5th Gen PRNG Help / Info - Latest: RNG Reporter 9.96.5, PPRNG 1.15.0

I forgot if the current RNG reporter can give IV spreads for non-japanese versions of the game... I know I should probably not ask such a dumb question, but I just want to know. If it doesn't will it be supported with the new release Sunday? And if 'no' to that question, when will it support the non-Japanese games? Thank you in advance for putting up with my stupidity...

C-Gear is not version dependent. I can use the same C-Gear seeds that I use on my English Black on my Japanese White. But non-C-Gear for English games is not supported in the current RNG Reporter. It will be supported in the new release.

Is there an initial calibration phase for Black/White when using C-gear seeds, and if so what is it and is it possible to calibrate it without the use of an Action Replay?

No there's not. You calibrate by trying to hit your seed. And if you can get exact IVs in some way, you can calibrate without an Action Replay.

So I've been trying to RNG Reshiram.

I've added all of my info, such as the MAC Address, Method 5 (C-Gear,) I've edited the minimum delay, 1500, and maximum delay, 4000. The Max Frames were changed to 10, so it'd be easier to check the results after capturing Reshiram. Then I generate, and I got a seed with 4 frames (which is very good, btw.) So I took that seed and went to Seed to Time, changed my date and time on the DS, and then opened my ZomgTimer and inserted my Target Delay, put the Calibration Delay to -95, and then got the time. So I'm doing the process of the C-Gear and stuff, where when it hits zero, you turn on your C-Gear in game, I'm doing all of that correctly.

Now, I know when you turn on C-Gear you're starting on frame 3. I use Repel, and after those 100 steps I walk another 28 steps. I then battle Reshiram. By the way, the only Pokemon I have in my party is Munna with Timid Synch, so when I walk 128 steps the frames only advance by 1, and I'm using the Master Ball. I catch it, and check the IVs. Now when I try to get the results of the IVs, NONE of the results show the IVs I just got. And I know this because I am looking at the 4th IV on RNGReporter since I started on frame 4.. so I don't know what's it that I'm doing wrong. I've done this over 4 times already.

Is it because I'm using a DSi so the MAC Address is "wierd?" Can anyone explain this to me?

NP? And I tried RNGing on the regular DS and it's still giving the same problem. I'm catching Reshiram but I'm not seeing the IVs I'm getting from the game / MetalKids, in the results.

Just got my Black today and I love playing it on my DSi, but I know for RNG you have to use a DS. So my question is would I be causing much damage if I do my WFC settings on my DSi now and just override them on DS later?

Still wondering.

Stationary: Not moving. So yes, it's a stationary.

Stationary Pokemon just make it easier to RNG abuse due to most being high level imo. (Verifying IVs is easier this way)

I was wondering if anyone knows the upper and lower seed locations for the US White? There different from the Japanese White. (I think)

If you don't move, you don't advance the RNG. If you don't advance the RNG, the shadows don't show up.

And that's too complicated to pull off, especially when there are better alternatives once RNG Reporter 9 gets its final release.

Oh, I did not know that :P Ok, I think I'll just wait :D

Edit: With C-Gear Seeds, is the nature and ability not able to be controlled (Outside of a Sychronizer for the nature)?

Sorry, I wasn't specific before. I meant the upper and lower seed locations for emulator abuse. (Desmume) Also PID locations too. I already have the Japanese ones, just need US locations.

Still wondering.

No, it won't make a difference. You're not supposed to, but I'm going to get a new DS soon and it doesn't matter.

Anyway, there's no point in using a DS at the moment since English B/W non-c-gear has not been released/deduced yet, and a regular DSi can do C-gear abuse as well.

Excellent! Thank you.

One last question: since C-Gear seeds work in US version, would PIDRNG still work on them? (Or there's a difference between Japan and US versions?)

Also if I keep hitting even delays, then should I switch the year? I know we can hit odd or even delays but I'm always hitting even delays. (I need to hit the delay: 7019)

Alright i just started RNG for the 5th Gen.

Well the version I am using an English White, but the only options are Black(Japanese) and White(Japanese). Is it fine to put White(Japanese)?

My mac address is 8E-E1-41 if it matters

The version doesn't matter at all if you're working with C-Gear seeds.

No. C-Gear seeds only change the IVRNG. Non C-Gear seeds are what determine the value of the PIDRNG, but don't ask about those yet.

And you're supposed to be beta testing RNG Reporter, not playing with the programs RNG Reporter are replacing.

Ok, so I hit the IV seed I needed and now I just need to advance my frames... My question is how to I check/advance what nature I'll get. In my case I want a Jolly Zekrom (ability/nature doesn't matter)... For the seed I am on, RNG Reporter says there's a jolly nature on PID frame 41... How do I get it to frame 41? Also, since it is a C gear seed, does that RNG start on frame 3 as well? Trying to see how many times I'll need to advance =)

Also, does depositing pokemon back into the PC advance the frame by 7 as well?

I totally forgot about synchronizers and now I'm stuck in N's castle without a Jolly Synchro pokemon >.<
One of the Grunts will warp you back to the Pokémon League. Or can you not turn back once you get to the room with the dragons? In that case, you can either just keep trying until you get the nature you want, or you can wait for non-C-Gear seeds to be figured out.

I just found out that if you lose against Zekrom (or Reshiram) then you can warp back and fight him again.

Hmm so i tried C-Gear RNG, but at level 50 zekrom doesnt give exact IVs :/

So i guess im going to try non C-Gear RNG.

finding the value of the MTIVRNG without hacking

^So is there no way to find this without an AR yet? I lost my cord so i cant update it -___-

Non-C-Gear RNG is not supported yet. For Zekrom, if you catch it, lose to N, then go to the Hidden Power checker, I think that should give you an accurate result.

Just wanted clarification on this. Activating the C-Gear from the Continue Screen only causes timing issues, right? So I could potentially calibrate the timing for doing it that way and still hit my C-Gear seed, right? Or does activating it that way mess up actual seeding?

yeah thats what i have been doing :/

Im using Psypoke IV calc and i get results like:

2-3/24-25/18-19/16-17/2-3/10-11

But from these results there are to many combination's for me to try and guess haha -_____-

Edit: What did you mean by hidden power checker?

It causes major timing issues, and major inconsistencies with both the delay and the second (which will be way off). Stick with turning it on only in-game.
