Your most Memorable moment from Gold/Silver

Using my level 100 typhlosion with Earthquake, Thunderpunch, Flamethrower, and something else in the battle tower. My other two team mates were 36 pidgeot and 36 Noctowl. I was a little cocky back then and i got destroyed after a couple battles

Playing Crystal in my friend's treehouse with four or five other guys pretty much all day every day all summer long. My level 100 Typhlosion (Fire Blast, Fire Punch, Thunder Punch, Earthquake) was the best Pokémon any of us had, and all my friends tried ceaselessly to beat it -- a level 100 Suicune finally did the trick. With their help, I completed the Pokédex, and was super disappointed when Celebi didn't appear at the Ilex Shrine. Eventually I got a hacked Celebi, and nearly died of happiness -- 251 seen, 251 owned.

Then the bloody battery died. ¬_¬

Training my Eevee, every waking night to get my beloved Umbreon. I'd also include all of the fun with Team Rocket in goldenrod, suffering a defeat to Whitney, and catching Lugia (I had Silver), which was rather fun, I taught my Feraligatr Rock Smash to catch it. O.o

catching Ho-oh. I had just started playing silver a few years after the release and I forgot how to get the rainbow wing or whatever its called. My friend told me where to get it in Pewter City and I was so excited. It wasnt just catching Ho-oh but the whole tower puzzle and music was awesome and the story about how it burned down the other tower. Also learning that it got thunder was awesome

When I learned how to clone. Oh how I whored that glitch like a bitch.

The runner dogs aren't much of a problem when you have 10+ Master Balls.

Also my shinies are of course memorable. I got a Shiny Cleffa from the egg you get from the day care couple in Crystal, I got a shiny Paras from the Ilex Forest (unfortunately, I had already caught one and taught it fury cutter. =( so that sucked) a shiny Krabby, and a shiny Larvitar I got when I was hatching an egg for a friend. I cloned it of course.

Unfortunately, all of those are lost due to me starting new games in spite of the shinies.

But I've played through the game dozens of times, often making theme runthroughs, like mono type and stuff. A few times I traded over rare eggs of things like Snorlax and Larvitar to a new file from my friend's Gold version, so I could start over on my Crystal with a powerful team at the beginning.

But uh, as far as story goes, the SS Aqua was the best. Goin to Kanto and shit, it was pretty awesome. I was pretty disappointed Mewtwo's cave was gone though.

Ahhh, my shiny Gloom and Noctowl.....now that I think about it, Shiny Noctowl had a wonderful color scheme.....oh, at catching Raikou on my 95th Pokeball(yes, poke, not great, not ultra, not master, just Pokeball) the bitch ran away tons of times before I could capture it

When I had to do the Underground Shutters to get to Team Rocket, when I found an Aipom(favorite pokemon), and when I got my first Shiny Pokemon, which was Ampharos(also happened to be my strongest pokemon that single handedly took down Ash).

I really enjoyed the first time I got ahold of scizor and kingdra. Oh the orchestration between two brothers gameboys!!

Ah if I had to say my favorite memory was wandering around the patches of grass around Nugget Bridge and running into a shiney Oddish! I was shocked I could get another shiney pokemon besides Gyarados, I caught it and got a wonderful shiney Vileplume not too much later.

Outside Mt Silver. For some odd reason. It's the most overpowering image when I think about my GOLDen days. :p

That and getting my Celebi from a Nintendo Event only to have the internal battery run out less than a month later... -_-

trying to get past the cianwood gym....i couldnt figure out the strength puzzles x.x (i was like 6) by the time i got through it my typlosion was like lvl 45 :D

Memorizing the tune from that bug park was my favorite memory. Kind of lame, I know, but it was still a great memory. *sigh*

i remember every time i went to go fight Clair (dragon lady), i got bred for a smoochum so i could get psychic without using the TM.

my Jynx kicked ass.

Me and my twin sister used to share it, we were only like 8/9 and i remember being on the ohone to her when she beat the ghost gym with an ampharos xD

My neighbor, 5 at the time, would take my Gold version almost every day and battle the E4 with Typhlosion, Electabuzz, and Vaporeon. After about 3 months all 3 were level 100 and I had over 300 run throughs of the E4. Then my save file got corrupted...

Rival battles is the most memorable thing for me in G/S. I just really love how different this rival is compared to the other rivals in other generations with his shadowly, darkish Pokemon (excluding the starter). And, the rival battle music rocks!

Ah, Crystal version. The game that made me a gamer. I remember the first time I played through the game, the only Pokemon I ever used was my Typhlosion, which I probably got to about level 90 by the time I fought Red, then getting thrashed by his Blastoise... good times.

Lets see...

I remember finding Raikou in the grass south of Ecruteak City right after releasing the three legendary dogs in the Burnt Tower. I knew something was up because...well all the Pokemon on the route are between levels 14-16, and Raikou was at 40. Too bad I didn't catch it then....

Until...

I found it again after I got the Master Ball. Hah I caught it, only to realize later on in the game that there were 2 other dogs and I had no Master Ball anymore lol.

getting to the end of mount silver and finding that you could fight red. and catching my first larvitar back in the day when i didnt know what the hell it was. also being the only one amongst my friends not to pick cydaquil as a starter and go with chickorita. good times =]
