college acceptances

I haven't heard back from anywhere because I'm a lazy fuck and didn't do Early Action anywhere. The schools I applied to (or am going to apply to over my Christmas break (yaaaaaay fun stuff)) are Northwestern, Brown, Columbia, Dartmouth, Stanford, University of Rochester, University of Wisconsin- Madison, and Boston University. My GPA and extracurriculars aren't anything amazing so I'm hoping that my 35 ACT will let me sneak into an Ivy- but I'd really by happy at any of the above schools. I'm not keeping my hopes too high, and I'm honestly expecting to get rejected from the ivies / Stanford but it's worth a shot. Good luck everybody!

I heard from Georgia Tech. They accepted me. But MIT decided to defer me to Regular Decision. I hope they accept me next round.

nobody is coming to visit me at princeton?

maybe if my name was wolf lionhearted the third, had an extra 200 points on my SAT, an extra .15 tacked on my gpa and curled stones at a division I collegiate level...

then maybe, just maybe I'd come to visit you at princeton...and even then it would be a long shot.

getting my ATAR (australian tertiary admission rank) on thursday along with a few more smogoners, although it doesn't immediately tell me what university i'm going to end up at it will give me a pretty good idea (and it at least tells me what i'm guaranteed to be able to do) will update when i get it

There are no guarantees with the ATAR, technically, since it's possible that one year everyone wants to do Psychology and then the ATAR jumps up to 99.95 out of nowhere.

But yeah, they're a pretty good guide.

Have you used the Bored of Studies ATAR calculator? It's usually a decent predictor.

My sister just got her acceptance letter from University of Michigan a couple of days ago. Since I go there too, my parents were pretty excited that they didn't have to drive to two different places when they wanted to visit. Anyways, University of Michigan is a great college, if anyone was contemplating whether or not to apply there.

my resentment at the college process is growing much like uragg's did earlier this year...SO MANY $W%T$R%*O@$#* DEFERS. #%@#

I applied to Standford, University of Washington and University of Pennyslvania. Also I want to apply to Harvard, but I think I might be rejected lol

Anyone apply to Vanderbilt or plan on applying there? I just got accepted a few days ago and was wondering if anyone else did/is going to, but it looks like no one before me has.

got an atar of 90.15! which means that i should make the business course i want to do with bonus points! not bad for a year spent playing league of legends and not studying I'LL SEE YOU THERE RENOSAUR
