I'm back! Who missed me? Anyways @bwburke you get a squirtle named "Blasturtle". This squirtle hates mono-types as much as you and has decided that all its attacks will be of a different type, it also hates being a squirtle so it must evolve ASAP. Oh and have it solo all rapidashes you encounter. Good luck.

I am putting my HeartGold Hard Scramble in indefinite hold. I need to SR for an awesome Shiny Raikou so I wont have time to keep playing it. I will probably take a Payback Scramble or Red Scramble and then complete the HG Scramble.

Alright, then I request a scramble challenge for Crystal then.
I cannot trade, and try to make everything catchable before Kanto. Also, nothing too ridiculous. Every Pokemon is fair game :D
Edit: Pokemon Count:6

@cabbage: Take a Ledyba named Not Wasted. It must solo Bugsy to evolve and must learn and never forget Comet Punch. It must always be within 3 levels of your highest-levelled Pokemon.

@cabbage, i'm not in a very creative mood atm so you get a variable challange. You may choose any pokemon that was UU in the 2nd gen, this will help. Now that seems a bit easy so for an added challenge it may only have 1 move shown in smogons sets. Oh, and nickname whatever you choose "UnderRated".
Good luck.Taking Sudowoodo, its move being Rock Slide.

@Cabbage, solve all of the Unown puzzles. Once you do, the very first Unown you encounter will have the same first letter as the next Pokemon you will capture. If more than one Pokemon begin with this letter, the next Unown will spell the second letter, and the third, etc, until you only spell out one Pokemon's name. If no Pokemon begin with that letter, or that Pokemon isn't available to you (or such a Pokemon violates any rules), repeat the process until you get a valid result. If you spell out a fully evolved Pokemon, you may capture it's pre-evolution instead if you wish.

IE: You encounter an "A" Unown, and a bunch of Pokemon begin with A. The next Unknown you encounter is a "Z" Unown. That spells out "AZ". The only Pokemon that begin with "AZ" in the Johto Pokedex is an Azumarill, therefore you get to have a Marill or Azumarill.

IE: You encounter a series of Unown that spell out Mew. Since neither Mew or Mewtwo are capturable in Crystal (and plus they're legendaries, they can't be used in a Scramble anyway), you discard the W and try again with "ME".

throwncabbage gets a variable Pokemon from me.

Capture the 100th wild Pokemon you encounter in the game (Legends don't count, don't SR either). The restrictions depend on the experience the Pokemon needs to get to Lv100.

  • 800,000: Must hold a PrzCureBerry to fight. Name it CheriBerry.
  • 1,000,000: You may not evolve it if it has evolutions, otherwise, the Pokemon must know three attacking moves of the same type if possible. Name it Random...
  • 1,059,860: The Pokemon is a Nuzlocke with three lives, no continues. If it dies, it loses a life, if it loses all it lives, it dies & may not be replaced. For every Gym Leader you beat, your Pokemon gains a life. Name it Nuzlocke!
  • 1,250,000: Your Pokemon thinks that he/she is better than all those petty wild Pokemon & must solo every Wild Pokemon you encounter from the moment you catch the Pokemon. Future Scramblemons are allowed to be captured. Name it IH8URandom.

Have fun.

@cabbage: You get BUTTS the Pidgey. Must learn and keep Gust. It must solo Falkner. To evolve, it must solo 50 Zubats (trained or untrained)
and to evolve again it must solo your rival's Totodile/Croconaw/Feraligatr 3 times, meaning your starter is a Cyndaquil.

Here's the reference.

Cabbage, you get a Zubat. Name it I Suck. It can evolve freely.

It must learn Detect, Confuse Ray, Fly, and Return by the first challenging of the Elite Four. After Beating Janine, it must replace Confuse Ray with Toxic.

Because Zubat wants to prove that it does not suck as badly as other Poison-types, it must solo Koga.

The Pokemon are done! I will begin on this challenge soon.

After beating Fantina I left Hearthome City and battled by rival, Random. I beat him easily becuase of the many members on my team. After that I reached Veilstone City easily, traning in the routes. I beat Maylene with ease becuase of Chingling, Rotom, and Monferno. I headed down to the resort where I trained my pokemon in the restruant. By the time I got to Pastoria City all my pokemon were above level 30. In Pastoria I battled my rival and destroyed him. After battling my rival I went to the Great Marsh where I spent a long time looking and catching a Skorupi. Finally, I was able to catch one and now I have caught all the pokemon I need to.

