True that. We gotta spread ourselves out. I'll be reppin' Smogon and vVv Gaming (I probably won't be wearing a vVv shirt, but my friends will be), so let's go us.
 
Ducks vs Falcons. That'd be interesting.

Somebody should try to stream the tournament. Set up something and stream it for everyone not there.

haha yea the Falcons were kinda formed to compete against the ducks, but thats not what were about now. We liked the logo so much though that we had to stick with it! But it would be pretty epic if we could go up against some ducks at nationals.. And vVv? God, i never thought they'd spread to POKEMON of all things lol.

Nah, we haven't. I'm the only one in vVv that plays competitively on this scale. Anyone else in vVv just plays the game for fun. Some vVv people other than me will be playing, but they have no idea what they are doing. I'm the only one that does.

Then they wouldn't be the US champion, now would they?

I've been secretly proposing to the US government to try and mix Canada into our country and make one United States of North America so we all get an equal amount of VGCs...and that the USNA would sound badass and would be hella huge geographically wise.
 
godudette also won't be going anymore. =( If she does, it's gonna be a last minute surprise.

But she will be at the Indy LCQ! =D Hope to see some cool peeps there!
 
Everybody, please don't go so I can win. :) I'd rather lose to you all at Nats rather than at Newark.

Sucks that some peeps are dropping out, though. Wanted it to be a big Northeast partay. Ah well, we've got everyone else.
 
Sorry guys but I won't be attending Newark anymore. My wife wants me to take a trip to Atlanta but I'm always down to help with teams and other vgc stuff. Smogon all the way ya dig let's take it from the japs.

This is the thread for the New Jersey regional qualifier in Newark. The date for this event is June 12th, 2010. It is going to be located at the Meadowlands Exhibition Center at this address:

Senior Registration: 1:00 P.M. to 1:30 P.M.

It's probably important to note that this is the last qualifier in the United States before the National Tournament in Indiana. There will be a last chance qualifier (LCQ) held at nationals after this event for those who didn't make Newark or the regionals prior.

There's gonna be a shit ton of people at this tournament:

BTW guys, you can't miss me. I'll be wearing a Worlds 2008 VGS shirt, with the 2008 cap and 2009 pin. And I'm asian and like 5'4 and 13, you can't miss me. Don't intimidate me :p

I posted once already, but uh.. I'll be there wearing a mighty ducks shirt and a backpack. I'm the short guy in the ducks shirt who'll be standing next to the 6'+ tall guy wearing a ducks shirt :) Say hi!
 
Missing from the list is my son now known as Shinkou (formerly as Gouki Shinkou) as we'll be there hopefully early enough to get our spots. As a reminder, my real name is not Evan as we're looking forward to seeing all the good smogonites we met in past years again along with the new ones here. Let's hope we all get in and don't have to face each other or get haxed in the earlier rounds, and that our father/son team makes it to the finals like the Arnold family down in Atlanta did.

We're undecided as to what we'll be wearing, most likely t-shirts at least. I won't be wearing any baseball caps like I did in New York in 2008 at the chagrin of the Yankee fans working there seeing me with a Red Sox cap.
