Where is your nick from?

My name origin is fairly lame:

I love mangoes (favorite fruit)

Meloetta is a fun mon to have in the team, especially normal monotype. Also it makes for good alliteration.

it was the name of my minecraft faction i created when i was like 10, it was fairly popular and i had a nice base but it got raided because i didn't have enough obsidian to protect it, so after learning that i abandoned my own faction i created and never went on that server again

this is actually my 3rd name on smogon, with my last two names being ScraftyForTehLolz and Springtrap, so i think it was an overall great decision, but i still about that faction everyday

I love Mortal Kombat ever since I was little, and my favorite character is Scorpion - to be fair, he's everyone's favorite character from MK - so my usernames are all based around him.

It's just one of those names that randomly came into my mind one day and I thought "Hey. I should use this somewhere." And voila.

Nice question! I think mine sounds a bit pretentious, but it wasn't intentional. Basically, I took the names of two ships that I used to like and put them together; this was some five years ago or so. The reason I'm still using this nickname today is that I've been too lazy to try and invent a new one ever since.

I was young and wanted a clean simple name. The Weavile line were some of my favorite mons at the time so I suppose that’s why I went with Sneer.

Around the time I started playing on PS (mid-late 2016) I was just about to start studying mathematics at university. Throughout Sixth Form (High School equivalent in the UK) I was obsessed with nation-wide mathematics competitions, along with maths in general and so I'd spend a lot of my spare time after school practicing problems either from previous years or from the Art of Problem Solving website (many thanks to sed idk if you're still working for them or was working for them when I used to use it but it helped me get stronger and I wouldn't have achieved medals without it). My favourite types of problems to solve were those regarding number theory, of which Diophantine equations (named after the Ancient Greek Diophantus) are a part of. Diophantine sounded like a pretty cool name so I went with that.

I wanted to have my IRL name Taiga as my username since that's pretty cool too, but that's taken. Diophantine is a mouthful and most of my friends shorten it to Dio. I've never seen Jojo's Bizzare Adventure but I can't escape the memes/references every time I start speaking to nerds online with this name lol.
