5th Gen PRNG Help / Info - Latest: RNG Reporter 9.96.5, PPRNG 1.15.0

I'm going to need more data. A screenshot comparing your Time Finder output between 9.81 and 9.92 would be helpful.

EDIT: I just ran searches with White on both 9.81 and 9.92. I'm getting the exact same output.

Here's my results from 9.81

Results from 9.9

Also my parameters if you need them.

That was with 9.9 now I cant even get my parameters on 9.92 :(

been told to write this clearly

I upgraded to 9.9 and it gave me timer0s but like july they were never right. (the exact problem july has) but now on 9.92 it wont even give me parameters

I just did my parameters on 9.92 and had no problem getting results but I remember the first time I tried to do it, a few weeks ago, i had the same, somewhat, problem. Just try with another date/time. maybe?

I've returned back to this thread with more stupid questions.

I just updated to 9.92 and just heard the news that it's finally possible to RNG with DSis and 3DS now. This is beyond awesome because I just so happened to have bought myself a 3DS recently so the only uses my Lite had left was Pokemon RNGing. But now it looks like I don't have to.

Anyway to the point, I'm seeing big issues in recalibrating my parameter and hitting seeds. Not because I don't know how, but because my 3DS clock is not displaying seconds, only the hour and minute. I tried messing with the settings but I haven't seen anything that can change it.

I just want to know if there is any way to fix that, because that sort of information is vital. I guess I could just start using a stop watch/timer of sorts from the outside if I really have to but it's only more effort and a lot less accurate.

I'm assuming there 'has' to be some way to to fix it anyway, or else I don't know how else it's possible. (Unless people really are using a second timer)

The only advice I have for you is that when changing your clock, you must always change the minute in order to reset the seconds to 0. If you changed the clock to 12:10, and decided you messed up the seconds, you'd need to first change it to 12:11 or 12:09 or whatever and then back to 12:10.

I feel really stupid right now.

I've RNG'd wild Pokemon and legendaries quite a bit.

Trying to get the Wondercard Victini, and I'm completely lost. I read the guide too. Maybe it's because I haven't RNG'd for 4-6 months.

So what I'm doing is chatting to a spread on frame 55 I want given having the date and time of the spread. Then I check that Victini's IVs, and find that in the list that is given by entering the seed into the generator? Then I subtract the frame from 55 and advance it that much to get my Victini...?

But I'm getting frames higher than 55, I think 110. So I dunno what went wrong.

OH WAIT. I'm in the Nimbasa Poke center. There is probably a moving NPC there. DOH! If that was it, I'm gonna be pissed.

Remember that the PID frame STARTS on 40-55 or so. That's why 55 is the recommended minimum search.

So you're probably starting around 50 or so, and the chatters and NPCs are pushing it to 110.

Yeah, but the result IS supposed to be lower than 55, right, so you subtract it from 55 to get your advances?

I'm hoping the NPC is the cause of those extra 55+ frames. About to find out.

EDIT: I got 104.

Somebody walk me through this. This is draining all the time I should be spending on homework.

*sigh* Another victim of that damned guide...

55 is not the actual minimum frame for wondercards. It is the suggested minimum frame for wondercard searches. That is because the PIDRNG initial frames range from around 39-58. What you need to do is take the seed from the results, plug it back in the main window, and click "Calculate Initial PIDRNG frame".

You should not be Chattering 55 times at all. You need to be Chattering only enough to get from the calculated initial frame, to the frame that gets you the Victini you want.

DAMN IT, THAT WAS ALL I BLOODY HAD TO DO!? (Just plug the seed straight into the generator and just click one button? REALLY?)

GUIDE, WHY YOU FAIL ME SO!?

So yeah, frame 47 is initital frame then, I advance 8 chatot screams.
MY FREAKING JEW ZEUS! I wasted 2 hours on this crap.

Should have come to this forum upon my first failure.
Thanks guys.

EDIT: Let's hope I don't regret choosing a Jolly over Adamant Victini down the road, as I only have one game.

EDIT2: So... I got 4/6 stats perfect and the wrong nature. Let's hope I just messed up the timing on booting the game.

Hey what does a GRAY nature mean in the PIDRNG?
It isnt white and isnt black. I thought black meant synch able? It was black in the time finder

hmm well its almost dark gray? its filled in more than the serious nature next to it.
Do you want to see what I mean?
EC09840D95182F63
Thats my seed. Go to frame 449.
heres the ID 45216 and SID 40478 im using if it matters

Bolded means it's a synchable. Grey means neutral nature or Gentle\Lax.
Grey AND Bolded means it's a synchable neutral nature.

It' s strange, but I try to compare with an other seed, but it's ok.
Maybe is simple random mistake, or a seed error.
I don't know... I try to change seed... I think that is the way XD

If you want to RNG Wondercard Pokemon, the very best place to do it is at the Elite Four's Pokemon Center. Otherwise you're at the mercy of wandering NPCs.

That said you can also RNG in Accumula Town's Pokemon Center, where there is only one wandering NPC. Expect a 2-frame PIDRNG advancement before you can even do anything though; if your PIDRNG initial frame is 50, treat it as frame 52 instead. I was able to successfully RNG the Wondercard Victini there with a single gym badge.

Just thought I'd let you know that Norton doesn't seem to like RNG Reporter 9.92. It's fine with previous versions, but it says that 9.92 is acting suspiciously, any help?

Hello, I come bearing news of more bugs in 9.92 =( Sorry to be the bearer, as well as the large pictures -.- In order of significance:

1. This is the biggie. I can't generate Breeding (Black/White) seeds for 5th-Gen at ALL. Everytime I try, I get this error:
Bug1.png

2. More of an issue of confusion than anything else. What the heck are all these new columns? And why doesn't frame 1 show up shiny like it did in 9.91?
Bug2.png

3. Small, but annoying to see every time I try to open up RNGReporter.

Thanks for your hard work =)
