Challenge The Scramble Challange

Remember COKTAL, Shaqueefah has to solo one Poke of each e4 member as a Gastrodon, not just one from the entire e4/Cynthia lineup. And Ralts must have Trace Ability.

Okay, wasn't sure about the E4 part, but I'll make sure ralts has trace (kind of hoping I can get a good synchronizer before I find a trace one lol). Anyways, I just got the last pokemon off my current file, so it's time for me to go abuse my IDs. Wish me luck :)

Quick question: If a pokemon, like Gastrodon, gets KOed while attempting a solo and I revive it and put it back in without attacking from any other pokemon, does it still count as a solo or not?

@Vratix: Thanks for the help.

Well I just got the ID combo I want, so now for the actually challenge. So far I've picked up Piplup and just saved after that. Gtg for a while. Will try to update after the 2nd gym.

Update: Quite a lot has happened. For one, Fantina's a bitch. It was a real pain trying to get Noggin to solo one of her Pokes. But I did, and after the battle Captain (Meditite) evolved!

- Finally could Surf over to Canalave where I could catch a Glameow. Named it Mildred, because no one specified what to name it. Shortly after catching her she evolved into Purugly, and is now a real threat with Fake Out + Slash + U-turn. She's fast enough to kill stuff without breaking a sweat, and Thick Fat comes in handy.

-Rival was laughably easy. OU Warrior took out most of his team with Aerial Ace.

-PFCVagoo (Bibarel) could've swept Byron's whole team with Specs Surf, but I had to lead with Noggin (Grotle) to fulfill his requirements. Noggin is becoming less and less useful as opponents start to get into the upper levels. It's only threatening moves are Razor Leaf and Crunch, neither of which are very helpful when I could just Thunderpunch with Captain, Surf with Vagoo, or Night Slash with OU Warrior.

-Made my way through that awful snow route and caught SnowCone (Snover)! My job was to get it strong enough to solo Candice's Abomasnow, finishing with Blizzard. Let me tell you how slow Snover's level up: really really slowly. Anyway I got it to level 41 and started trying to beat Candice. Noggin was surprisingly effective. After a couple Curses he OHKO'd most of the team as they tried to get in an Avalanche. He threw up a Reflect, allowing SnowCone to just barely beat Abomasnow. I kept dying to Grasswhistle (annoyingly accurate) and Swagger, and eventually slapped the Choice Specs on him to 3HKO with Blizzard (4 with the Sitrus Berry). And with aroun 10% of his HP left, SnowCone landed the final blow.

He got about a fifth of his Exp bar filled from defeating a Trainer's Abomasnow a level ahead of him. He's gonna be a pain to level.

- Tra la la'd through the Galactic HQ, evolved SnowCone. . .

-Solo'd the Double Battle against Mars and Jupiter with Captain. And I say solo'd because Barry sent out his Munchlax to do zero damage the entire battle. Great job, Captain.

-Did close to the same against Cyrus, except I switched out to avoid the Intimidate stat drop.

-CAUGHT PALKIA WITH THE FIRST QUICK BALL THROWN.

Alright, I'm going to go ahead and start this challenge.

I'll be playing SoulSilver and I would like 2 of my pokemon to know either: Baton Pass + A stat upping move, or U-Turn

Other than that, only restrictions from OP. So...yeah. Lets do this!

Team:
Spr_2s_193.png
Yanma - (Caught in a Premier Ball - Can't evolve until it knows U-Turn and Ancient Power)
Spr_2s_155.png
Cyndaquil - (F) (Named Foxxy C. - Must cancel the evolution until I solo the next gym)
Spr_2s_203.png
Girafarig - (Baton Pass + Calm Mind or Agility - must solo Chuck with either Psybeam or Psychic - must use Baton Pass in 2 or more of the elite 4 battles)
Spr_2s_079.png
Slowpoke - (Surf + Psychic move - it must attack first against 20 trainer pokemon in order to evolve)
Spr_2g_123.png
Scyther - (Swarm - Can't evolve into Scizor)
Spr_2s_108.png
Lickitung - (MilkyWay - 3 Normal movies + Knock Off - Solo Clair's Kingdra)

The team is set! I'll probably post a little update tonight, because as soon as my DSi is finished charging I plan on starting. (I swear it has a 2 hour battery life. Utter crap)

As far as gyms/E4 go, I guess the only ones I'm worried about are Jasmine and Karen, as I don't have a good answer for either of them. I'll have to look at move pools and stuff to find an answer.

