All pokemon cost their rarity, but non-evolving pokemon ONLY cost 3 extra TC when purchased. Therefore, Torchic has a rarity of two and evolves, thus costing you 2 TC. Heracross, on the other hand, has a rarity of 4 AND does not evolve, costing 3+4=7. We clear now?

From the data audit thread: "The cost of single stage Pokemon is added by 3 if it's not a starter." Heracross is obviously a single stage pokemon, and therefore costs 4+3=7 TC. Thus, you can not afford to purchase a Heracross with your 5 TC, let alone get Heracross AND a Torchic.

You can't really DQ a ref. It's an expectation but not really ironclad. See if you can find a sub first, or at least wait a day after the DQ.
