Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Does anyone know how to deal w/ erratic frame advancement on the daycare route in hgss?
Either anticipate it or be really quick with your button presses. Usually if it is gonna advance it will start you on Frame 3 instead of Frame 1. I also recommend using the X button to open the Pokegear rather than the touch screen as the X button will freeze the frames in place, and usually hitting B to exit out of the Pokegear and hitting A immediately doesn't allow him to mess up your frame.

It's a frame 13 egg. I pick it up AFTER the 10 elm calls to make sure I hit the delay, and pick the egg up. I got a frame 18 egg instead. I tried trusting the first 5 frames cuz nothing w/in 1 sec and 99 delay that I can possibly hit (one was 30 below my fastest and even while this delay is odd) match the first 5 elm calls, and I get a frame 15 egg. I'm not doing any radio or extra elm calls.

I've beaten everyone in that route, so only one npc "moves", and that's the youngster who rotates, not really moving, way too far off screen to keep track of.

Unchecking the Odd box did make results appear, but now all I get is odd. What up with that game? lmao.
Any ideas?

My guess is that when you were calibrating you put in the wrong year or something. Are the results close to what you were trying for?

Ok, I figured it out. I just have to scroll down to mystery gift and back to continue first. I hit my seed, finally! I am trying to hatch it to verify the shinyness. I'll IV abuse after I guess.

I am preparing some seeds for the Relaxed Suicune that will be coming out in a couple of weeks in the US. I was wondering if the spreads from this page will work. The ones you download as an excel file. I know there are wondercard spreads designed for set natures and whatnot but I am wondering if the regular seeds listed in that excel file won't work?

If they won't work, where do I go to find TR spreads for set natured Wondercard Pokemon?

any spread would work in wondercard pokes, you can find TR spreads in this way: use pokerng select n spread and use the seed finder in the RNG reporter and fill the boxe's,then select "wondercard's" in the main screen and hit generate.

I didn't really understand what you were telling me to do here...plus...my initial question wasn't answered...

I'm starting to think that I'm the first to experience my issue, because everytime I've asked over the months since it started, both here and at the number crunchers on GameFAQs, I can get no answers.

Any spread will work. Natures are generated at random so the nature of the spreads has no effect regardless.

It's the first I've ever heard of such a thing which leads me to believe that there's something you're doing wrong. I just don't have the faintest idea what. Is this a retail cart?

Ok, I finally did it and succeded in RNGing my first Pokemon. It is a Bold HP Electric Eevee. Thanks to everyone here who gave me assistance.

Since I was able make Dialga reappear on my Diamond version instead of my platinum version, how do I hit my target frame since my player moves and starts battling dialga by itself when I step closer?

i did this yesterday. What I did is I was behind the autotrigger tile (so I had to walk 2 times instead of 1 time) because I kinda deduced the number of steps to 5. Then I walked 250 steps, back and forth and did the journal flips and got to dialga +6 steps which gave me a plus 10 frames for walking. Battled and caught him no problems so i think that will work

Just a small question, not really sure on the answer (pardon me if it's noob, I don't know as much on this stuff)

Is RNG possible on non-English/Japanese games? The reason for it is that I came across an Italian SoulSilver game recently, and I've been wondering if it would be possible to RNG on it.

Thanks in advance :)

Yes. The only difference I know of is mentioned on the first frame and has to do with Raikou/Entei.

Hmmmm I searched a little and googled as well for pokewalker abuse guides/info or whatever. Although there are plenty of technical jargn the RNG researchers probably appreciate, my level of knowledge of this did not really allow me to understand how to Pokewalker abuse from that info. My googling skills only yielded a result of an example with a Brave spread and a capture date and some instructions. Although it seems fairly easy, is there a way or something I can find other natures spreads'?

If anyone could help me with a little tutorial on how to Pokewalker abuse that'd be great :) Other than the Brave natured pokemon or how to get to those numbers and stuff :P

Bump, still looking for this :)

Well, I sucessfully RNG'd my Treecko. :)
It was shiny, but the IV's failed. Oh well.
Just to make it easier for myself, does anyone know where I can get a copy of Siberia's Flawless ditto? :) It would make my life easier.

I need this spread on my Porygon (31/17/31/30/30/31). I have a hex-flawless Ditto to speed up the process. But RNG Reporter is having trouble finding a seed and frame for this spread. Since my IV spread has at least 3 flawless IVs, I know the Ditto can pass those on. But I guess since the remaining 3 non-flawless IVs are so specific it's having trouble finding a seed?

Shouldn't be as hard as finding a flawless spread seeing as at least three IVs are generated randomly anyway, I had a lot of trouble finding a 30/31/30/30/30/30 spread, in fact it was impossible, so I just used a 31/31/30/31/30/30 instead, that's doable. Just increase your delay range and it should be fine.

Also, this is somewhat embarrassing, but does anyone know how to breed for a nature without shiny? Without the use of everstone please, and through RNGing methods.

Use the Shiny Eggs tab and just enter a random ID and SID. You can leave "HGSS Shiny Egg" checked or unchecked, it doesn't matter.

One more question. Why, suddenly, are my times fluctuating out of control? I can hit my target delay fine and I've been able to hit my target time perfectly on countless occassions. Yet now, the past three times I've tried to abuse the RNG (three very different Pokemon with multiple tries on each), "Search Roamers" and "Search Elm" tell me my result can't be found. I end up having to increase the seconds parameter to +/- 3. Even then, the time I land on jumps around from say, 14:01:00 to 14:00:59 to 14:00:58 and so on.

Again, this is all of a sudden. For the past month I have never run into this problem.

That used to happen to me, but that was only because I was using ZomgTimer and I tried finding target delays that were identical / largely similar to my calibrated delays so I could button mash A as soon as I entered the game - this largely didn't work and I ended up getting seconds off, despite being confident about my calibrated delay / second. Now I just find delays that are much larger then my calibrated and this is now an non-issue. If this isn't your problem, then idk, I'm at a loss too.

Need some urgent help. I finally hit the time and delay I want, which was a pain in the ass since my times keep changing. Anyway, I'm about to advance my frame. I'm in the dragon's den fishing for a Dratini. I know for sure fishing will increase my frame by 3.

What role encounter slots play in this? The results tell me Dratini is encounter slot 1 and Dragonair is encounter slot 3. Am I supposed to use this information somehow to ensure I find the wild Pokemon I want, or is this just telling me which Pokemon I might be able to randomly find? It's tedious since I've been resetting over and over and re-hitting my target delay and frame hoping for a Dratini or Dragonair.

Just wondering, can you use Method J in HGSS? Like if I choose a seed that appears under Method J, but not under Method K, will it's still work?

That would explain if why I couldn't get a flawless BCC Scyther. (And me wasting a week searching for a damn seed to give me BCC Scyther.)

no they're two different methods of generation and are not interchangeable, method K is HGSS and J is to DPP

Use either of these lists depending on which game you're playing (it's the same for most Pokemon anyway, just version exclusives change it). Look up your location and slot. That's the Pokemon that you will find.
