he has always been this fast, but just now espn comes breaking in that TO is fast... its all bs Favre is not on roids.

Yeah its pretty sad tbh i have never missed a game with the exception of one game that i had to go to bed because i was in 4th grade and it was on MNF. Darren Sharper recovers the onside and the Packers won. The worst game i've ever seen was prolly the 1998 wild card between the 49ers and Packers. Everyone calls it "the catch" when it was most obviously "the fumble" 3 plays previous by Jerry Rice. Total luck, no one knows why the hell it wasn't a fumble. Btw thanks for the warm welcome back BBM.

Anyways I'm posting my predictions:

SD @ NE

Pretty obvious stuff. The chargers will come out and shock the world and get ahead early, and then the Pats will come back and crush them. Really don' like the AFC much so ill move on.
Pats win 35-24

G-Men @ Packers

Great game. Both teams have chagned loads since week 2. Both RB's are now different, and the giants lack Shockey, and i really don't know too many of the other injuries on that ball club. I think their secondary is a little banged up, which will definately benefit the Packers, although their secondary stepped up to crush the boys. As for the Packers changes, they now run many more 2 back sets, actually attempt to run the ball, and have WR\KR Koren Robinson back from a suspension. I think the Key match-up here is how well the giants run the ball. The Packers run defense would be one of their only weaknesses on defense with the exception of FS. That leaves the Giants with one option besides running the ball, playing long toss and going deep on Collins (FS). Collins is pretty fast, and you might be able to get one ball past him on a PA but besides that he won't bite especially if the run isn;t working. Thats really why the giants have to run the ball. On defense the Giants need to stop Ryan Grant and bring some heat with their front 4. The Packers are a great screen team which will be able to eat up any sort of blitzes should they choose to throw them in. As for coaches and play calling, Mike MCcarthy is a schemer and overall good coach. Tom coughlin is one o fthe better coaches in the League. However, for whatever reason Inoticed that the Giants offensive play calling is just horrible. Particularly on their last offensive drive agaisnt Dallas. They just go and run up the middle twice. Sure run the clock but you need to be more agressive, had they tryed a PA theycould have shut that one down without having to play a tighter game.

Overall, that's just way to much for the Giants to do, and although they are away...They haven't played in the cold since the NE game, and this weekend in WI is gonna get very ugly, about 4 degrees. I think the cold is overated in general, but i still think its way to much for them to do.

Packers win 33-21

i dont think its the cold that bothers most players, its the snow hindering visibility and traction as far as i could tell from the hawks at WI it started snowing heavily and the hawks just lost it. everything got sloppy and they couldn't do anything about it. 4 degrees is colder than a witches tit but i think the giants will be in worse shape if it snows.

Green Bay Packers vs New York Giants

Honestly, this game is a tougher call then most would probably think, just based on the past 3 games the Giants have played. This one will be close. But I'm going with the Giants on this one because they have proven that they can step up when they need to do it the most. Plus I think we will see a lot of Ahmad Bradshaw since he's primarily a change-of-pace back for the Giants at the moment, and don't count out Eli either. He will probably have a good game. Giants, 31-28

New England Patriots vs San Diego Chargers

The AFC Championship game is a much easier call than the NFC game. The Chargers will be missing their star players, or they will be having them for a short while. Even then, ESPN's simulations are pointing to their presence not having a huge impact of the game. The Chargers have been playing very good defense, but this game will remind everyone even more that the Patriots have more receivers than Wes Welker and Randy Moss (but expect to see something from both of them); I'm predicting a good game for Donte' Stallworth as well. Patriots, 38-24

Fix'd.

Before I get to the meat of my statement, I'd like to point out to my dad that the Chargers are not, in fact, called the Tomlinsoners.
You know who you are.

