To be honest, EV training is one of the least significant parts of building a team. If it takes you more than a few hours to do it all, you're probably doing something wrong.

it may be the timer0. try to use the "simple seed generation" to find out wich seed you are getting by putting different timer0 values.
the "MTIVRNG seed check code" has to be used by converting the money, then converting the ID and finally by putting them together to form a 8-ciphers hexadecimal number. if the number has less than 8 ciphers, you have to add zeros in front of it.
lol true. But each battle you can earn at most 14 EVs, which means vitamins can save about 7 battles. It's still nontrivial.
More importantly, I saw a couple of posts asking whether one can RNG abuse using Sweet Scent in the Giant Chasm. The answer is yes, and the way to do it is to save in the Giant Chasm, advance the month of your DS by 1 (just need to change the season), enter the game, run around until you get a wild encounter, defeat it or escape. At this point the season will have changed, and the fog is removed. Now you save, and when you load the game again, you have one Sweet Scent before the fog comes back again.
I needed this information some time ago, but couldn't find it anywhere on the Internet. I learned this trick through a friend. I thought this information might help some of you, too.
I am using a DS (original) there is no game in the Advance slot. I have watched the video many times to make sure i understood how not to mess this up, and I constantly hit the same mark so I even chose a Target IV with 1 frame, and no button press to try to fool proof this. I know I'm not hitting my mark because the HP IV at 30-31 on a level 50 Reshiram is 175. I just need to know what I'm doing wrong here. I do understand how to RNG Abuse in Gen 4, but I was never able to hit my seed, but once. I just think I'm missing something. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
- RNG reporter 9.81
- I am trying to RNG abuse a Reshiram, useing Standard / non-Seed RNG Abuse.
- Mac Address: 00-09-BF-C9-33-3E
- I verify with the IV's of the captured Reshiram.
- Target IV's 30,31,20,31,23,31 with frame 1 and the stats I get are, 164, 137, 99, 168, 134, 113.
In his case, it cannot be timer0 because C-Gear Entralink abuse is not Standard Abuse.
So, something odd is happening. I have a seed, for which I have to do 122 Chatters to get to PID frame 180, which is shiny. I used this shiny spread before, so I know I have to do 122 Chatters. But, when I do 121, I'm landing on 178, and when I do 122, I'm landing on 181, so what do I do wrong?
So whats the process for RNGing shiny fossils? i never got an answer to that
also on standard seeds if i find a seed thats in bold then its syncronizable right? so for example i find a spread i like but its serious nature and in bold then i can take a sync and after ive advanced my PID right i just switch the sync in front and it may have the right nature correct?
If you button-mash the way through the cutscene, you can pretty consistently hit the same PID frame every time. So I just advanced the frame one Chatter at a time, trying each one out, until I got the nature I wanted.I started rng'ing for thundurus. I've hit my seed several times, but since i want the nature, and the rain really messes up everything, will saving inside the house help me hit something a lot easier? if not, shall i count seconds after the season shows up in order to advance my pids?? Also, how am i supposed to get a fairly accurate reading of what i hit, when there are a lot of pids with the same nature as what i hit?

There may be a more efficient way, but that's how I did it.
I think it started around 450, but it's hard to say for sure. Also, it depends on whether or not it's raining normally (since that will affect the PID before the roamer shows up). Also also, since it doesn't advance predictably, knowing where you started isn't really going to help anyway.is there a good range of pids that you recommend to start looking like 100+ range or something? and also you saved inside the house right?
If the IVs changed, you missed your seed. Probably Timer0 acting up.I've been trying to get a 31/31/31/x/31/31 Adamant Zekrom, and I can hit the right seed with the IV's, however every time I try to advance the PIDRNG by saving, the IV's change as well as the nature! I am stumped, and any help would be appreciated.
I have these settings:
Method: Standard (Non C-Gear)
Version: White
System: DS Lite
Seed: DF654A63
MAC Addess: E84ECE032A54
VCount: 60
VFrame:6
GxStat:6
Timer0:C7F
At 6/26/11 6:39:25 I get a lonely 31/31/31/26/31/31 Zekrom on frame 7, and after saving I get a 20/9/11/0/31/7 Adamant (using sync).
Am I missing an obvious step?

In-game trades are totally static. There's no way to influence them at all. Also, I have a question: can you use Standard Seed abuse for in-game traded Pokemon like Rotom? If so, what IV Frame do you use?

So Sweet Scent doesn't advance the frame at all in B/W? If I load the game with the C-gear off in a patch of grass / water / a cave and immediately use Sweet Scent, the Pokémon I get will be on frame 1 (for IVs)?
