Challenge The Scramble Challange

Um, Superascrafty gets a Ralts, called PsyShroom. It thinks it's a fun guy (geddit? Lol) and hence I doesn't like to make people faint, as it like to socialise and make friend. Thus, it may never faint an opposing Pokemon. If it does, you must immediately afterwards drop it into the Day Care, and can only take it out after beating 2 more gyms, or if you don't have 2 gyms left, get to the Pokemon League and you can take it back out.

@TM13: Got it. Now as soon as I get clarification from Newbyn00b about Cjaka, I think I'm ready to start. So my team is:

Squirtle (Turtwig):
  • Mustn't fight any Grass or Electric types
  • Try and solo as many Fire types as possible
  • Solo Wake's Gyarados to evolve into Torterra at level 36

Dyingflame (Ponyta):

Solo:

  • Drifblim and Gengar (Fantina)
  • Bronzor (Byron)
  • Snover and Medicham (Candice)
  • Octillery and Ambipom (Volkner)
  • Dustox and Beautifly (Aaron)
  • Quagsire and Sudowoodo (Bertha)
  • Everything besides Rapidash and Infernape (Flint)
  • and Girafarig and Medicham (Lucian)

Genow (Shinx):
  • Can only use special moves or status moves

MGB(Budew):
  • Can only use Grass type moves
  • Must solo entire Pastoria Gym except for Wake's Gyarados to evolve to Roselia
  • Cannot use Solarbeam while Sunny Day is in effect

Cjaka(Buizel):
  • Can only use special and status moves
  • Must give her a (Max) Elixir

Trollbird(Starly):
  • Must evolve to Staraptor at level 37
  • Moveset can only consist of moves learned by exactly 3 of its fellow brethren (Pidgey, Spearow, Hoothoot, Taillow, Pidove)

Technically I wouldn't accepted MGB because I said a requirement was that I could evolve all my Pokemon fully, but I'm bending the rules here because I probably wouldn't have fully evolved it anyways. I guess I'll start looking up moves for Starly until Newbyn00b gets online.

Ziposaki, can you post those moves for your Trollbird? I need the for my Trollbird (Taillow) as well. So far I have Wing attack, Quick attack, and Double-edge. Is there anything else?

@Newby n00b: Can you clarify this more? So I can't use the Pokemon Center to heal PP or what?

Okay, since the restriction was apparently so ambiguous, I'll give you another challange: Capweasel the Buizel. It must have Hidden Power at all times and solo 30 Pokés corresponding to its Hidden Power type.

@SuperScrafty: Uh, depends. Treadshot! Do Egg moves, TMs, and like moves that a pokemon could learn in a past generation or a future one count?

@Newbyn00b: Eh, I'd rather have Cjaka. I just don't understand what you mean, when I should use all of the Elixirs. I will take Capweasel though.

Hoothoot can't learn quick attack. I believe I can also use peck. Taillow can't learn tackle, so tackle, quick attack, wing attack and take down are the early moves for your Starly. I think CC and BB are still options for you, so I envy you :(

SuperScrafty, I reserved a Slakoth for you that you didn't list in your emerald scramble.

Also, I believe Pokemagnificent still needs a challenge. Catch a Finneon, name it Pherb. Pherb is a child inventor, so he cannot evolve. He has been experimenting with TMs, and needs to test some of them out on himself. Unfortunately, his sister will notice if he uses any moves he is not supposed to learn. As such, all of the moves he uses must be the ones he can use naturally, but if he can get a move through a TM he must learn it through the TM.

Recap:
Can't evolve.
Can only learn level up moves
All level up moves that can be learned from TMs cannot be used until the TM is gotten.

Whoops, sorry Bob_Squob, I didn't see your slakoth.

HG

3.Pachirisu
4.Bidoof
5.Piplup
6.Stunky

Well my teams are garbage, but what can ya do?