Current Team:

Water Boy the Level 32 Monferno (Female)
Adamant (+Att, -SpA)
Blaze
-Scratch
-Flame Wheel
-Ember
-Taunt

Bibarel the Level 34 Bibarel (Female)

-Confuse Ray
-Ominous Wind
-Double Team

Croagunk the Level 27 Skorupi (Male)
Serious (none)
Battle Armor
-Knock Off

-Scary Face

Right now Skorupi has really bad attacking moves. I will probably teach it some move tutor or tm moves.

On my phone so I cant go to the right forum but I need a quick opinion: Gamestop Raikou (variation of one or two down).
~10/31/31/31/~22/~19

This makes it really bulky but drops the max speed to 317. Worth keeping?

EDIT: Its HP is Grass so that also gives it a benifit. Also would someone mind running a full IV Check with Serebiis calc as theres probably only one combo that gives Grass and if its BP is 59 or greater Ill probably keep it.

Working on it. What are the stats etc.?

EDIT: Serebii tells me it is probably 10/31/31/31/21/19 @ Hidden Power Grass 49.
Sound right?

I'd chuck, it because if you are getting results that good, you can probably get a 31 Spe IV, which is more important that defensive stats on Raikou, and Hidden Power Grass is not used that much, I don't think.

I tried with the given IV's & made little variations...And no luck...With the IV's given there, you get BP70 HP Steel...I must not be doing it right, as I'm assuming Lv100, but in the end, it depends on what you want Raikou for.

EDIT: @ Atheno: Looked at those IV's & Serebii gave Dragon 49...

@Atheno, yeah sounds right.
@ Random, its Gamestop so its level 30

Its gonna be a CalmKou with CM, TB, Aura Sphere and something. Now I have to decide if HP Grass 49 is worth a subpar speed stat.
Which brings up a question.

*What base 100 that usually run max speed and base 110`s that run max w/o boosting nature have the potential to outspeed and KO or otherwise harm Raikou?*

@Random: approximate IVs, but the only Hidden Power Grass is 49 near there. And I have a name.

@ Texas: I'd go with Shadow Ball, but anyway: Celebi, Flygon, Jirachi, Shaymin do, and more if you are going to transfer to 5th gen. All of these are big threats in OU.

EDIT: If you are SRing, then definitely keep. And as for Swamp & Hippo, neither is OHKO'd with that Hidden Power after SR, if it helps.

EDIT2: Just imagined Texas huddled in a corner in Gamestop with his DS, as everyone else comes and goes. lol

Double post... Also HP GraSs would be used to take out Hippo and Pert since Aura Sphere takes Tar. ANd thats my best result sfter 4:30 of SRing

@Atheno: Yes you do. Anyway, HP Grass is only really used to defeat Swampert...And Hippowdon...Also Remember that this Raikou is Rash.

@Texas: As Atheno said, go with Shadow Ball, I wouldn't bother with Hidden Power, unless Swampert pisses you off.

EDIT: Texas is an awesome ninja.

It should be noticed that neither Hippo now Swampert is OHKO'd after SR by that LO Timid Raikou. Hippo still isn't, even at +1.

It is actually Rash...

Anyway, thanks for all the help guys, that was probably the best Raikou I was going to get (second 31 Def IV, seen about 3 of Speed and SpAtk each) and with Aura Sphere this thing can take TpTar easily. I will probably go with Shadow Ball for the perfect coverage, as it was my other option (from the question in ASAQ) but it is nice to have the option of Hp Grass.

So it looks like I may actually be able to get some Scrambling in if school allows it, at least until I go to pick up Entei 2 weeks from now. HG Scramble will probably be taken off indefinite hiatus but Ill probably start a new Scramble after Lance and finish it later.

Also Atheno, it wouldnt actually be a Gamestop but an EB Games as I am Canadian.

Playing Sapphire Payback Scramble, & I have noticed one thing, I am not likely to get past Watson...Basically, The team I have is a Mudkip which I can't evolve until it solos 5 G.L.M.P. Excluding Roxanne, & a Cheri Berry Zubat (Which is a Golbat now). That's all, I can face Watson anytime...I am not going to get past Watson anytime soon without some serious hax...Oh, well...

Solution: Grind Mupkip, and then spam Mud Slap.

That's the best I can do...

I need one more Pokemon for my HG scramble, apart for my starter. My current team is Gyarados, Quagsire, Raticate, Murkrow and starter.