Get a Yanma. You must catch it in a Premier Ball, before your battle with Whitney. (Route 35 is accessible at that point by going north, if I remember right.) It cannot evolve until it learns U-Turn (and AncientPower), and must retain U-Turn.

@Mentlegen: SR for a female Cyndaquil. Name her "Foxxy C." (period included) For each evolution she must cancel the first attempt at evolution and then solo the next gym you come to (if leader is required solo for something else, he/she may be skipped)

-Edit-
@Chateau, I'm really glad you're lovin' my Vagoo (LOL if you get the reference)

@Mentlegen: Take a Girafarig. It must know Baton Pass and either Calm Mind OR Agility at all times. It must solo Chuck (I'm assuming you can get one by then) with either Psybeam or Psychic. It must use Baton Pass in 2 or more of the Elite Four battles.

On an unrelated note, I would like to do a Scramble runthrough of XD: Gale of Darkness. my only specifications are: 1) I must use an Eeveelution, and 2) no "You may not purify this Pokemon" requirements. Other than that, let the fun begin!

@Mentlegen, you have a serious rock weakness, so I will give you a Slowpoke! In order to evolve, it must attack first against 20 trainer Pokemon (as in the first move in the battle against each Pokemon. Subsequent moves don't count). I suggest using a Quick Claw. It must know Surf and a Psychic move. Evolve it into whichever one you want.

@Mentlegen, catch a Scyther in the Bug Catching Contest. It may not evolve to Scizor. It's ability must be Swarm (if it's not, breed or catch a new one until it is).

@Mentlegen, you have plenty of powerhouses you can catch early on so take a Lickitung named MilkyWay. It must know three Normal moves and Knock Off at all times (that means no Rollout) and solo Clair's Kingdra.

Well, I guess now is a good time to update since it's been about a day and I just beat the 2nd gym. I lost in my first attempt in against the leader in the 2nd gym due to a crit (was 1 attack away from winning). I must admit, that was the first time I've ever used the X items before, but they helped the 2nd time round. Anyways, about to head into Galactic's hideout, and here's my current team:
394_30_1.png

Quirky Prinplup "Skipper", Lv. 24.
-Pound
-BubbleBeam
-Bubble
-Peck

Sassy Noctowl, Lv. 21.
-Growl
-Foresight
-Reflect (I miss hypnosis, but rules are rules)
-Peck!

Careful Shellos "Shaqueefah", Lv. 18.
-Mud Bomb
-Mud Sport
-Hidden Power (idk type)

After an unnecessarily long hiatus, Team Ninja Squirtle has finally conquered Brock. Here's how it stands:

Leonardo
Calm Squirtle (M)
Lv. 13
~Tackle
~Water Gun
~Bubble
~Withdraw

Michel
Docile Mankey (M)
Lv. 10
~Scratch
~Leer
~Low Kick

Splinter
Lax Rattata (M)
Lv. 9
~Tackle
~Tail Whip
~Quick Attack

-Brock was a piece of cake. OHKO on Geodude with Bubble, 2HKO on Onix with Low Kick. No problem.

Horray. Team Gentle♂ (get it? It's funny because its Gentleman, but the game doesn't have enough letters for Gentleman) is off to a good start.

My first pokemon to obtain was a female Cyndaquil named "Foxxy C." It took me 8 soft resets to get her, so I hope you're happy Vratix.

After running Prof. Elm's chores (WHY DOESN'T HE HAVE LYRA DO THEM, SHE LIVES IN HIS ATTIC AND SHE FREAKING DOES NOTHING BUT ATTACK ME WITH HER MARILL ALL DAY, USELESS PEACE OF CRAP) I finally was a free man!

I got my direction, and started off when I encountered this guy:

26570509

Yeah. I rolled him and continued on my way. I gave him my phone number (maybe he'll call me, we could become BEST FRIENDS!) and battled that douche that beat him. I made my way to Violet City, and along the way I managed to train Cyndaquil up to 14, so I had to cancel his evolution (twice, actually. He was 17 when I beat Falkner). And I entered the Gym.