@SuperScrafty:I don't think so. It says exactly 3, and 4 pokemon can learn Quick Attack, thought Spearow by Egg move. Tackle is only learnt by Pidgey and Hoothoot. I don't think anyone else besides Staraptor can learn Brave Bird and Close Combat, so those are out.

So I am just going to take Capweasel so I can hurry up and start the darn Scramble already! Yay! My members are:

Squirtle (Turtwig):
  • Mustn't fight any Grass or Electric types
  • Try and solo as many Fire types as possible
  • Solo Wake's Gyarados to evolve into Torterra at level 36

Dyingflame (Ponyta):

Solo:

  • Drifblim and Gengar (Fantina)

  • and Girafarig and Medicham (Lucian)

Genow (Shinx):
  • Can only use special moves or status moves

MGB (Budew):
  • Can only use Grass type moves
  • Must solo entire Pastoria Gym except for Wake's Gyarados to evolve to Roselia
  • Cannot use Solarbeam while Sunny Day is in effect

Capweasel (Buizel):
  • Must learn and forever keep Hidden Power
  • Must solo 30 pokemon corresponding to its HP type

Trollbird (Starly):
  • Must evolve to Staraptor at level 37
  • Moveset can only consist of moves learned by exactly 3 of its fellow brethren (Pidgey, Spearow, Hoothoot, Taillow, Pidove)

There! Expect the first update to come to this soon! If I had to guess the order of usefulness here, I'd say Capweasel, Dyingflame, Squirtle, Genow, MGB, and then Trollbird. Famous last words people, famous last.

@Obsidian Ranger
You know a place with lots of electric pokemon? The Power Plant. But gosh, you need surf to get there and a soul badge too. Hmm.
Once you have both Surf and a Soul Badge total up the levels of your pokemon. This number must be even, if it is not even immediately use a Rare Candy to make it even (no, don't grind. Rare candy that shit) If the total of your levels is divisible by 6 you get option 1; if the total is divisible by 3 but not by 6 you get option 2; and obviously, if the total is divisible by 2 but not by 6 you get option 3.
A/N whatever option, it must be caught at the Power Plant

Option 1: Catch a Wild Electrode. Name it ScratchFce. It's challange is dependent on your next action. Without using any items go attack Zapdos. If ScratchFce can successfully solo Zapdos without any items coming into play you get challange 1, if not challange2.
Challange 1: Solo both other legendary birds and any pokemon used by the Elite 4 that is part Flying.
Challange 2: Solo one of every line that has used Scratch or Slash on any member of your team. (Eg: a Charmander Scratched you so you must solo a Charmeleon or a Charizard if no Charmanders present themselves)

Option 2: Magnemite
Name your magnemite MahLazerr. ASAP It must know Lock On and Zap Cannon (it absolutely must know these before the Elite 4). It must only use those moves in that order. It may evolve when you use Metal Sound to Lower 10 pokemon's special defense. These pokemon must be owned by trainers and not wild pokemon. Metal Sound may be deleted when you wish.

Option 3: Pikachu
Name your Pikachu Improbable. The only electric move your pikachu may know is Thunder. It must know 2 non-attacking moves that are not named Toxic and it final move must be an attacking move that is not a Normal type attack. Pikachu may evolve when it is the highest level pokemon on your team.

@Pokemagnificent
Bring a Geodude. Name that sucker Optimus because the theme of your trainer is Prime. Obviously, since you will not trade that caps Optimus as a Graveler but before it can be a Graveler he must solo Roark. As a Graveler you must solo any other Gym Leader.
Now concerning your Prime theme. Everything you do must be about Prime Numbers. You may only go into a Pokemart if you have a prime number amount of money. You may only go into a gym if the levels of your pokemon are prime OR if they total a prime number. You may only throw a pokeball if you have a Prime number of that ball or a total number of pokeballs that is prime. You may only by items in amounts of prime numbers. (1 is not a prime number)
Good luck.

About the first challenge, it's humanly impossible to get Option 2.

