I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but what's the big deal with using Double Team in competitive play? I get the idea that most people don't like Double Team, like it's too powerful or something... But to that I say this: Double Team can be hazed or psuedo-hazed away, regardless, just like stat boosts. That doesn't seem over-powered to me.

With luck, you can easily set up against everything(Imagine a Mixape with 90%chace of avoiding your attacks.GG,isn't it?)

This is too hard to explain, bottom line evasion moves are too powerful..

Thanks Jumunji or whatever(lol J/K)

Thanks for your responses everyone (regarding Double Team). See, stat boosters affect stats, but pokemon don't have an evasion stat (I imagine), rather I think all pokemon have an equal, independent value defined separately from their stats that affects their evasion ability. If this is the case, all pokemon have the same chance to "dodge" attacks well, as opposed to if the case were different (that is, if all pokemon had their own "evasion" stat, and thus some would be able to utilize Double Team more effectively merely because they had a higher "evasion" stat than other pokemon, and would get a greater boost in the long run).

I'm sure this is asked a lot.

How does Mirror Coat work?

If the user is hit by a Special-based attack on the turn it uses Mirror Coat, the user will attack the attacking Pokemon for 2x the total damage the user received from the attack.

Does that mean that I use Mirror Coat, then it applies to the next turn?

like...
Both Players Input action
Opponent goes first uses Special Attk
I go second using Mirror coat and reflects the dmg?

Mirror Coat makes you go last. If you're hit by a special attack the damage is sent back double to the opponent. If you're hit by a physical attack, or not attacked at all, it fails. Simple.

Are these all the chances which a pokémon can have for it's gender?

87.5 %
75 %
50 %
25 %
12.5 %

(Barring one-gender only pokémon)

I'm not sure wether 37.5 and 62.5 should be in there, and Veekun is down. :(

Yeah that seems about right.

I think it doesn't even work for GTS, as Mew isn't allowed to be given in trades. You need the cheat that allows you to give [any random thing] as Mew, or something like that.

Wish I had that code ._.

The code does work for the GTS, the Level 9 or under Mew, here it is:

I don't think you can offer it though.

Not sure whether it's for Diamond or Pearl, just press L+R and first Pokemon in your party should be replaced.

I really need the PokeSav file for it, as the code is generated by PokeSav.

Well, if you need the Mew itself, here it is. But how does the code work exactly? And when do I press L+R?

When you breed with Nidoran-F as the mother, both male and female Nidorans are created.

EDIT: Beaten. Same thing happens with Volbeat and Illumise, by the way.

Are all unevolved forms of OU pokemon UU?, or are there special circumstances? I guess what I mean is are some of the pokemon like Magmar, and Electabuzz good enough to BL or are they all UU?

It's up to debate currently, but the generally accepted consensus so far is that only NFEs that are significantly different from their OU counterparts are allowed in UU.
Discussion thread here if you want to toss in your $0.02.

Thanks for the file. I hope it works, meanwhile open PokeSav and load that file into Pokemon Slot 1. Press OK, then press AR DS Code Output, then Party Pokemon Codes, Pokemon 1.
At the top it says press L+R to activate, I presume this is any time in game.
Then the XML is created. Now I can use it as a code, or as you've sent me the file I'll just edit my save and try it out.

It just replaces the Pokemon in slot 1, with that Mew. How it works on the GTS? Not sure yet.
