Still no confirmation of lati@s or mewtwo. Maybe We'll have to wait for an rse remake a long ways in the distant future for those.

Not really. Just think a little, where would Latibros and Mewtwo be found? The former are roaming pokémon, but Johto already has three of them, so they probably will be found only in Kanto; the latter could be in Cerulean Cave again, which is in... Kanto. And we don't have any news of Kanto yet.

So, let's just wait for next month. Its CoroCoro might finally give us news of Kanto, and those three legendaries. Notice that this month's CoroCoro didn't say a thing about Kyogre, Groudon and Rayquaza either; they must be also in Kanto.

Swift Swim Gyarados would be quite a boost to Rain Dance teams in UU. Intimidate definitely helps with its medicore physical defense when switching in, but the threat of Gyarados sporting incredible speed with 'double STAB' Waterfalls is crazy. Tyranitar, or Hippowdown trying to switch-in to stop the rain don't care for the prospect of Gyarados' Waterfall much.

Assuming Rain is in play, and it's a total offensive Life Orb Gyarados Dancing while forcing a switch:
Attack: 746 (with Life Orb.. and consider a 160 base power Waterfall after Rain and STAB)
Speed: 522

:naughty:

Of course lapras and vappy will have no probs switchine in on even a 1000 power waterfall and ohkoing back(since its total offensive) with hp electric.

I like Lugia's and Entei's new sprites. Entei looks so regal. Ho-oh is... Well, pretty much the same except it looks a bit better than DPP Ho-oh sprite.

Edit: Also, what a dick move to make the NEPichu untradeable. If that event unlocks anything useful ingame (or Celebi) I'm gonna be mad. >:(

Hmm... I could probably just download the wondercard...

Just so you know, Gyarados is in the OU tier, and you wrote UU. ;]

I would much rather have Intimidate on my Red Gyarados than Swift Swim. I hope we don't have to settle for that, I don't plan on setting up rain in the game(until I get Kyogre, that is).

Ho-oh doesn't look different enough. I do like Entei's new sprite, anything refreshing gives me hope that he may get Flare Blitz. Lugia's sprite is pretty cool.

No news on Lati@s or Mewtwo, since Kyogre/Groudon were pseudo-wanderers in Emerald, do you really think they would have 4 in a single region?

Guys, did anybody else notice that the Lake of Rage appears to be the size of Goldenrod on the map? I realize it was big in G/S/C with the water/cut maze, but maybe something more will be added? Just like Kanto Safari zone maps were found in G/S's coding, there was also what appeared to be a different Lake of Rage (kinda similar to Pastoria, lots of water yet still a town, Gym and Pokemon Center included).

Ho-Oh looks bad. I'm not afraid to say it. Entei looks cartoonish, Lugia looks good though.

You do meet the Kimono Sisters at different points throughout the game. They'll probably be plot related, but maybe also Battle Tower Salon partners/day of the week people (assuming Leafeon and Glaceon sisters get added at some point).

And no, I severly doubt there will be a Time Machine to trade with DPPt. The Time Machine was for trading between generations (ie a Kanto Pokemon being sent to RBY) and there were BIG differences. No Sp. Atk/Sp. Def in RBY, no IVs, no alternate coleration, less attacks, heck even no hold items iirc. It will not be done for the pointless Slowpoketail (acts like a Nugget/Pearl/Star Piece) and the Ragecandybar (heals 20...).

OMFG... Notch-eared pichu is the suckiest pokemon I think there has ever been... Anyway.... The new sprites are wicked LOL! I quite like the ho-oh sprite they could have done better but I think its fine. Lugia and entie's sprites are probs the best I've seen so far though.

BTW oh yeah I agree with the post above, there won't be any point in a time machine and it would suck anyway and I'm pretty sure that the game designers can at least work that out LOL. ^_^

Well, you can get the NEP in-game by having the Pikachu-Colored Pichu. So as long as that one is able to be traded (it can, otherwise you couldn't even have it on your HG/SS game), you should be fine.

The only thing that really matters, I guess, is that if you want to use one in battle, you'll have to SR your own.

Ho-oh sprite looks bad, in my opinion. Who else is loving the Pokegear and menu features?
The ability to have two key items is definitely appreciated. I was always a bit annoyed at having to switch between the Bike and the Super Rod when I went fishing, so I'm glad that won't be a problem anymore.

Hmm, I don't really think much will be added (if there are going to be Move Tutors in HG/SS, perhaps one will be there, but not much else). I just think that they made it larger on the map to make it seem more like an actual lake, similar to how Mt. Silver is huge on the map, but you only ever go through a small part of it.

There had better be move tutors in it!!!!! >_< There are a lot of pokemon that aren't quite cut out for competative battling these days. >_<

Frankly, I don't think Nintendo is that big on helping us competitive battlers out. It'd be cool to have good move tutors, but I don't really see any huge good coming out of their inclusion.

I don't know, Platinum's were pretty ridiculous in my opinion. But at the very least, I think we're getting Curse, Zap Cannon, those types of GSC TMs...

And about the Notch Ear Pichu being so restricted, I have a feeling its base stats, level up moves, and TM compatibility might be better than the average Pichu. And this IS possible, because that Pichu is going to be coded into a new index number not found in DPPt. It explains why its sprite is unique. Its gender ratio must be 0/100 for male/female...

You guys are crazy, Entei hasn't looked this good since the pokemon movie. Lugia looks great and I don't think Ho-oh looks bad at all.

Suicune most likely has the encounter with Eusine giving you the opportunity to catch it.

I'm thinking once you meet the kimono girls you battle them again across the map. Once you've battled them all they get together for those "one after another" battles. Whereafter you win a prize. Possibly a eevee of your own(if you don't get it from Bill) or some kind of evolution item.

I like how the map now shows exactly which Pokemon are roaming. Haha the little Entei head. Notice there is a little "relevant area" green spot in the Ilex Forest. Is it marking the Celebi Shrine or the forest itself?
There are new areas on either side of Olivine. One might be the Miltank farm, but then what would the other one be (TAUROS RANCH LOL)?

The big thing for me is, it shows the route east of New Bark Town, which of course goes to the Elite Four, but it doesn't show the route connecting Indigo Plateau to Mt. Silver. But it doesn't even show Indigo Plateau at all. I take this to mean that you get this Johto map, and then when you can take your "first step into Kanto" it will roll over to the other map. Is this how GSC worked? I can't remember.

Entei sprite is horrible IMO.
If there are any new sprites that aren't Ho Oh, Lugia,Entei,NEP,Gyrados, can someone please link me :P

True. Although if you look at the actual area, the exterior of Mt. Silver is huge.

I suppose you're right. It just struck me as odd as to how Goldenrod is 6 blocks on the map (no other city every matched that) and the Lake of Rage is also 6 blocks.

Oh, and the phone feature is back...

Gold: *takes daycare egg*
Gold: *gets on bike, rides 6 steps*

Ring!
Camper Alex: So yesterday I ran into a Nidoran but it got away lolz. Drat! Well just thought I'd let you know! Bye!

100 steps later...

Ring!
Camper Liz: My Nidoran is the cutest Pokemon ever. Maybe you should come and visit us. It sure gets lonely on Route 32.. Bye!

less than 5 minutes later..

Ring!
Fisher Henry: I was fishing yesterday and hooked a Gyarados! But whaddya know, it broke my rod!

:|

And yes, going left of New Bark Town changes the map to Kanto.
