According to Smogon, it cannot learn Skill Swap.
yup, we all know that Slaking does not learn it, the whole theerymoon was about the rankurusu with magic guard and that would be great if it learned skill swap so we could partner with something like slaking and start to wreck stuff, whatever is just theorymoon anyways :p
Edit: Dangit lucalibur is right, then sorry Frank Ripley nevermind what i said.

obvious he was not talking about slaking but clefable instead, also wtf is wrong with my PC today? sometimes i see exactly same double posts from other users.

It's not like Slaking doesn't already have one of the best partners in doubles, anyways. Choice Scarf Skill Swap Drifblim + Chople Berry Slaking seems a lot more effective than giving Slaking Magic Guard with a really slow Rankurusu.

There is going to be a trailer for the anime, Best Wishes, which might show some new Pokemon.

Actually, it's really slow but bulky Rankurusu. And imho Slaking with Magic Guard is way better than chople berry, it can still be OHKOed by a SD Luke wih Life Orb CC

When is Lucario gonna get to use SD when Slaking has Earthquake? Also, if it uses Close Combat, Chople Berry activates and Slaking gets an Unburden boost.

I'm really hoping for more strategies like these in Gen V. There weren't any in Gen III, really, but now with Choice Scarf and these different abilities and items, there are a lot of effective ways to use Skill Swap.

Luke with a focus sash, not life orb sorry. Slaking can still be OHKOed by that even with a chople berry. And yeah, they will be interesting, I'm really hoping Shedinja learns Skill Swap :naughty:

This is neither here nor there, but I wonder if the camera is controllable during more selection. It seems weird that they'd program it to automatically move in unhelpful ways while you're trying to decide what to do in a round.

I'm guessing that'll be the function of the analog stick on the 3DS.

For the person who said Hihi hit crit on tsu couple pages back, wouldn't it have showed the messages 1 for crit, 1 for It's Super Effective and then fainted. While after the punch only 2 messages were displayed.

It said "It's super effective!" and then "A critical hit!". I can assure you that.

This is a little late, but I want to respond to this:

Facade's BP is 70, which is doubled to 140 when inflicted with status. So, Toxic Orb + Facade = 140BP

Double Edge is 120BP, boosted 1.3x by Life Orb. 120*1.3 = 156.

And with LO, all your moves are boosted. How on earth did you figure out Facade to be better?

Toxic Orb prevents Sleep and Burn. Worth 16 BP IMO.

But is it worth giving up the 30% boost to all your other attacks? Slaking's probably going to kill basically anything with a STAB LO Return that doesn't resist Normal so you would be better off with the powered up Fire Punch/Earthquake/Night Slash, IMO. Also, you won't be able to prevent Sleep on the first turn (unless you use Protect which kind of screws this strategy up) so you should probably just go with LO.

No, look at the video, it showed: A critical hit! It's super effective! Firemonkey fainted

It was actually "super effective" and then "critical hit". And it didn't show the "Tsutarja fainted" message.

EDIT -- Jesus Christ you have 91 posts only on this thread, that's more than even Lucalibur (41), how the hell did you manage to do that
