After captains have been announced, there will be another one week period in which the captains have to hold tryouts/scout users to assemble their team.

Posting this as the Co-Captain of East. This is our current roster, although changes could always be made to it.

i tried to get irc and my computer won't allow it,every time i try to get it,my virus protection says threats detected and closes the box.Is irc the only way to find this stuff out?
Hello UKers, this post should hopefully explain how our selection process is going to work.
So we can judge fairly and decently, we're going to request you speak to one of 6A9 Ace Matador, Zak91, or myself. We may set you up with a game versus ourselves and/or we will then set you up to hopefully play 1 or 2 other games (at least one of us is generally online at a time so if you pop on we should be able to set something up) against other potential UKers so that we can just get some more of an idea on your skill level and team building in some kind of comparison. We hope to watch, but if not please please please save the log and send it to Zak91 and myself. We have a lot of closely matched competitors and some we have no idea on, so we're leaving it fairly open! We'll probably then retire on Thursday so that we can decide on the final lineup and subs.
The best way to get in touch and sort out games is via irc, where we can be found at #uk. Alternatively, feel free to add my msn so that I can hook you up with some tests: twash_man@hotmail.co.uk

is the website synirc.net or irc.synirc.net, because on synirc.net it states that i need a registered nickname, no idea how to get Dx, and on irc.synirc.net, it talks about excelsior's electronic projects. O_O help?

We have a few people in mind that we'll invite to play no matter what. For the other spots, a few pointers:
1. Autojoin #europe on IRC if you haven't already.
2. Tell mind/Mekkah that you want to play for us so we can keep a list.
3. We plan on holding #stark cup-ish tournaments on #europe if it's crowded enough. In addition, we encourage you to battle other (aspirant) Europeans and tell us your results (and battle circumstances). The more you battle the better.
4. I will set up an European forum somewhere later that will be used for non-real time communication. Once it's up, I encourage signing up. Even if you don't get in, we could use your support!