WARNING! THIS IS NOT A SUMMARY! IT’S BASICALLY A SYNOPSIS THAT INCLUDES A LOT OF MINOR DETAILS AND RAMBLING! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!

I start by carefully paying attention to Rowan's well-thought out tutorials and introduction speeches, and by paying attention I mean ignoring him and mashing the A button. He soon gets the idea and shuts up about himself. He proceeds to ask me about me (took long enough.) I tell him I am a girl and I name myself my normal name for a Diamond and Pearl run: Risune (an anagram of sunrise minus an r.) I simply name my rival Barry and excitedly begin my journey by shrinking down to the size of a pin. Goody.

I end up watching TV in my room about a Red Gyarados that migrated from one lake to another lake like 3,000 miles away (rough guess) even though there is no possible way he could’ve because Gyarados shouldn’t be able to survive on land and since the land is so far away unless he made it to the edge of Johto in as little time possible and got into the ocean where he could sustain itself and swim to Sinnoh, though that is also impracticable because... ah whatever. I change my text speed to fast and head downstairs.

When I walk down a flight of stairs in 2 seconds flat (yeah I dunno), my mom rushes up to me and tells me Barry was calling for me a bit ago. What does he want? Whatever. I start to head outside, but my mom stops me for no good reason to tell me not to go into the tall grass because pokemon can jump out because I can’t see a potentially over 30 feet tall creature in grass like 2 feet tall despite having 20/20 vision. Thanks for the faith in me, Mom.

I finally walk outside into Twinleaf Town, a town despite only having 4 houses. Real big town here. I walk to Barry’s house and proceed to get smacked in the face with a door. Yowch! The person turns out to be Barry who tells me to get my butt over to the lake because he’s gonna fine me 1 million poke if I’m late. Yeesh. He runs off, before running back saying he forgot something and rushes inside. I follow him in like a stalker and run upstairs where I presume he is, completely ignoring his mom like the polite person I am. Barry’s at his desk, stuffing his Bag full of junk. He tells me again to get to the lake, upping the fine price to 10 million Poke if I’m late.

I follow him out of Twinleaf Town to Route 201. We head to Lake Verity to find a Red Gyarados, but instead find an old man and a dopey kid wearing a red hat. Great trade-off, right? They ramble on, the kid referring to the man as Professor and the man revealing the kids name as Lucas, before they finally leave, leaving behind a briefcase. Barry suggests we go look at it, and I follow him. Suddenly, we get attacked by Starly and by some miracle the case opens by itself. Barry suggests we take one and battle with them, which I oblige to. Thus, I get my first pokemon: Turtwig (I can’t nickname it right now).

I spam Tackle for an easy 3HKO. Barry reveals he got a Chimchar (no duh,) before Lucas walks back to retrieve the briefcase. He learns we used the Pokemon and freaks. We leave the lake and go on our merry way before being stopped by the old guy. He inspects our pokemon before leaving with Lucas following, but not before Lucas says to visit the lab that we have no clue of the whereabouts. We both head home.

I explain the whole scenario to my mom in a ..., who says the guy was most likely Professor Rowan, and that his lab is in Sandgem. She says I should go visit him, before giving me what I wanted: the Running Shoes. I follow her instructions and head off on my adventure.

The way to Sandgem has little interruptions, just a few scattered Bidoofs. I level up once before reaching my destination.

When I reach Sandgem, Lucas meet me at the entrance to the town. He leads me to the lab because apparently I could’nt find it myself even though it was literally 5 steps away. Barry runs into me-literally, before running off. Lucas is bewildered at Barry’s impatience, before leading me into the lab. I meet Rowan in the tiny lab, who asks once again to inspect Turtwig. He does so, before announcing he is letting me keep it.