I'm loving the intrigue behind the SD-NE game, namely because no one's giving them any chance in the game at all.
It's like everyone completely forgot the Indianapolis game.
No one gave them any credit at all, Howie Long and those idiots on Fox or whatever the hell it was (save for that Frank guy, I'm watching his show from now on) called the Colts, giving the Chargers no shot.
Now I'm not saying it's not going to be easy but I'm really hoping that the Bolts are going to be able to take down the dynasty that is New England. Being a hardcore fan of both teams, I have to side with the Chargers. What I'm thinking is going to happen is going to be a high-scoring first half with SD out in front early, then NE taking it back, then SD reclaiming the game with Merriman and their allstar offense.
Rivers should be fine in that game since he was walking perfectly around colts stadium, and LT will be back with some luck.
SD ftw. Fuck up that perfect season, boys.

Good to see GB packers ftw back too *rolls eyes*

Well walking around a stadium with personnel and running from 300 pound linebackers are adifferent thing.

Also does anyone else here remember football games they saw when they were 2? Cause apparently GBPackersfan does.

all I asked for this year was for the Cowboys to win a playoff game and they couldn't even do that. Ugh. I had a feeling though that they would lose that game for some reason, not just because they had to beat the Giants three times this season nor was it the last 3 games they played before but because the Giants seemed to have a spark the Cowboys didn't and seemed determined to win. Meh. There's next year right? lol.

Even though I dislike the Packers I want them to win (obviously) to beat the Giants but other than that I don't really care who wins the Super Bowl unless I decide to bet on it. At this point I dont really care if even the Pats win it all because they fucking deserve it.

Well, you know, historically, #1 seeds don't do well, but they typically come back next year as wild cards and make a lot of noise. As a Bills fan, my one desire is to see the Patriots lose. I was even prepared to root for your Cowboys....

Yeah this is so true. After a great season obviously your schedule gets much harder next year, and most of the time your just the same old ball club. I doubt any of the teams that finished 13-3 or above will match their records next year, but at the same time with the exception of dallas i doubt anyone will not win their division next year.

Anyways before i posted that the gametime temp would be 4 degrees, instead the forcast has changed and there will be a low of -16 degree's with a wind chill. I also heard if that fotcast holds up it will be in the top 10 coldest games, or maybe post season games i really don't know tbh. Brett Favre is around, give or take maybe 1, 45-4 when it gets down there that cold. That includes all the bad teams he has played with. So we know it won't affect Favre, but im interested as to how it will affect the Giants.

I'd be very interested to know where you got that "record" for Favre.

On a more on-topic, my predictions for Championship Weekend:

The Chargers come out strong, with alot of heart, and grab an early 7-0 lead. The Pats superiority shows as the game goes into the second half, and they win 28-13

Favre leads the Packers over the Giants, in a game largely influenced by the weather. The Giants had a nice run, but the GB team, in the snow, is just too much to overcome. 21-14 GB.

That "record" is right here near the bottom of the page http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/20...7/01/13/bc.fbn.seahawks.packers.ap/index.html Also i appologize it is exactly 43-5, when the temp is below 34 in Green Bay. Like i said give or take 1. Until a few years ago he had a record of like 30-0 and then the sherman era settled in and we were trash.

I guess Packers have the advantage cause they're playing at home in the cold.

It must be really really really warm where Eli and the Giants play for them to have that advantage.

Look at seattle, they are north of GB, and they had tons of defensive and rushing problems in Lambeau. Now, ill give you that it may have been the fact that the Seahwaks don't run the ball well, but you can't ignore how bad their defense played. Sure there are tons of factors, but i recall just about every little media moron talking about the upsets and how Seattle was going all the way because of Kerney and that "fast fast" Defense. Well they met "cold cold" Lambeau and certainly were not much of a factor in the game, despite playing in the cold and being used it. And people tend to forget that the Giants don't play in New York. It's called New Jersey. Sure it's till cold, but not nearly as bad as GB. GB also has the Lake effect and we could get into meteorology but im gonna pass. Now i think everyone is over-doing the cold a tad bit, but it's ignorant to brush it off as a non factor or saying that the Giants are used to it, which they are not -Tampa -dallas..you get the point.
