Scrafty

Zuruzukin has been serving me very well. With Intimidate and maxed Defense, he's a very solid counter to Doryuuzu, among other things. Even Fighting types will find themselves sweating after a Bulk Up or two.

I played against this guy who used this set, and it raped me.
Zuruzukin @ Leftovers
Probably Careful nature
Shed Skin
Probably an EV spread something like this: 252 HP 252 SpD 4 Atk
-Bulk Up
-Rest
-Drain Punch
-Payback

So tell me what you guys think of this set and whether I just suck, or it's a legitimite huge threat.

I once got destroyed by a similar, if not the same, moveset. Tbh, I think its a bit of both; this poke is a total beast, and my team was horrifically fighting-weak.

It's very good at late game, when Taunt/Encore users and Phazers are gone. Only critical hits (f***ing hax) and Sacred Sword can break it after two or three Bulk Ups.

After playing with this poke, I've grown to freaking love it. I'm trying to find the perfect partner for him. And trying my best to get a plant version of a drain punch set, but nothing seems to work as well.

(I haven't played yet sooo...) Shandra seems like the best partner because she has a immunity to fighting and 4x resist bug(I think) And if your a cunt and use shadow tag you can get rid of all pantz lizardz counters. Hope I helped

@styxtap that also explains why he's so slow :>

Acess to DD, great 115 Def and SpDef, a Shed Rest combo, and fighting stab... There is alot of room for versalitily on this guy. All the new fighting types introduced in this Gen do pose a problem though...

Zuruzukin@Leftovers
Intimidate
116 HP, 140 Atk, 252 Spe
Adamant
Dragon Dance
Crunch
Drain Punch
Dragon Claw

Come in on a physical attacker, intimidate, DDance, sweep.

Trolololo.

pokemon:Zuruzukin
Item:life orb
abillity:over confidence
Effort Values: Atk 252, spe 252, hp 4
Nature:Adamant
move set:zuruzukin must sweep
--------------
Dragon Dance
Crunch
hi jump kick
ice punch

this set is working nicely but I don't know if I should switch Hi jump kick with a safer move like brick break?

*sorry for my terrible grammar

I'm running lately a bulky sweeper set in the form of:

Zuruzukin@leftovers
Nature: Impish
Ability: Overconfidence
EV's: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SpDef
Bulk Up
Amnesia
Drain Punch
Crunch\Payback

Workes amazingly as a late game sweeper, it just needs to boost the defense from the opponents attacking spectrum.
Once I was against an iwaparesu stacking spikes while I was bulk upping, I got 3 boosts and then he switched to breloom, next turn it spored me, then swords danced twice while I was fast asleeping, next turn it used technician Mach Punch which I thought wouldn't survive, but it did ~75% while I woke up and Drain Punched all it's life to regain ~50% back, + lefties I was like at 80% with +3 def and +4 attack (overconfidence, no need for EVs in attack =D), and swept the whole team back for 6-0.

Do you really need the boost from Overconfidence when it's pretty easy to set a few Bulk Ups up? I'm thinking Shed Skin would be better to take care of Toxic, Burn, and Sleep that could cripple you.

After going over the CAP and VooDoom, I feel this is the best pokemon to use with Zapdos, getting a great partner in the legendary... Either by a Baton Pass / Agility Bird or just your standard Roost-Dos...

Zuruzukin
-Dragon Dance
-Hi Jump Kick / Drain Punch
-Crunch
-Taunt / Toxic
@ Leftovers / Life Orb
Jolly Nature, 252 Speed, 174 Attack, 84 HP

with his amazing partner

Zapdos
-Thunderbolt
-Agility
-Baton Pass
-HP Flying / Heat Wave / Roost
@Leftovers, Timid, 252 HP, 80 SAtk, 176 Spd

or

Zapdos
-Heat Wave
-T-Bolt
-Roost
-U-Turn / Roar
@Left Overs / Life Orb, Timid, 252 SpAt, 80 HP, 176 Spd

The synergy between these 2 is unreal...

Drain Punch isn't an option on the Dragon Dance set. The two moves together are illegal, since Drain Punch isn't a TM and there's nothing out there with both of the moves.

^He is in the Ground Egg group and therefore breeds with Smeargle. There are no illegal egg move combinations on Zuruzukin.

Yes! Does That mean Sucker Punch?

and also to the OP intimidate works better than overconfidence it doesnt die easilly due to bulk up and it's a better defensive pokemon anyway

I tried this set it it's superior to the one above
Zuruzukin@leftovers
Nature: Impish
Ability: intimidate
EV's: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpDef
Bulk Up
Ice Punch
Drain Punch
Crunch

Ice punch is there too counter Dnite, chomp and mence

EDIT: Also this is an anti Dragon type pokemon it counter chomp better than scarf suicune or Garchomp itself but it's not as good a chomp counter than a Ice sharder and it works OK in ubers too just make Sure it's specially based.

Seeing as Zuru is centered more aruond survival and bulkiness, I'd use Drain Punch. Losing half your health in one turn is brutal for a bulky guy like him, as it negates some of his purpose.

I have been using Zuruzukin in my TR team. He is amazing in and out of it and smashes shit up late game. This is the set.

Zuruzukin @ Leftovers
Careful/Sassy nature
Shed Skin
252 HP/4 Atk/252 SpD
-Bulk Up
-Rest
-Drain Punch
-Payback

Get a few Bulk Ups and you're set. Survive a Sazandora Draco Meteor and KO with Drain Punch, recovering most of your health. only problems are bulky fighting-types before you Bulk Up and Scared Sword.