He asks if I want to nickname it, which I do. I take the time to name it Squirtle as per the requirements. Rowan and Lucas start jabbering before saying he wants me to do something. Yadadaya, he gives me the Pokedex. Lucas shows me around town, then tells me I should inform my mom I’m doing this. Before that, though I run inside to buy a few Pokeballs and Potions. I stall on Route 201, running around and leveling up a bit before finding the pokemon I want: Starly- aka the second member of my team, Trollbird. I lower its health to the red zone before chucking a Pokeball at it. Thankully, it goes in with only 1 thrown. I nickname it Trollbird before finally heading back home.

When I get home, my mom heals my pokemon before I explain the favor for Rowan, she gives me a Journal before giving me her blessing. I am about to leave, but Barry’s mom barges in. She asks where Barry is, explaining he left before she could give him something. Mom volunteers us to become a less-than-minimum-wage-paid delivery system and deliver it to him. Thanks. His mom says he would probably head to Jubilife, so I decide on that for my next destination!

I back-track to Sandgem, using the bait-and-switch tactic to train Trollbird on the way. I soon reach my destination, quickly healing before heading off to Route 202.

When I get onto the new route, Lucas decides it’s a good idea to interrupt me and teach me how to catch Pokemon, even though I’ve already caught one. Yeah, I dunno. After a drawn out tutorial, he gives me 5 Pokeballs and leaves. Whoop. I can finally move on.

I train a bit and stall right before Jubilife because I have made it my mission to catch my third pokemon-Shinx, before I enter the new city. I quickly find one and grin, preparing to attack, but then I remember. My Turtwig thinks it’s a Squirtle, so it can’t fight Electric types. And since I can only use Wing Attack and Take Down on Starly... shoot.

So long story short- I have to grind Trollbird all the way to level 9, where it learns Wing Attack. This process was extremely annoying and tedious, and I couldn’t even go to Jubilife because there was a trainer with a Shinx on the way, so I’m gonna spare ya’ll from it and get straight to the action. Trollbird is now level 9, so I run about until I find a Shinx. Jackpot: I find one on my first try. I quickly whittle it down with Wing Attack and toss a Pokeball. Success. I nickname it Genow and rush back to the Pokemon Center and heal. And that’s where we leave off...

COMMENTS: Gah. So much work to capture it, and I can’t even use it until I get a TM! Useless. At least it has a Modest nature.

COMMENTS: The saving grace of this team. The ban from fighting Electric or Grass types sucks, but overall it is still very helpful.

Because I have been enjoying my FireRed Scramble, I think that I will also try this challange with my Silver and Emerald. Same rules apply, no trading, but everything else is fine.

note how none of those are even.
maybe I don't really like magnemite.

@TalkingLion

for Silver: Catch a Slowpoke and name it Brawler. It may only know attacking moves of physical attacking types.

for Emerald: Catch a Nosepass. Name it TrollFace. It must know 2 attacking moves and 2 non-attacking moves. It may never be less than 5 levels below your highest level pokemon.

Talking lion can have a Torchic called Ryu. this chick is dissapointed that everyone calls him Ken coz he wants to be Ryu. He also thinks he has speed boost so he must use protect to start every battle as a Blaziken. Therefore his moveset as a Blaziken must consist of

- Protect
- Ranged Fire type move (eg. Flamethrower, Ember)
- Kicking Move
- Punching move (if possible. I'm not sure if Ken learns punches)

TalkingLion, Emerald gives you a Zubat. This Zubat places a big curse on the entire team, to be exact, the Berry Curse. For Zubat to fight, all Pokemon on your team must be holding a Pecha Berry. If one of your team members loses theirs mid-battle, you can't use Zubat for the rest of the battle. If for some reason you can't fulfill this condition anymore (e.g. you run out), then all members lose a move slot permanently, then this Zubat will force everyone to hold Cheri Berries to fight, then Aspear Berries, & finally, Chesto Berries. At this point, if you can't get your entire team to hold Chesto Berries, then you lose the game. Name it FlapCursed.

Have fun.

Also, I've been thinking about what to do next on White & I've decided it would be best to do either a Solo Run or a Scramblocke. What should I do?
