5th Gen PRNG Help / Info - Latest: RNG Reporter 9.96.5, PPRNG 1.15.0

Yes if the route has grass and you are walking outside of the grass the PID frame will be advanced 2 frames every 20 steps.
You're doing 256 steps with 6 Pokemon in your party? I'd think it would be better to do 384 steps with 4 Pokemon in your party so you don't have to go back to the Pokemon center but anyways that's not really important.

Do steps, battle Landorus, catch it immediately (make sure your synchronizer isn't first in your party). If the IVs are correct, check its nature. Check for a match near RNG reporter's "Calculated Initial PIDRNG Frame."

Ok, so 2 frames every 20 steps. I take 256 steps. That should be 24 frame advances for 240 steps right?

I'm repeatedly getting Jolly for my correct seed and Naive for my adjacent seed, but I'm not sure what to do from here.

My correct seed, 67099F71CAD77D00, has an Initial of 51, and Jolly frames are at 64, 65, 83, and 85. My adjacent seed, 6A106BD6DC75CF95, has an initial of 52, with Naive frames at 68, 73, and 99.

None of these are 24 advances. Shouldn't 256 steps advance the frame the same amount regardless of seed?

What's the characteristic? (Like Often dozes off, likes to thrash about etc). I'll see if I can help you figure out which is the correct starting frame via the PID%6 method.

Jolly's is Alert to sounds. Do you need the Naive one's as well?
It's not frame 64 or 85. It could be either 65 or 83 (leaning towards 65). To check you can do your steps again, view Chatot's summary once, then battle Landorus ( make sure the synchronizer isn't first). That should tell you what the nature for the next frame is. If I'm right it should be Hasty (frame 66).

Looking for someone to help with Nature synching/shiny standard abuse. Like step - by - step, not a guide or tutorail. VM me, and I can offer up to 5 credits in my shop, or first 5 RNG's in succesful. I can RNG for IV's via catching

Is it possible to have a different timer0 after a while? My usually timer0 is C7F, but now I am getting more consistent results from C7E. Thanks!

you have both, depending on your DS you're more likely to get one more than another most of the time.
There are some small factors which can cause some bias (loading time of ROM and sav file), which can cause you to get one instead of the other (ie not typical).

for shiny roamer
can i hit a PID frame of 623 in spring?
initial frame is 45.

Is there light drizzle before the major shitstorm? If so no, I don't think you can hit it.

If there's no weather of any kind, it's kinda 50/50. I personally recommend a frame of 650+. 623 is a little too close for comfort, but I'd say you can hit it.

Perhaps you missed post #3?
  • If you are using a flashcart (D:), you might be able to standard seed abuse as they do not run in DSi mode.
    • Extend the searching range for all of the parameter sections to find your flashcart's parameters. They will be different depending on the class of SD memory you use and the flashcart and firmware itself.
    • Asking if your card runs in DSi mode does not belong here. The answer is obvious.

  • You may still do C-Gear abuse with your DSes, however it is extremely recommended that you have a firm grasp of the material. Experience from 4th gen Delay hitting is beneficial.
  • Do not ask if/when DSi/3DS standard seeds have been cracked.
    • If there is new information, this thread will be updated to contain it.

YOU CANNOT ABUSE STANDARD SEEDS WITH A DSi/XL/3DS

So I'm trying to rng my roamer and i get the following from chattering

+0: timid
+1: sassy
+2: lax
+3: timid
+4: lax

and i get these consistently, but this doesnt correspond to any pattern on the PIDRNG for my seed 5F3DE7EF637F8779

whats up with this?

Non-shiny roamer? You're better off trying to get the nature by luck.

Shiny roamer? You're sort of on the wrong track already. That 0, 1, 2, 3,... isn't going to help you and you're not going to find exact patterns. Read this and How to setup researcher to do PID%6

EDIT: looks like Kaphotics found it.

Seed: 5F3DE7EF637F8779
Initial: 51

Find all frames in which the natures occur for the roaming Pokemon. Then see where they cluster.

Code:
Timid: [U]495[/U] 499 558 566 608 627 640 668 693 698 723
Sassy: [U]498[/U] 548 549 585 718 724
Lax: [U]492[/U] 521 563 606 612 631 655 692 749
Timid: 495 [U]499[/U] 558 566 608 627 640 668 693 698 723
Lax: [U]492[/U] 521 563 606 612 631 655 692 749

do more to verify, like +6 +7 +8 +9 +10

all it does is help you narrow down the frames to be more precise on what you hit.

Preparing to RNG breed; using 9.81 Beta.

I'm looking for seeds to breed shiny flawless pokes, and for the sake of being lazy, I'm just going to use the first seeds I find over and over again. I'm just wondering how many different seeds I should have/use, not counting specific Hidden Power spreads?

So far I came up with:
- x/x/x/31/31/31, Ability 1, All inheritance from mother (Ditto w/ Male/Genderless)
- x/x/x/31/31/31, Ability 0, All inheritance from mother (Ditto w/ Male/Genderless)
- Same as above 2, with inheritance from father (Ditto w/ Female)
- Same as above 4, but with 0 IV for Speed (Trick Room)
- x/x/x/31/31/31, Dream World Ability, All inheritance from father (RNG'd father w/ DW female)

All with Everstone frames. Anything else that I'm forgetting?

I've been trying to catch an all 31 Ditto, and I keep getting Clefairy, with all 31's. I didn't get rid of the fog. Ikept trying, walking in different grass spots, and when I get ditto it has the same horrible spread, but its nowhere to be found on RNG Reporter. What's happening.
