Did you use international parents? If so, you can't do that, since the PID rerolls are against the ID/SID of the game you RNG'd it on.I've tried to make my Durant hatch shiny in my Black 2 game (rng'd in White 1), but it hatched normally with the right nature and IVs. I changed my White 1 SID/ID to match my Black 2, and it spat out 6AAE76330BDCC516 which was supposed to give me the PID EC995500, but gave me this Durant instead. I double checked with my normal W1 ID in the main window afterwards; it didn't come up shiny and gave me the PID of my current Durant. What do I have to do to make an egg shiny on another save?
EDIT: I've done this before, so is this just a bug?
It'll only be a problem for people who are just now getting into the games, since everyone else can use BW1 for breeding, and will almost certainly be fixed in the next set of games as well, so it's only temporary. A way to work around it may come up in the meantime, but it'd be a lot of work to figure out and program for not much reward. What are competitive players going to do without the ability to RNG eggs? Will there ever be a way to RNG eggs in the future?
