Argentina have no chance Maradona is useless.
England played a secnd side against brazil and only lost 1-0
biggest underdog is ful..erm USA

USA has potential, although I don't see them get past the quarter-finals. But they can always surprise. Ghana is another underdog with some potential.

Err
Guess what he'd anwser to you if he heard you say that :P

Onto more serious issues, I believe we will see Australia at it's finest. After their marvelous campaign in the 2006 World Cup (if anyone still remembers, they were beaten by later-champions Italy by an italian that mistook the box for a diving pool), they were one of the first teams to qualify with a dominating performance in the Asian qualifiers. I'd bet a semi-final run for them. Slovakia and Switzerland are also due to surprise.

As for winners... Spain has a bullseye on her chest, winning ALL qualifying matches isn't for everyone. I'd like to say that Portugal is going to win (and will i still believe :) ), I'd say my money's on Brazil.

Wow, I really think your overestimating Australia, I think we can make the second round, but the semis is really a pipe dream. Whilst Australia has been getting good results (especially against the Dutch) are style has been lacking and we were completely overwhelmed by the dutch last time and have struggled against Asian teams but getting results.

Spain definately deserves to be overwhelming favourites, I'd rate the Dutch second. In terms of suprises I'd say the Chile and Slovakia might give the tournament a shake after going well in qualification.

but remember who beat spain recently? USA.
spain are by no means the unstoppable force, depends how many first teamers they have available.
yea italy did cheat against Australia, typical italians lol

A team that is winning first round 2-0 and ends losing 3-2 isn't something we can call "potential" IMO.

Yeah, but against who did they lose that game? Yes, it was Brazil and no it is not a shame that you lose from 5 time world champions Brazil. Believe me, other teams would have been wrecked by Brazil;)

So nobody of you think about a NEW champion? I would like an African world champion at last. After all, they are at home. Cameroon, Ivory Coast and Ghana are serious contenders imo.

This is the time for Spain to win a world cup, i'm not saying they will though, but they are on my list of favorites.

Chile displayed a good football too, it's a team that i'm expecting to perform well.

I wonder what will be of Mexico...

I'm anxious for the Friday!

Cameroon, Ivory Coast and Ghana, despite being at home, have no chance whatsoever.
I think it's time for an underdog to win the WC, like Switzerland, Serbia etc.

What, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Ghana and Nigeria all have solid teams and definately should not be written off.

In other news, Lionel Messi has deservedly won the Ballon d'Or.

The World Cup Pots have been released !!!

Pot 1 (seeds): South Africa (group A), Argentina, Brazil, England, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain
Pot 2: Australia, Japan, North Korea, South Korea, Honduras, Mexico, USA, New Zealand
Pot 3: Algeria, Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay
Pot 4: Denmark, France, Greece, Portugal, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland

The hardest possible group in my opinion is Spain, Australia, Ivory Coast and Portugal whilst the easiest possible group in my opinion is South Africa, New Zealand, Algeria and Slovenia.

Raigekijin are you on mate, the draw hasn't be made yet and even if it was that group, those prediction are ludicrous.

I'd love to see Australia verse England it would give us the extra motivation to succeed and really raise the profile of football in Australia.

Somehow i believe South Africa will get a group like this: New Zealand, Slovakia and Uruguay. It would be tough for them if they get something like Mexico, Ivory Coast and Serbia, which is possible but "mysteriously" it won't happen.

Lol i had a laugh when i read this

So the FIFA was making the final rehersal for the draw, with Charlize Theron calling the participant team's names. When it was time for France, she shouted "IRELAND!"
Ledt the FIFA officials shocked. If only she kept that for the real draw.

The draw is about to happen....

Group H

Group H: Spain, Switzerland, Honduras, Chile

Easy group for Spain

Group G: Brazil, North Korea, Ivory Coast, Portugal

What a horrible group to be in not only is it a group of death, but 2nd place then have to go and play Spain. Ivory coast get the group of death again, i had high hopes for them i don't think they will get past this group. North Korea are fucked they should probably stay at home. Brazil to top the group and Portugal 2nd who will go on to be Spain's bitch.

Group F: Italy, Paraguay, New Zealand, Slovakia

Easy for Italy

Group E: Netherlands, Denmark, Japan, Cameroon

Denmark could do something here, but i think alongside Netherlands this is Cameroon's for the taking.

Group D: Germany, Australia, Serbia Ghana

Really difficult group, Germany will get through this and i think probably Serbia

Group C: England, United States, Algeria, Slovenia

Outside of USA we got a very easy group

Group B: Argentina, Nigeria, South Korea, Greece

Difficult but i would go Argentina and Korea

Group A: South Africa, Mexico, Uruguay, France

France going through and i would say Mexico.

Ivory Coast and Brazil... guess we're not qualifying without breaking a sweat.
Bring it on

@latinoheat: spain's bitch? let's just wait and see...