Falkner's gym was easy, I really wish they were all like it, because I would have the world's greatest journey through the Pokemon universe.

Suck it.

Next, Bugsy. Ok, now before I continue my story, WHAT TYPE OF PERSON FALLS DOWN A WELL BARELY BIG ENOUGH TO FIT HIM? FURTHERMORE, WHAT TYPE OF OLD PERSON TAKES ON A CRIMINAL SYNDICATE IN THE FIRST PLACE WHEN A PERFECTLY CAPABLE YOUNG MAN STRONGER THAN HIM CAN DO THE SAME JOB IN LESS TIME.

Just needed to get that off my chest...

I squashed Team Rocket, and on my way out I encountered this little guy:
Spr_4h_079.png
and caught him (at 7? or 8, don't remember too much). I'm so creative, I named him HotChix. He knew Curse, Yawn, Tackle, and Growl. The greatest moveset ever, honestly, if I didn't have that Surf/Psychic restriction, I would totally just keep his set. I love him.

I trained him up to 9 in some bushes but got sick of it, so I just went to kill Bugsy. Or at least, I wish I could kill him. None of the trainers were too complicated, I just would switch HotChix in so he could get some experience, but let Foxxy C. (22 Quilava by this time) do all the heavy lifting. HotChix leveled up during the second trainer. The only annoying pokemon was Bugsy's Scyther, because he was Bugsy's starting poke and HotChix was mine, and so I switched in Foxxy C. while he U-Turned, and I wasn't paying attention so I OHKO'd his Metapod without putting HotChix in. But I rocked the rest of his team and Foxxy and Chix leveled up in the process, taking Foxxy to 23 and Chix to 11.

Bug leader? More like Bug bait! HAH

I exited, healed up, then went to Ilex Forest, but I completely forgot that I had to fight Silver (yeah, I named him Silver, like I said, I'm so creative). It started off with Ghastly vs. HotChix. I immediately switched to Foxxy C. and OHKO'd Ghastly. He sent in Croconaw next, and I switched to HotChix. I yawn'd his Croconaw which gave me enough time to switch Foxxy C. in and figure out which one of my 3 damaging moves did the most damage (Flame Wheel, Ember, or Quick Attack, I could have told you it was going to be Quick Attack but I wanted to play it safe). I managed to out damage him because he decided he would rather Scary Face me than Water Gun me. Horray for AI. I dispatched his final pokemon and rocked his world (yeahhhhh).

"I ONLY LUV STRONG POKES" Yeah, I bet you love strong men too. Oh snap.

Off to Ilex Forest!

P.S. They're probably not going to all be this amazing. I figured the first one should be kind of cool.

Your Eeveelution is Vaporeon. It may only have one attacking move at any time.

If you want to change, i guess you can, but in that case it must be a Flareon, only one fire move, and only one attacking move (not including the fire move). The remaining two must be some sort of status/healing/something that doesn't damage.

Flareon sounds good. Flamethrower FTW.

Also, my little brother (we'll call him 'Emerald') would like to do a Scramble runthrough of Emerald. He says he can handle anything, so break out the big guns (and while you're at it, be sure to give him one of the starters).

'Emerald', take a Skitty, name it Purrball. It can only evolve to Delcatty if it takes an item from a gym leader's Pokemon with Covet.

@Emerald, take a Seviper named Venom. It must know one level up move, one TM move, one HM move, and one tutor move, or it cannot attack.

@Emerald: Take Sceptile as your starter. It is only allowed to evolve from Grovyle into sceptile by soloing Watson's Magneton. Also, it can only have 1 grass type attack at any one time (includes non-damaging attacks).

Trainer: 'Emerald'
Game: Emerald, Scramble
Reason for Post: Addition to team:

Mr. Emerald,

You will be using a Makuhita on you team. It must have a -Attack nature (SR until it is), and must evolve on Level 36 and only know one damaging Fighting move at a time. The moves it must know upon evolution are: Fake Out, Vital Throw, Knock Off, and Smellingsalt.

Good luck,
Detroitlolcat
